So I was deduced to feeling like a damn toddler sitting there! lol but no seriously it was bad! The service was cold as well. No smiles. No check-in on the food. Had to ask for takeaway items. We both got gyros but for some reason it took like 25 mins to get them? Which is odd to me considering Johnnys spit them out in two seconds. The gyros were standard. I was so excited to learn that this restaurant was located approximately 30 min away from my house and that driving to North Jersey for Turkish food might not be my only option anymore. We started with the mezze platter and the shepherds salad (çoban salatası). The mezze were very tasty and were served with warm authentic Turkish bread. The salad tasted fresh, not like it sat around in the fridge all day. This is extremely important for a dish like this that has very simple ingredients. For our main meal we got the Meat Lover's Pide (Karışık Pide) and Lamacun, both of which were very well made and extremely flavorful. We also got the Iskender Kebab, the dish by which I judge all Turkish restaurants. In this case, they fell short for me. While the meat tasted ok, and most people wouldn't know what they are missing, I could tell that it was processed/packaged pre-made meat and not freshly made and carved onsite. I'm wondering if this was because it was early in the day and they save the good stuff for the busy dinner service. It was also served very plainly. I expected and would have appreciated a charred hot green pepper and some tomatoes at least along with my Iskender. These are very common accompaniments. The pilav that it was served with was also very underwhelming. I hope they will improve on this dish as it's a favorite of mine usually. The interior isn't fancy at all and is maybe even a little sparse. However, they have authentic Turkish music playing in the background and pictures and paintings of all things Turkish. The service was attentive and pleasant and I enjoyed the overall vibe. We're looking forward to returning with our children soon to try the Manti, Mercemek çorbası and other main entrees. read more

Food is delicious. Very well prepared and fresh. Service is professional although the server weren't very friendly... not rude, but not very welcoming either. The decor is updated and very pleasant and comfortable. The food is so delicious that I would overlook the lack of server pleasantries and return in order to taste the chicken shish kebab and the hummus again that I had which was absolutely superb. Went here for lunch in the middle of the week and was quite surprised to this gem. I've been the Lehigh Valley for about 6 years now and never tried this place, but always wanted to. First off, cute little restaurant with a decent amount of seating and mom and pop authentic feel to it. They offer lunch specials throughout the week which are priced fairly and affordable. I got the Adana kebab sandwich and went back shortly after to try the Doner lunch platter. Absolutely delicious meat both times - very well seasoned and succulent. The sandwich was a good sized portion. I liked that there was enough sauce for it to be juicy but not messy. The platter was a larger portion, so I got to enjoy the leftover rice/pita/meat the next day. Salad was well dressed and a refreshing balance to the heavier items. Finally, the baklava - I spotted this delicious dessert when picking up takeout on my first visit and knew I had to go back to try it. So thankful this gem opened up in the valley. I would have had no idea this place was so good as they have the shades covering their windows so it is impossible to see inside from the outside. The parking lot outside of the establishment is spacious and kept clean. Our party of 4 called ahead to make a reservation and we came during peak dinner time and there were vacant tables available. We ordered the mixed appetizer which consists of various different Turkish-fare with a type of grits in the middle with a side of soft bread which paired delightfully. The assortment tasted fresh and was packed with unique individual flavors including the stuffed grape leaves. The chicken lamb and adana kebabs were freshly made and juicy! Spice levels were well-balanced, rice was fluffy and mixed in with chickpeas, the side salad was fresh and dressed in a peculiar light dressing. Beware -- the "vegan" menu is really vegetarian, and if you order the veggie Turkish dumplings, you can remove the yogurt but not the butter. I recommend Anatolian Kitchen to everyone looking for delicious authentic Turkish food. Actually it is more than that: I recommend it to anyone who wants to sample a ton of different and delicious food and still feel good even after overeating! I had one of the best meat lovers pide, lahmacun that is probably the best I had in many years. Meze and coban salatasi (see pictures) were delicious. Ayran (yogurt drink) was the only item that I did not devoured! probably hand made and I am too used to manufactured versions I guess. There is parking at the front, place is nice and clean. Our server was Turkish and she served us with the gentle touch which reminded me of how caring family members would serve food. I took desert home: kazandibi, sutlac and kunefe! I only got a picture of the amazing baklava but the entire meal was amazing. We had the mixed appetizer. The bread that came with it was amazing and all the appetizer options were delish. Delicious!! I ordered takeout for the mixed grill platter and the lentil soup. Everything was so tasty. The mixed grill platter had chicken and lamb kebabs and a ground lamb kebab. All had great flavor but the ground lamb had a little spicy kick that made it over the top. It came with rice that had chicken peas, pickled cabbage, a salad and sautéed onions and a pita. I loved eating a little bit of everything with the pita. The lentil soup was puréed but still with texture- it was addicting! The ladies that helped me were so sweet and friendly. In my travels around the country, I am always happy when I find restaurants categorized in the Mediterranean tradition of cooking. One of my all time favorites is a fantastic Persian restaurant in St Louis, MO. It may not be fair, but their food preparation is my standard for this cuisine. And so when I was looking on YELP for a place to have lunch, I was happy to find this restaurant and the good reviews. The venue is in a strip mall of sorts, with other restaurants and small businesses. It was clean there were several tables in the middle of the floor and booths around the walls. I was greeted and invited to sit wherever I wished. I started with a Turkish tea and a water and perused the colorful menu trying to make up my mind. I decided on lamb chops and chicken kabob. It is served with rice, salad, and pita. To begin, the tea was delicious! It was very hot, as I like it, and full of flavor. I wanted more but was not offered more, until I was almost through with my meal. When my plate was delivered, there were only lamb chops - no chicken. It seems that the gentleman who took my order misunderstood my order. We talked about the dual meat items when I was ordering and I told him that I really liked lamb chops - which is how he might have misunderstood my order. He asked if I wanted chicken, but I got the sense - perhaps wrongly - that he would have had to prepare another order. I chose not to press it and have him lose the expense of the food. I don't want to cost small business owners their small profits if I can. The meal: 4 charbroiled small lamb chops. I prefer chops that are medium to rare in temperature. These were well done but somehow managed to be tender and quite tasty. (Again, I have strong bias for lamb chops prepared at Natasha's in St Louis. No place has matched them for flavor, juiciness, etc. BUT, these are a strong runner up. The char flavor was wonderful. The salad and rice with chick peas were a good accompaniment. I only wish there had been a little more salad. There were three wedges of Pita, which were enough for me. This was a good place to come for my major meal of the day. The small mistakes didn't turn me off. I think it is a good restaurant for this community and if ever in the neighborhood, I'd stop in again - maybe to try the chicken kebab. read more

My husband studied abroad in Greece so gyros are a favorite of his. We ordered from AK this summer to fill that desire and they were good but not great. Honestly, the last time we had gyros before AK was in Greece so AK was at an unfair disadvantage comparison wise. The fries were nothing special and the tzatziki was not as plentiful as we hoped.
