This authentic family owned and operated restaurant has been a staple in the community for over a decade. The food is prepared with love and skill. Everything is so good it's hard to decide. There are several tables to sit and eat indoors or outdoors on their new patio. You can also do take out. If you call and the line is busy call back. This is old school one phone line. The food is fresh and the pita are the softest I have ever had. There is a great menu with selections of handhelds, salads and entrees. You really can't go wrong with anything; it's all fabulous. I took my family to Limon Authentic Turkish Kebab a week ago and want to make sure to leave a review before I forget. It was amazing. The sauces, the grilled vegetables and meats, everything was wonderful and the four of us had plenty left to take home for snacks later. Our Airbnb host recommended this restaurant and all of the online reviews confirmed her suggestion. As did our meal! Limon has a small cafe vibe, totally low-key. You order at the counter and your food is brought to you at the table of your choice. In spite of this, we arrived early in the evening and received a fair bit of attention right at the table. We started with an order of light and flavorful falafel which arrived with a serving of vinegary salad and a small cup of hummus. For our meals, we each had Kebaps, chicken for me and donner (shaved beef and lamb) for my husband. Perfectly spiced, served with more salad, tzatziki sauce, and a side of rice with a scattering of vegetables. All of these flavors melded together to make a delicious meal. My family and I stopped here while driving from Pittsburgh to NYC. The location couldn't be more convenient for travelers (about .3 miles off of the interstate) they also have off/on street parking. The atmosphere is small, and very well maintained. Dining area, bathroom both very clean. The kitchen is open; and appeared to be clean as well. The restaurant is BYOB, which is always a nice touch. I was blown away at how extensive the menu was, and how kind and informative the waitress was. The owner was also there helping out and was incredible. She even was kind enough to take my sister around the counter and show her how the Turkish coffee was made. Food, out of this world. The best grape leaves I've ever had, hands down. Lots of vegetarian options here as well as options for meat eaters. The portions were huge! I would stop here again in an instant. You should too! read more

For entrees we had the Alexander Kebap (lamb) which came out first and it was delicious. The lamb was sliced thin so you got some crunchy pieces mIxed in with a generous portion of tender meat. We really enjoyed the bulgur pilaf on the side too. We also had the Manti (Turkish dumplings) based on a recommendation from a friend and I would order them a hundred times again. I kinda rolled my eyes, as I was skeptical that the food was amazing. Nope. The strong rating is completed warranted. The place is spectacular. We went inside and it's a somewhat unassuming storefront. I was about to take a bus back to NYC. So, I sadly had little time and not a massive appetite to take advantage of all the wonderful menu items. The wait staff was incredibly friendly. We had Turkish tea and water to drink. The tea was nice, hot, and refreshing. I had the fried calf's liver. This is typically an appetizer, but again, I wasn't terribly hungry. The liver was perfectly seasoned and tender. My mother was with me and detests liver. Her father had tried to get her to eat it for her entire life and failed. She likes the liver at this place! I haven't had Turkish food for some time, so I was excited to try Limon. The food was delicious and did not disappoint! When you first walk in, you can either order from the counter or let them know that you will be eating in and they will get you silverware and menus. Food - Overall very good. We got a mix of appetizers and entrees. Wraps can only be ordered until 3pm or as take out, which is disappointing... it would be nice to be able to have it for dinner if you are able to order it for takeout after 3pm. Combination platter - You get to choose two. I chose the Adana (spicy chopped lamb) and the lamb shish (chunks of lamb). The lamb was delicious. The Adana was not spicy. I liked the lamb shish better for its consistency since they come as chunks. Got it with the bulgar, which is like a flavorful rice. The salad was also good. Doner platter - The gyro meat was good and typical. We got it with the white rice, which is just regular white rice. We were told it was rice with vegetables, but it's just plain rice. Fried liver - this was very good. It came out looking like beef cubes, but the liver was soft and delicious. It did not have too strong of a liver taste. Appetizer combination - this is a mix of all the appetizers. We got the small, which is good for maybe 4-5 people just to get a taste of everything. It was nice that we got to try everything. It was a little much to have all the different kinds of dips, but everything was good. The biber ezme, which is the red one, is a little spicy. They didn't tell us what everything was, so we had to figure it out on our own. Ayran (Turkish yogurt drink) - I wasn't too big of a fan of this. I was expecting it to be a different kind of a yogurt drink. It tasted like I was drinking cottage cheese, but it was worth a try. ------------------------------------------------ Service - This is a very small restaurant, but it is comfortable. All the employees were very friendly and made sure they checked on us and filled our water. However, we were considering getting some dessert off the menu at the end of our meal. Before we were even done eating, they handed us the check... there was still at least an hour until closing and they were not crowded - only one other table was taken. Instead of staying to have dessert, we stayed an extra 10 minutes to finish our meal and went elsewhere. Parking - There is an open lot next to the restaurant. I'm not exactly sure what it's for, but I saw a few people form the laundromat next door park there. The front window of Limon says that there is parking in the rear. It's a very small parking lot that has about 6-8 spots that are very tight... if you back your car up, you'll get very close to the car behind you. I suggest using the street parking in front of the restaurant... there should be a lot of spots along the side. You just can't park from 7-9am on Thursdays. read more

Our favorite Mediterranean restaurant in the Valley. We come here any chance we get! :) Have been coming here for a couple of years now. Restaurant is small (about 8-10 tables). No reservations, so avoid prime time if you don't want to wait. Incredibly friendly and hardworking staff, we always enjoy chatting with them. Food has amazing flavor and is very authentic. Portions are big!!! During lunch they have gyros and wraps which are great! I always get falafel and the chicken kabob. So good! The baklava and Turkish Coffee is also very good. It's BYOB. The food here is so so good, but based on their recent price increases (which I get, inflation), I simply cannot afford their food anymore. The small cold appetizer platter was over $20 the last time I got it. For a few cold dips and some packaged pita bread, it's just incredibly overpriced, and I'm assuming the price increases are across the board. It sucks because they're delicious!! read more
