While visiting Bethlehem Pennsylvania, looking for a mid afternoon bite to eat. Located on East Broad Street, in the heart of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania We found Mediterranean Grill. There's ample parking in front of the building. The restrooms are handicap, accessible The atmosphere is decorated with a beautiful Mediterranean theme, florals , wood themed throughout , greenery, and plants. Great for date night as well. Greeted via a wonderful gentleman Fred , who is also the owner of Mediterranean Grill. He seated us immediately. He took our order we decided to go with a chicken Shawarma wrap And lamb Shawar. Both had a beautiful presentation. We ordered a side dish of grape leaves and a hummus dip. The dip was amazing, smooth and creamy and flavorful, and the grape leaves had just the right touch of flavor, rolled to perfection. The chicken Shawarma was lightly seasoned with a garlic cream sauce. The lamb Shawarma was equally just as good and flavorful. The dessert was a Osmayli - creamy and delicious, not too heavy . The prices are reasonable. Mediterranean Grill is located on W Broad St. in Bethlehem. They are open Tue - Sun 11AM - 9PM. My friend and I stopped in for the first time Friday night. We both agreed that it was the best Mediterranean food we've ever had! I ordered the mixed grill (chicken, beef, and kafta) and she ordered the shish taouk (chicken). We also got an order of arnabeet (cauliflower) to share. Everything had so much flavor! All the meats were tender and seasoned to absolute perfection. I've already reviewed but feel the need to do so again to reiterate - this is one of top restaurants of the Lehigh Valley. For any food, not just Middle Eastern. I would give 10 stars out of 5 if I could. The beef shawarma on saj bread: unreal. Arnabit- spectacular. We have had family over and just ordered half the menu to all share. Not one thing we got wasn't incredibly delicious! I can't recommend this place strongly enough! This is the absolute best Mediterranean around as well as the best I've ever had. The host/waiter/owner(?) was very kind and attentive without over inserting himself into our time together. The food was clean, fresh, and flavorful. My husband and I both ordered salad based appetizers and lamb dishes (gyro platter and kafta), and the meat was perfectly done (juicy and moist, which is often not the case with lamb because people tend to overcook it). When biting into the salad you could taste the exquisite olive oil. It was also not over dressed, but balanced. The exceptional quality of the ingredients made each dish remarkable. There was also gluten free pita available and the waiter informed us that he made both of our dishes fully gluten free to accommodate my allergy--no problems at all. At the end of the night he even brought us a surprise desert (rice pudding with a delightful orange flavored layer on top). We also witnessed that he welcomed a single guest to sit down for dinner with less than 20 minutes till close. This deserves to be noted because many places will turn you away at that time of night. We ourselves were turned away at another Mediterranean restaurant close by earlier that evening. This place did not disappoint and is well worth the money for a nice evening. My only suggestions would be to turn the lights down to a dimmer setting for the evening and play some background music to improve the ambience as it felt welcoming, tasteful, and clean, but a little quiet. So this was a different experience. I placed an online order and was told that it would be ready in 35 minutes. The drive was 30 minutes away, so it worked out perfectly. As I was driving, the update said that my order was ready. It took a few minutes to park and when i left my car. The app updated and told me that my order would be ready for pickup in 45 minutes. went inside, gave them my name and waited, people came and went for pickup orders. I was told repeatedly, that it was coming right up. finally, after two hours from my original order time. I was handed it my order. It was ice cold, when I checked before I left. The order had been sitting for over 1 1/2 hours, and no one noticed it was my order. Even though they asked my name repeatedly for the order It was a disaster on all fronts, the never remade the order and I left with cold food. read more

Really love the simplistic decor walking into the restaurant. I've always loved Mediterranean food having tried many places around Philadelphia. The service was great, they checked on us multiple times. Food wise, I got the beef shawarma plate. The rice and white sauce were very fragrant and yummy. The super friendly and accommodating folks at Mediterranean Grille provided us with some party platters of chicken and steak shish kabobs, rice, and veggies with all the sauces and dips. Meat Bourak (8/10): Crispy on the outside, savory on the inside. Great restaurant to get some wonderful Mediterranean food. The restaurant is clean and modern. There is a calming ambiance once you enter. The staff is most friendly, and very personable. The food not only is presented in the most lovely fashion, but has flavors to match it. Although the menu items can commonly be found at other restaurants, this place has definitely placed their own touches on it. I walked-in and ordered. The hostess was a nice gentleman who took my order immediately. I ordered the hummus and the Mediterranean gyro. The hummus was amazing and came with pitas. Wish there were a couple more pitas as the hummus was fairly large, but I would just order extra pita next time. The Mediterranean gyro was very good. It had a thinner style pita than what most other Mediterranean or gyro locations typically have, but was just as good. The gyros were wrapped closed at the bottom and around, but open at the top which was a very nice difference than others as they can spill out the back. The table setting and interior of the restaurant was simple, but classy. My food was ready for pickup in about 10 minutes, as I stopped in just before the evening dinner rush. Definitely recommend the Mediterranean Grill and I will certainly be going back. read more

Wish I could show you pics but dug right into the delicious appetizers. We shared the spinach pie with was filled with spinach and instead of a crunchy outside had a soft texture. We enjoyed the cauliflower felafel which was served with a light yogurt sauce. I definitely recommend the lentil soup which was nicely seasoned and puréed. The restaurant is clean and bright and the service first rate. Bring a bottle of your favorite wine and don't forget to enjoy the baklava! Excellent! read more

Stopped in on a whim while walking downtown with my mother. We ordered the falafel, babba ghanuj and sujuk, as we only wanted a light lunch. We had never had sujuk before, and were surprised both by its firm texture and by how richly flavored it was. The babba ghanuj was likewise delicious, more on the lemony side than the smokey side, and went very well with the sujuk. The falafel was the real star-- my mom and I have challenged ourselves to find the best falafel in the Lehigh Valley, and we think this one is a strong contender for the number one spot (though of course I'll need to come back and check for sure). It was delightfully airy, not too fried tasting but not at all dry either, and contained fava beans as well as chickpeas, which is apparently common in Lebanon but which I've never had before. It wasn't as heavily spiced as other falafel I've had, but that just allowed the delicious flavors of the beans to shine through. Also, not for nothing, but the tahini sauce they served on the side was to die for, and paired perfectly with the falafel and the included vegetables. Our waitress, Genesis, was very friendly and eager to answer questions, and our food was served to us hot and fresh. It was definitely the highlight of my day, and I'm excited to return some time, probably with an emptier stomach. read more

This was my first time here, but it will certainly not be my last. I visited in between lunch and dinner so I had the place to myself... very modern and very clean! My server was very friendly and helpful and offered to answer any questions I might have. Looking through the menu I decided on the Arnabeet on homemade Saj and it was spectacular... lightly fried cauliflower with lettuce, parsley, tomatoes, pickles, topped with tahini sauce... and the side salad was crispy and very fresh topped simply with some fresh herbs. My sister & I went out to dinner at a FABULOUS new mediterranean focused restaurant in Bethlehem, PA called "Mediterranean Grill". The food was absolutely delicious and very creatively seasoned and presented. (Wish I had taken more food pictures.) The hummus starter was amazing, creamy, very flavorful and beautifully plated! I had a whole mediterranean seabass with rice & lentils, along with veggies and tahini sauce. My sister had beef kabobs with rice, kabab veggies and tzatziki sauce. We also had a side of mixed vegetables that were nicely grilled and seasoned. There were so many other varied options are on their menu. Lastly, we had a taste of baklava to end the meal. This restaurant was recently opened by a super friendly family; Michael chef/owner & his mother, Randa who serves and runs the dining room. Michael (and family) makes everything from scratch from their own family recipes. They treat you like you are a guest in their home, while the dining room is very fresh and modern. WOW!! This is the best Mediterranean food I have ever had! The service was amazing, very attentive and informative. We started with the hummus which is out of this world, truly. They put the chickpea through a natural process to make it creamier than any hummus you'll ever have! I'm only sad that I'll never be able to eat hummus from the store again. The falafel is the best recipe I've tasted yet as well, very crispy on the outside with a silky smooth inside. Now the Falafel saj.. I didn't think a wrap could be so different from any other, but the presentation and taste has convinced me it can! Even the grilled vegetables surprised me, I'm vegetarian and have had vegetables many times over but I noticed the way they cook them keeps it nice and light.
