He adds cheese, waits for it to melt and then puts it upside down on the bun so the roll stays nice. He even keeps his sodas extra cold in a really clean refrigerator. I walked in happy and smiling, but the initial interaction with the employee taking my order felt a little unfriendly and unwelcoming. I clearly asked for half of a sub but was given a full sub instead. That honestly wasn't a huge issue for me, but combined with the interaction, it did affect my overall experience. I completely understand that working in customer service can be difficult and that everyone has an off day. At the same time, I think a friendly and welcoming attitude can make such a difference, especially for someone who is visiting the area and trying a restaurant for the first time. First impressions really do matter, and unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed after being so excited to come in. I do want to mention that the young lady who checked me out was wonderful. She was very polite, friendly, and provided great customer service. As far as the food goes, the sub, pasta salad, and potato salad were absolutely immaculate! Everything tasted great, and I really enjoyed the food. I just wish the customer service at the beginning of my visit had matched the quality of the food. A little more warmth and attentiveness would have made this a completely different experience.
