The place was hopping and the service was very friendly but uneven. We had to frequently flag someone down. It almost had a cafeteria vibe. Overall the food was good although almost too much. Overall decent place. We came because the reviews on google are high. Yes the portions are hearty. The food tasted fresh and cooked well. Service was ok. They appear to be pretty busy and staff seemed overwhelmed. The Sangria was "watery" tons of ice. The wine was fine, I'm being picky by saying I prefer a glass with a stem ( for me it keeps the wine cool). The lamb was cooked well, however not so flavorful... said it was cooked with garlic...I just didn't taste it. The chicken and rice had a nice mild taste. The nuts on the rice is what made the dish. Lastly, I write this as we wait for our bill to be taken. I had to walk over to get the young lady's attention for the bill and now we have been waiting for a good fifteen minutes for her to return. Forgot to mention I had to ask for plates so I can take the leftovers. In addition she never brought over a bag... had to get one from the counter. When we got up to leave, she never bothered to thank us or say goodbye. Wanted to add one last point that my husband made... there was a woman that appeared to be the owner just came across a bit standoffish. Ordered takeout from here. Service was really great - Everything was ready when I picked it up. The woman at the cash register was dealing with a difficult customer, and I watched her handle it with absolute grace and kindness. There is a small parking lot in the front. Cute bar and tables to sit at inside. I ordered a zaatar bread and chicken shawarma salad. The zaatar was the biggest I have ever seen in my life!!! I could not stop eating it.. Saving the salad for later tonight. Very large portions for the price. I will probably be back here this week. read more

I made the same mistake here as I did another time I went to a Mediterranean restaurant, which was ordering appetizers. Their portions are HUGE. I started to get full off appetizers before my main entree, of which I only managed to clear about 5%, came. Glad my friend and I came right before the dinner rush and managed to get seated without a wait. We split a serving of dolmas (grape leaves) and a mini pie sampler appetizer, and then we each ordered a main plate. I thought it was kind of odd when the woman at the table behind my friend was eating straight chicken off what looked like a serving plate. Then it made sense when ours came. Each plate was enough for at least 3-4 meals. Food was yummy, though felt sliiightly understaffed simply given how busy they were. Wish they would have warned us beforehand about the serving sizes but I can't complain about having more left over, though tbf if we'd known, we would have probably gotten our appetizers and just split one main dish. read more

First of all, wow. This family run Lebanese restaurant just blew it out of the park. I admit I was a little sceptical at the money for value-ness of it when I saw that a plate of lamb shawarma costs $22 - a far cry from the $12 that I saw on google but it delivered in a plate twice as big as my plate. I eat a lot and could make 2 meals of out it but can see it serving as 3 meals for a person with a more normal appetite. The bread that the served was fluffy and the almonds on the rice was a really nice touch that added to the complexity of the textures. The best part is that they didn't skimp on the meat. Did I mention how great the fries are? Would definitely come here just for the fries. Tommy only complaint- it was a little dry and they didn't give enough sauce for that whopping plate. My friend brought me here for the first time. I am sort of new to the area and there are a lot of places I still need to try. I am from Southeast Michigan and we have a lot of Lebanese restaurants where I am from. So I am kinda picky when it comes to Mediterranean/Lebanese food. This is the first place that I found here that has amazing garlic sauce. We got a beef platter and a fattoush salad. It was soooooooo good!! The fattoush salad is one of the best I ever had. GF and I enjoyed lunch at Daddy's on a mid-August weekday. It offers ginormous portions of delicious Mediterranean fare at very fair prices. Service was attentive and prompt. The dining room was light, casual, and comfortable. The free parking lot in front of the shop was handy, too. We ordered apps (marinated chickpeas, grape leaves) and entrees (lamb shawarma sando and salad) -- all fresh, flavor-packed delicious, and far too much to consume in one meal (but the leftovers made for a tasty no-cook dinner later in the day). But that's not all, as diners are also presented at the start of the meal with a plate-sized loaf of freshly-baked pita bread and accompanying dipping sauce (but Daddy: how about you ditch those wasteful single-use plastic serving cups?) Early Sunday dinner consisted of pita bread with olive oil & sesame seed for dipping, fava bean appetizer, chicken kebab with grilled onions and my favorite rice. And namura for dessert. Rice was cooked with vermicelli & slivered almonds and was absolutely amazing. Babaghanoush was delicious when we were here almost three years ago. Tabbouleh was made with parsley and tomato. Being an occasional visitor to the Easton area, I've been hearing great things about this place and I was really looking forward to trying it out. It looks very industrial-chic from the outside. You immediately feel welcome upon entering. It's run almost exclusively by family and they take the family business seriously. From the pretty extensive menu we opted for Fried Smelts and Hummus with Filet tips. Both were excellent, the smelt's reminded me of growing up in a food centric Italian family where they were a mainstay. Entrees and salads were huge. Fresh, appealing dishes. Lamb and beef shwarmas came with fries and rice that I can only describe a crack, couldn't get enough of it. Salads were huge, tons of feta, grilled shrimp and falafels. There's a large selection of beers to accommodate any taste. Judging by the amount of people both in the restaurant and picking up orders while we were there, everyone knows what's up at Big Daddys! What a hidden gem! We were looking to get a delicious dinner somewhere so we drove around and ended up here. The exterior doesn't do it justice because it's comfortable inside. We were seated right away and waited on. We grabbed beers from the fridge, and began our orders. HUGE PORTIONS. Lentil soup was more like lentil swim cause it was at least 3 servings. While your food is being prepped a large airy pita is served as well as a salad. Chicken kabobs were cooked well. Some pieces were cooked well and others slightly overcooked (likely due to the varying thicknesses) Would NOT recommend the fried mac n cheese as there were only 5 pieces and cost an extra $3 for nothing special. Overall, food is solid not mind-blowing. It isn't the cheapest of places but the large portions compensate for that. We stopped in here on our way (DC Metro area) on Father's Day and really wish there is one close to our house. The food was phenomenal!! When you walk in the place is clean and modern with a wall of coolers full of craft beer. The staff was friendly and we were greeted and seated right away. We started with the Daddy's hummus which was delicious and nothing like anything we have ever had. We got the mixed grill for our meal and the kafta (ground meat) was so good we ordered more!! The garlic cream sauce that came with the meat was soooooo yummy. We really loved our food. The bread was also like a pillow and delicious! Everything was good but I wanted to note our favorites. I mean even the fries were phenomenal. If you can I highly recommend stopping by and enjoying a delicious meal. Here again! Today we tried something a little different for dessert. We got the farina pudding(?). A light brownish dessert with a white cheese on top. I am soopo glad we got this! The farina base is thick, thicker than cream of wheat, and very sweet. Now comes the part that really is wonderful. Rose water is infused in this dessert, the mild cheese is topped with pistachio and almond slivers. All five flavors come together at once and it is truly a beautiful and unique taste. If you don't like roses- this dish is not for you. But if you like the smell of roses- this dish is perfect for you. There are some Indian sweets that are very similar but Daddy's definitely used a good quantity of rose water. I brought most of the dish home and spent a few days eating it. A little goes a long way - lots of flavor. My fellow doner had the chicken livers, which he really enjoys. We both stuffed the huge orb of bread with our entree and side dishes and made our own sandwich. Works for us. The bread absorbs all the gravy and tabouli dressing, so good to eat all the flavors in one bite. Daddy's tabouli is mostly parsley and tomatoes - not all wheat like other places make - so you won't feel guilty eating it. Another great night! The food here is amazing. Prepare in advance to eat yourself into oblivion, since the portion sizes are massive... in a good way! We had the Mezza Platter as an appetizer, and the mixed shawarma plate, which for two people it was sufficient. The rice with almonds is TO DIE FOR. I want to go back and order a box of that just to keep at home. It is so buttery and nutty with tiny vermicelli(?) mixed in... absolutely delicious. This is another overdue review of a great Easton Pa dining option. We are a family that has a true love of all Middle Eastern cuisines. Daddy's Place delivers that authentic experience of the region highlighting traditional Lebanese recipes in a no fuss environment. I've never dined in, but the restaurant is sleek and modern, but you can tell the owners put much care in how they wanted the space to recreate that classic Levantine vibe. They also have an enormous craft beer cooler where you can choose from a wide variety of brews to pair with your meals. As for the food, there literally isn't anything you can order and not love! The pricing is very fair, hasn't really been increased by that much over the years. The spread I got encompassed the whole menu, and the portions are always extremely generous! The major standout is the rice, omg!! It's like a flavor packed cloud with every bite! They mix in vermicelli and almond slivers if nuts are your jam! I try not to but fill up on rice, but it's nearly impossible not to every time I order from them, lol. All their veggies are super fresh, like they have a farm out back, simple divine! Their meats are all seasoned with love, and you can obviously see how much attention they put into the finished product. Sidenote, get the lentil stew, and it will change your life, hahaha!! The lady with the blonde hair and black glasses was incredibly rude pretty uncomfortable situation Not to mention, the food is not as good as it used to be at least not the dish I had. I had a lamb kebab with rice, and the lamb was very tough. At the end of the day customers should not have to feel uncomfortable and there's no reason why you should be so rude. read more

Arrived on a Thursday evening at 5:30 and Daddy's was half full. By 6 pm all the tables were occupied. I ordered the mezza plate. It was great! Before the main course the server brought a pita the size of a dinner plate that was thin and delicate with a side of olive oil. I ate most of it with the mezza. I really enjoyed the baba ghannouj (roasted and blended eggplant). Typically I pass on the labne (yogurt with garlic) but this was thick and creamy. Very nice! Hummus was also good. Stuffed grape leaves were good. Instead of minced beef, I substituted falafel. These were substantial, but needed the other sides to remedy dryness. I usually skip tabouli (salad with parsley and tomato). But I liked this one. It was huge, though! I had generous amounts to take with me. My dinner companion had the mixed shawarma (beef, lamb, and chicken roasted and thinly sliced). It was enormous! It came with fries and rice with vermicelli and almonds. She said she would get two more meals from the portion she was taking home. The restaurant is L shaped. The long wall has a cooler with lots of beer choices, some hard seltzers, etc. I had cider. There is also a full bar. The atmosphere is a relaxed dining room, not a stuffy high end place. With a full dining room the staff had to hustle and they did! read more
