    Lebanese bread

I had the Mezze platter and it was delicious. Such smooth creamy hummus, and a yummy baba ghanoush enjoyed with pita and Lebanese layered bread. The kibbeh was tasty and so were the large falafels and both moist inside. The stuffed grape leaves were flavorful and moist. The service was excellent- friendly, informative and quick service. Even their home brewed iced tea was delicious. Come to Fattoush!

Service was great. Glad they had high chairs. No kids menus. We ordered the sampler, beef sharwma and the Zaatar chicken. Everything was fresh and yummy. Affordable too. Overall a nice spot for lunch or dinner.

Another great meal at Fattoush last night. We both enjoyed a nice greek salad and put some falafel on top! Just hit the spot and was exactly what we needed. Amazing crisp and crunchy falafel with a greek greek salad. Service was very good and the food is delicious and very authentic.

The food was great. The Lamb Gyro was the best I have ever eaten. The lamb was Real sliced lamb not lamb "mystery meat". I really enjoyed the food. The staff were nice and prepared my food exactly as ordered. All good!

Fattoush is one of those little gems that seems to operate under the radar. Hidden away in a nondescript strip mall, this restaurant doesn't look like anything special from the outside; and the interior, awash with unadorned tables and minimalist décor, isn't much of a turn on either. However, looks can be deceiving. The strictly utilitarian surroundings belie the fresh, vibrant, made-from-scratch Mediterranean (Lebanese) cuisine that continues to surprise and delight. Add downright moderate prices and the fact that you may BYOB... and you have a recipe for a marvelously enjoyable evening at table. There are a number of excellent appetizers from which to choose, including several absolutely first-rate salads. For my money, however, there's really only one way to start things off; and that's with the incomparable Lebanese Mezza (pictured), a shared platter comprised of many of the traditional usual suspects: Hummus and Baba Ghanouj (popular apps made with ground chickpeas & smoked eggplant, respectively); Falafel (deep-fried spiced balls of ground chickpeas & fava beans) topped with tahini sauce; Kibbe (Lebanese meatballs stuffed with spiced beef, onions, and nuts); Stuffed Grape Leaves; and, of course, plenteous portions of Pita Bread for dipping, etc. The grape leaves may strike many as old hat. May be... but they are still quite delicious and incredibly superior to representatives I have sampled elsewhere. Both the Hummus and Baba Ghanouj exhibit an incredible depth of flavor (my dining partner prefers the former; I, the latter), and the Falafel and Kibbe are irresistibly seasoned. Among the house special entrées, of particular note are the Shawarma. This refers to a method of meat preparation where cuts of spiced & marinated lamb, chicken, turkey, beef, veal, or mixed meats are stacked in a cone-like shape on a vertical rotisserie. As it rotates and the outside cooks continuously, thin slices are shaved off. Shawarma is one of the world's most popular street foods, especially in countries of the eastern Mediterranean, western Asia, and northeast Africa. Shawarma, either beef or chicken, is served as a wrap or on a platter with various accompaniments, which include rice and Tabbouleh salad. For example, I recently enjoyed the Chicken Shawarma (pictured), which was garnished with lettuce, pickles, a first-rate garlic sauce, and wrapped in very thin Lebanese pita bread. Excellent... The big surprise, however, was the side dish. Much against my better judgment, I ordered the fries; and they were, if you'll pardon my French, without doubt, the best fries it has ever been my pleasure to ingest. Encrusted with a delicate complexion of seasonings, they were incredibly crisp and their flavor simply off the charts. Kudos to the kitchen. Not to be missed. The platters, noted above, also deserve mention. The Beef Shawarma Platter is served over rice with Fattoush salad and tahini sauce; the Chicken Shawarma Platter is served with rice, tabbouleh salad, and homemade garlic sauce. Both versions beguile the palate with winning combinations of tastes and textures. But even more interesting, in my opinion, is the Samke Harra (pictured). Pan-fried flounder is served on a pillow of rice and perfectly seasoned slices of sautéed zucchini, topped with diced tri-colored peppers, nuts & onion, and finished with a sensual tahini sauce. Portion sizes here are quite generous. So generous, in fact, that our server noted that those diners who, like us, order the Lebanese Mezza to start, often elect to share one entrée rather than order two... Certainly something to keep in mind. But be sure to leave room for the homemade desserts, as the Baklava and fabulously decadent Bread Pudding (pictured) are both outstanding. Highly recommended on all counts... Just don't forget to BYOB.

This place is amazing!!! The food is great. We love their fries which are battered . The owner, manager or chef (not sure) often comes out to visit, asks how the food was and if we needed anything. It's really nice to see an owner who cares about the quality of the food and service. This makes fattoush an A+ establishment in my opinion. We gladly return time after time.

Food came out quickly and was very fresh. Probably the best chicken shawarma I've ever had in my life!

    Ask the Community - Fattoush

    Is the meat halal? thanks

Yes, the meat is halal. We asked the owner. Some restaurants do not advertise if they are halal because it's off putting to some people. Sad reality of the climate we live in. That's why you should always call to ask and not assume.

Waiter was friendly, helpful and it did not take long to get our food. I have a lethal Peanut and tree-nut allergy and had no issues eating here or communicating with the staff. At the time I came the only thing that has nuts is the deserts, so I was able to pick from the whole menu when it came to food and not worry about entree cross contamination which was a delightful surprise. This includes their vegetarian options which were also nut free. I am excited to go back and try more of their menu.

I'm providing this honest review as a constructive feedback for improvement…read more We came across this place online but were only able to try it recently...I was honestly disappointed by many things: First, when a place advertises shawarma meat and posts videos of the famous Lebanese shawarma revolving cone that grills the marinated meat as the cone turns, you would expect that the shawarma plate you order is an authentic shawarma meat cut off the shawarma cone...unfortunately, this was not the case at cafe baladi. I respect the owner who's advertising authentic homemade Lebanese food but the shawarma meat we got was not an authentic shawarma meat...this was meat that was cooked either in a pan or in the oven and was not tender because it was not probably marinated and it's not grilled on the shawarma cone. Placed that have the famous shawarma cone you can usually see in the restaurant either behind the counter or through a window in the back - this was not the case. Second the plate included the choice of hummus or baba ghannouj and tabbouleh...we picked baba ghannouj and we got the tabbouleh...again, the baba ghannouj did not taste at all authentic nor homemade...it tasted like the baba ghannouj in a conserved can that you find in grocery stores. Authentic baba ghannouj is made from grilled eggplant tahini lemon juice and salt. Third, the Lebanese tabboule is made from finely chopped vegetables (parsley, tomatoes, onions, lemon juice, and burgul). Unfortunately again this tabbouleh was not finely chopped and it lacked the burgul. We were really disappointed. The only positive thing was that the service was quick.

I discovered this place from Yelp and am so glad that I did. I really like their shawarma platters. All of the meats (chicken, beef, lamb) are good. I am usually not a fan of lamb because of the games taste but it is not noticeable here. I like the hummus as a side and it comes with a delicious piece of bread, that smells amazing if you pop it in the oven for a few minutes. They also have an option to sub the rice for veggies in the platters. I enjoy dining in because the service and ambiance are nice. It is also convenient for take out. My only gripe is that they use styrofoam takeout containers so the hot food does burn into the containers, which releases toxic chemicals. Definitely worth a stop for food! I ordered a Lamb Gyro w. a Greek Salad. The Gyro was everything I was looking for it to be, but honestly the show stopper was the Greek Salad. I KNOW, the salad! Cold, crunchy, well proportioned between veggies, feta, dressing, olives. Just magnificent. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Chicken Shawarma platter as well. The chicken had a deliciously charred flavor but was still juicy and tender. My husband is a hummus snob, so he ordered it as his side to give it a try and it got the 'thumbs up'. We will definitely be making another stop here in the future!

The ground lamb didn't overpower the already expertly executed hummus and added fantastic depth and richness. We also sprung for the grilled calamari tubes and the chef did a great job of not overcooking while achieving an excellent char. We shared the baked cod and the spice was delicate and perfect. Using cured lemon was a very clever idea as the sauce was not too strong but still had depth; the saffron and turmeric were well balanced. The fish itself was NOT overcooked and flaked perfectly. The vegetables were also executed well and cooked so they could be eaten with the same bite. The star of the show was still the cook on the fish with the wonderful sauce.
