Nine years since I've last been here. The guy who rang me up was great...very personable and a nice conversationalist. Got there right before the evening dinner rush. They were replacing some of the items on the steam table. I got my favorite yellow rice with pigeon peas and roasted pork. I asked if they have the crunchy pork skin. She said everyone asks for that but they don't have it. I think if everyone asks, maybe they should offer it. I also asked for "a few" plantains for my platter and she gave me ONE. WOW!!! As a Puerto Rican I can tell you this place is the real deal. Not as good as on the island, but damn close. Pernil was moist, tender & flavorful. The Alcapurias are the bomb. The most meat filled I've ever had. Service was fast & friendly. Also had the mofongo, as well as, yucca with mojo. Everything was great & plenty left over to take home. Prices were very reasonable and the decor is clean and simple. One recommendation is you gotta check your bathroom. People can be pigs and it's not your fault, but you can't ignore it either. The pernil was so good... fork tender good flavor and not much fat at all... exactly what I was hoping for! The rice was really good too that came with it. Adobo Latin kitchen literally never disappoints. There's not a single thing on the menu that isn't fresh and delicious. My go-to every time is the Cubano sandwich with some potato salad on the side. One of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten in my life. Service is always quick and easy, and whether you wanna eat in or dine out you won't have to wait long. Don't go here for your lunch break, they take 15+ minutes to cook all the ingredients of your dish. Not that it's a bad thing. They also give large portions of everything except the drinks. They make awesome tasting food and it even looks good. The employees there speak English well. The restaurant has slightly loud music playing, so it might be a bit hard to hear the employees. But other than that, this is an awesome place and it may look like they make some bad food, don't judge a book by its cover. read more

Delicious Puerto Rican food and friendly service. Reyna attended us, and was so kind. Food - we ordered a beef empanada, tostones, pernil plate (comes with rice, beans, and sweet plantain), and the shrimp mofongo. Reyna let us know that it could take 20 minutes for the mofongo, and it was absolutely worth the wait. The pernil was moist and flavorful. Rice was delicious too. Everything was so good! We ordered at the counter and sat down to eat. They have a medium sized dining area. If you are going with a group of more than 6 people, it may be a little crowded or you'd have to have separate tables to eat. Came here a few days ago with my hungry, grumpy husband and kids and boy did this place deliver. My kids gobbled up the chuleta, rice and beans and left no crumbs. The hubs loved his cuban sandwich. And I was on the side, enjoying my chicken soup + alcapurria (so good, i ordered one for the road), and tres leches. Staff was great and patient with my two littles (toddler mom). It's been a while since I've reviewed a place and seeing as adobo generates at least one order a month from us they are due for a review. I don't know if Latin comfort food is the correct word for it, but I sure feel comforted and outrageously full after visiting adobo every time. The go to orders for me are a cuban and chicharonnes. A sandwich alone will fill up most, but combined its like you summoned Captain Planet and solved world hunger for one large man. Every now and then I'll mix it up and grab empanadas or fried chicken. Whatever I seem to get turns out fantastic. Now are there issues with consistency as mentioned in other comments. Does this deduct a star? Possibly. But they are far more consistent in the overall and deserve a 5 star rating from me. If you look only for flaws then you will find what you are looking for. If you want some of the best Latin food the valley has to offer then maybe I'll run into you at Adobo! read more

My husband and I recently hosted a party for about 60ppl and we catered Adobo. They delivered everything promptly and it was hot and fresh. I must say that when I discovered this place, I was happy to find this location. The staff is always friendly and willing to help. The food is well seasoned and always outstanding; authentic taste! Their beans are well season and rice perfectly made. I've had their chicharrones as well. I decided to use them for catering for our Christmas Eve event; Nochebuena. I, along with everyone else in attendance, was not disappointed and very impressed with the empanadas / pastellitos and the pasteles. The pasteles were made to perfection with no ingredient skipped. I had family members leave with pasteles as they loved them that much. I will definitely be purchasing plates and using them for catering again. The only pitfall is that they don't use delivery services like DoorDash or GrubHub, they would definitely get more orders from me when I'm too ill to drive over or bad weather. I have given a review back when the restaurant was open before Covid. I have ordered food from Adobo three times recently. I have to say that the food is always great but I will like to also say how impressed I have been by the way they are handling the business during these very difficult times. They have curb side pick up and they come out with a tray with your food on it. They wear gloves and mask. I feel assure that they are doing everything to keep us safe and healthy. Let me first say The empanadas from day one and still are excellent. I also fell in love with their Cuban Sandwich, however the last few times, the contents of the sandwich has gotten very "Skimpy" ! The other day, the last 2 inches of sandwich had only melted cheese and a pickle. So is this just certain employees that do not know how to make it properly or is management instructing to cheapen up the sandwich. I hope they correct the situation! Oh Well 12/20202...just lost another star. My wife went to pick up an order with her great nephew baby in car. We were paying cash and she called to see if they could bring order curbside (Like they did all Covid Summer) The Lazy girl that answered the phone said we don't do that anymore, limited staff. She was going to tip $5 too. So she gets the child out of car seat and goes in and sees 3 employees standing around doing nothing and says "I don't know why you couldn't bring curbside" So 2 out of 3 look confused that they would have brought out" So the third girl was the Lazy one. Owner...how do you you feel when your employees are ruining your hard work and reputation. Stop being their friends and fire them. What is she making $8 and hour..she could have made over 1/2 her hourly salary in 1 minute. You do not need stupid people on your staff like this. read more
