Amazing authentic food with a lot of options. Tried the pupusas and they were amazing. Tried the steak w/ shrimp and it was very good. Definitely recommend to atleast try this place even if you are not familiar with this type of cuisine!

Seriously AMAZING food! I got the Traditional 2 and it was so good! You get a lot of food for a pretty reasonable price. I could have easily shared and still been full. Highly recommend!!!

This is our 3rd time here. I'm surprised I haven't reviewed it before. We drive from Harrisburg to eat here and get some pupusas to go. The food is absolutely amazing. The pupusas remind me of Los Angeles. The Carne Asada burrito was covered in cheese. My son got the Carne Asada torta and it was also good.

I recently had the opportunity to order and pick up alot of food from this restaurant, a little of…read moreeverything, close to $100 worth. Unfortunately this place left me feeling more than a little disappointed, particularly regarding their approach to serving curtido and salsa. Upon picking up I was surprised to find that the portions of curtido and salsa were extremely minimal. I thought perhaps this was just an oversight, as I ordered almost 10 pupusas, but when I asked for more, I was taken aback to learn that the restaurant wanted to charge me $8 for extra small bags of each. This felt quite unreasonable, especially considering that these toppings are typically a staple in many Latin cuisines and usually come as part of the meal. The curtido, a delicious pickled cabbage slaw, was practically going to get sprinkled on each pupusa with the little bag they gave me. And the salsa was barely enough to add any flavor to the pupusas; put two fingers together and that is quantity of salsa we were getting TOTAL. While I understand that restaurants need to manage costs, being stingy with such basic and beloved condiments felt off-putting. The experience left a sour taste, overshadowing what could have been an enjoyable meal. I hope the restaurant reconsiders its approach, as it detracts from the overall food experience and may drive customers away.

Not sure what I wanted to eat, but knew I wanted to try something new, I consulted Yelp and somehow…read moresaw the first review for this very good Salvadoran spot, not far from the burbs. Although not very well versed in this specific cuisine, I have fond memories of a Pupuseria in SJ., from another chapter of my life. I called in a takeout with just a little bit of a language barrier, eventually someone came on the line who could help. I ordered 3 different pups and an order of chicken tacos( kind of what I had in mind when I started looking at Yelp) There was very good street parking right in front of the long blue building. On the second try I found the correct door to enter( hint: it's the middle one) The interior was nicer than I anticipated, some granite and mosaic tile accents, and a clean and sleek dining room( yeah, there's a large screen in it too). My order was being bagged up with care as I was still trying to look around. But I can say that this would be a good choice to eat in. I rushed home while being bombarded with smells which were urging me to pullover and have a look/ taste. I did not relent. Once I got everything unpacked I did take 2 phots which did not quite capture the awesomeness that this meal was. Let's start with the tacos: the 3 were rolled up tightly in foil, they were literally steaming hot when unrolled. The meat was spilling from them they were so stuffed. I can't recall getting a larger portion anywhere. The bird had definitely been marinated and then charred on the flattop grill. Tender and juicy, but still seared here and there. The topping was just a little onion and cilantro, but included in the box was Pico, a tomatillo sauce and pickled veggies. All of these were utilized, the Pico was incredible, the tiniest diced tomatoes onions and peppers I've ever seen, the tomatillo was very good too, and a thick version. The pickled veggies took them to the apex of what great tacos can be. The Pupusas were also very good, they have quite a selection and this time I had the plain cheese, zucchini and bacon and cheese. All very good, the squash was my favorite though. Were these better than my SJ memories? Yes. Mainly because of the Curtido( the pickled slaw that comes with them) their version was a finer shred, and had more than just cabbage though I couldn't narrow down exactly what. The vinegar component was perfect, as were the herbs and slivered jalapeño. The red sauce for this dish was very good too. As I write this I'm tempted to return today, either for steak tacos or chicken guisado, or both! But prior plans will not allow. It's pretty safe to say I'm smitten.

But, when…read moreyou receive your delivery order over an hour late, food starts to get soggy in the styrofoam containers that the restaurant packs them into. I ordered two entrees. The first selection from the menu, Tacos del Pastor, al pastor tacos, topped with cilantro onions, a side of hot sauce, a lime, and cucumber for each. The tacos shells were homemade, and the al pastor had plenty of flavor. Three tacos come to an order, with two shells supporting each taco, and they're reasonably priced. The second entree, Fajitas Mix, is served with flour or corn tortillas on the side, with a mixture of chicken, beef and shrimp over a generous portion of rice, with a small portion of bean and a soggy mixture of lettuce, a sad attempt at coleslaw instead of what's listed on the menu as pico de gallo. The fajitas are cooked the traditional way, with peppers and onions. The ingredients are quality, with authentic Mexican flavors. A side of hot sauce, which you need to specify the heat, as is the case for tacos, is included. The entree is very reasonably priced. If I was ensured an on-time delivery, and the restaurant made an attempt to offset my inexcusably late first delivery, I'd likely order again. The corn tortillas were said to be gluten-free, from a call I made, prior to ordering, which offers an added bonus to include customers with allergies or insensitivity to gluten.
