Had a great meal on Sunday evening. We hadn't been there in a while, but so glad we stopped there. Everything was fantastic. Service was very attentive as well!

    Entrance art that I like

Delicious and plenty of gluten free safe options! We were passing thru Dallas, PA and decided to get dinner. I'm celiac and need gluten free, and Istanbul Grill sounded like it might work. Everyone in our group loved the food, the service, the decor! Hussain our super friendly (affable) server was educated in safe for celiacs gluten free options. Everything was a win, win. This has become one of my favorite restaurants. A little tucked out of the way but well worth the drive, you will not regret it!

In short: Tasty, but extremely small portions. Got the chicken shish kebab and also a garden salad with feta. Feta was an extra $4. Fresh but more of a large side-salad than a full salad. The chicken kebab lunch is listed in the menu as "kebabs" with rice, but there were only 4 pieces of chicken and about a 1/3 cup of rice. :( split with my boyfriend and we were like, "Well--that was a tasty snack." I felt obliged to let him eat 3 of the pieces so at least one of us had a semblance of a full meal. Not generous portions by any stretch for $30. Friendly staff and lovely decor. Definitely would not return though. I'm actually now irritated because the people next to us just got enormous portions. Wtf?

I ordered the chicken kabab and my husband had the lamb shank. For dessert, we ordered the oven baked rice pudding. It is served cold, however. This is a must visit when you're in town! They also sell other Turkish products like coffee, teas, doganay (spicy, fermented carrot juice), assortment of juices and Turkish delight. Thank you so much for sharing your wondering food with us.

First time stopping by this restaurant (located on the back street of where google map directs)…read more The food was delicious! Sophia is in her 70s and is the owner, chef, waitress all-in-one. After making my takeout order she talked with me for 20 minutes about her family, business (has operated this restaurant for 53 years!), and travels. On top of that, she made everything with one hand while wearing a cast from surgery from last week. Such a neat character, restaurant, and amazing food.

I would come back multiple times as far as the ambience goes. The food also felt very healthy. It wasn't heavy at all. It was a little bit on the pricey red but still, it just felt so homey so organic and overall the ambience made the whole experience.

Food that's absolutely a must order include the hummus platter, with extraordinary fresh bread. and the baklava. Both are epic! I had the lunch special, which was lamb kebabs with white rice. Lamb was ok but not remarkably spiced nor that tender. But it was good. The rice was a bit mushy and there was little to no dressing on the salad nor the red cabbage on the dish. Would have loved to have had something more like rice pilaf. Requested some white yogurt dressing on the side and this brought it together. I don't think one can judge a place based on the lunch special so I will definitely be returning to try more of their entrées that they're known for. The place was packed so clearly locals know this is a good place to go!
