The lamb kabobs then showed up and completely stole the spotlight: tender, perfectly seasoned, and basically melting on contact. And yes, the white sauce comes on the side, which is ideal because it's so good you'll want to dip everything into it--kabobs, bread, possibly your dignity. The mango drink? Absolutely unhinged in the best way. One sip and I forgot what I ordered, where I parked, and what my personality was before this moment. "To die for" feels accurate, but also misleading because you'll want to stay alive long enough to order a second one. And then there's the service. I didn't feel like a customer--I felt like I'd been adopted. We were treated like family, friends, and students all at once, getting an enthusiastic, genuinely fascinating education about the food while being cared for like honored guests. I tell him he forgot the items and he then goes BACK on the phone for another couple minutes before trying to put the items in, which at this point I was too frustrated and didn't want to make a scene so I just left.
