Nothing more than average Turkish food. My party started off with hummus, shepherd's salad, sigara boregi, and grape leaves. The hummus is a 2/5. I don't even have the words to describe it but it just wasn't good. The rest of the appetizers were just average and nothing mind blowing. I had ordered the chicken shish kabob and was extremely disappointed. The first few pieces were tasty, yet, I had at least four-five pieces that were undercooked and chewy. I even took a to-go box just so I could go home and cook it more myself. Not only had I ordered it, but someone else in my party as well. She had the same complaint. The reason why I am giving this restaurant a 3/5 instead of a 2/5 is because of their gyro cheese pie. I found that to be excellent along with their Baklava. Unfortunately, our service was extremely poor. There was only one lady working and she did not check in often. On two different occasions, we had to get up from our table to find our waitress to ask for what we wanted. I also found her to be reaching over people to place food on the table when she could have just walked a few more steps out of the way of others. We love this place and the family there. The food is always good! Their mixed grill entree is our go to. You get a chicken kabob, lamb kabob and a ground lamb kabob with rice and salad. They also have great hummus and babbagonosh! Their red cabbage salad and bean salad are also tasty. You won't be disappointed with anything thing. They also have lunch specials. Their gyros are great! Service could be a bit better. There is usually just one server but she is so kind! Thank goodness for Yelp. We were passing through town on a time deadline, we were hungry and it was well after lunch on a holiday weekend. The reviews pointed us to the nearby Anatolian Kitchen. The presence of several other diners at that "in-between hour" was encouraging and the menu did not disappoint. There were several servers on hand, all were attentive and helpful. We shared the small mezze plate which was delicious and plentiful for the four of us. The accompanying fresh, warm bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect. Our gyro and kebab entrees were excellent. And, more diners kept pouring in the door. I think that speaks volumes about a place--where people are welcomed at any time of the day and the food is consistently fresh and delicious. Pleasantly surprised. We are not from this area but were traveling through and googled - turkish food and came across the Anatolian Kitchen. When we pulled up I was a little nervous and it just seemed very small and basic. When we opened the doors and were overwhelmed with the food smells and packed restaurant we knew this place didn't need to look fancy. Everything smelled amazing and the staff was hustling about. They found and cleaned us a table quickly and sat us. We ordered an appetizer of mixed spreads and dips and it was served with house baked warm breads. Each dip was fresh and packed full of flavors. We ordered a vegetarian dumpling dish and the chicken kebabs and again the flavors and quality were spot on. I can still imagine the garlic and fresh yogurt taste as if I just ate it. I needed baklava for my granddaughters birthday and Yelp stated this place was great and it was right! They also had Kadayifi which is in my opinion even better than baklava! Service was good and the menu was fairly expansive so I will have to come back and try more than appetizers and dessert but everything I saw coming out looked tasty! Parking is a little limited and there are only a few tables but it is definitely a great place to eat! read more

My wife and I went there last night looking for a light meal and we ordered the small appetizer sampler and a Mediterranean salad and added (at a small extra charge) feta cheese. Everything was very good. We went almost at closing so can't really comment on service. We will be back to try other items on the menu. Atmosphere is nice and tidy, just don't expect linen table cloths or Riedel wine glasses and you should be fine. The establishment was extremely clean. read more

Not bad. Salads have all been fresh and vibrant with flavor. Meat kebabs are extremely salty, wouldn't order those again. Portions are modest, not the best value in the area. Service is ok- not overly attentive, and slow to start, but food is delivered promptly. Bathrooms are not kept as clean as they should be, which is always a benchmark for me of the way cleanliness is approached overall by the business owner. This is the best Turkish food in the Lehigh Valley. Lots of yummy choices to select from. I enjoy the small appetizer plate, served with warm bread as a meal. Definitely enough for two, as I always take half home. My son enjoys their gyro sandwich. If you have younger children who are not adventurous eaters, save this place for date night! It's BYOB and they will happily provide glasses and a corkscrew, if needed. If you still have room, do try the homemade baklava. I was ready to give Anatolian Kitchen 5 Stars, I WANTED to give Anatolian Kitchen 5 stars, even as i'm typing this out I'm still considering giving it 5 stars but I just can't. I was staying overnight in Bethlehem PA for a meeting and as I arrived and had checked into my hotel by 5pm the hunger had set in. I did a quick search for mediterranean food as that's my typical go to food when i'm in a new location as Its pretty much my favorite cuisine and there's nothing better than a good Greek / Turkish etc restaurant. My GPS took me here in about 10 minutes from my hotel and as I pulled in I noticed it's quite small but there was available seating, thats where the problem lay...as you walk in it's not really clear if you're supposed to wait to be seated or approach the lady at the register, after waiting for a minute or so with no one approaching me it became clear that the latter is the right course of action. The greeting wasn't warm, but not cold either, I guess tepid would be the right word, I quickly was seated and ordered the Greek Pizza ( Flatbread with ground lamb and spices ) and the Gyro / Adana Kebab combo. The food came and was outstanding, especially the Adana Kebab which was some of the tastiest lamb i've experienced in a long time. When my food was brought to me again it was a very "tepid" experience where the waitress / servers weren't unfriendly, but there was an air of being "bothered" by me just under the surface....very odd. The food made the trip here worthwhile and I would definitely eat here again, but the service.........needs a little polishing ! read more

Tried for the first time tonight. Not much of an atmosphere, but comfortable. Note that it is a BYO. We enjoyed the mixed plate appetizer with some outstanding bread. Our meals were equally good. Thank you fellow Yelpsters for turning me on to this delightful restaurant. As many of you know, you need to get off the beaten path in the Allentown/Bethlehem area to find any decent food. This establishment was spotlessly clean and staffed by friendly folks who appeared to be all members of a single family. Prices are extremely reasonable and the menu is in English - with many pictures to help the reader understand what may be some unfamiliar dishes. For an appetizer, I ordered a Piyaz Salad which was a combination of white beans, chopped mild raw onion, parsley and a light vinegarette. It was very light and you could tell that it was freshly prepared. For my entrée, I ordered a meat combination platter. It consisted of chopped meat kebab as well as some lamb chops, with a side order of rice and a small homemade salad on the plate. All were excellent. I wish there were more of these type of establishments as I travel around the country. I will be back the next time I travel through the area. These guys work hard to earn your dollars so I suggest giving them a try. You won't be sorry!! read more

Even though in dining was closed due to COVID-19 ordered take out. Cigarette rolls which was stuffed cheese dough rolled up was delicious (just a bit salty), doner kebap platter came with salad and rice or bulgur. Dolma filled with spice (grape leaves) and tzatziki sauce. It was delicious! And a pita bread. The portion was more then ample and it really was cooked to perfection. I have lived in Turkey for more than 20, so i can say that i know what Turkish food should taste like. And Anatolia Kitchen is not far from that taste with their appetizers. Especially the eggplant salad was really delicious. Stuffed vine leaves tastes like they weren't homemade, yet was still delicious. Hummus and all other were pretty decent in the mixed appetizer plate. Lahmacun (Turkish Pizza) is really crispy and delicious. Indeed it is hard to find lahmacun as crispy as this even in turkey. Yet it would be closer to the original if it was more spicy, and served with parsley. Chicken shish kebap is tender and delicious. Go for it. Beef shish kebap was not marinated enough and bit dry. Yet i would not recommend adana kebap. ( it is too hard to chew and nothing near the original.) I would rather not have it on the menu. Pilav is delicious, served on the side. And please skip all the carbonated beverages and drink Ayran! It is smooth and goes really well with everyhing here.( not with the desserts obviously:)) I haven't liked the sutlac(the rice pudding). I was expecting something like on the menu, was not even close to it. It was too thick, and the top was not probably caramelized in oven. Overall, the service was quick. Servers are all kind and helpful. The place looks clean. There are really good foods. It is a good place to get introduced to Turkish food, yet not for all menu items. read more

We found this place via a search on Yelp. The page said they were open on Sundays until 10 pm, so we were delighted when we walked in @ 8:45p. Come to find out this is wrong - they close at 9 pm on Sundays. This is obviously a family owned and operated establishment. They were so generous to have seat and serve us anyway! The wife was amazingly nice and gave us some comments on tasty dishes to try. We decided to share a small Mixed Appetizer Sampler plate to start. It comes with eight different "dips" and four stuffed grape leaves. I'm not going to tell you about every component, and how fantastic it was. Just get it. I'm 100% serious, GET IT NOW! Ordered the Turkish Pizza, Traditional Turkish Dumplings, the Chicken Kabob and decided to share all three. Holy Tic Tacs, Pac Man! Incredible succulent food! Perfect seasoning - Ranajoy's Turkish Pizza was to die for! So much meat (not sure if it was lamb or beef) and cheese on a thin flatbread-esque crust. Soft, chewy, so magnificent! I was hoping the chicken hunks on the kabob would not be dry. Score! Spiced to perfection and juicy as ever! I didn't realize when ordering, but I've made and eaten Turkish dumplings. Yogurt, mint and cinnamon on top. The kabob and dumpling dishes came with a side salad (Turkish style). Pink pickled cabbage, tomato slices, red onion with a lemon-oil dressing lightly splashed. Superb! Hands down, do not do not DO NOT pass up their homemade Turkish creme brûlée dessert - it's God on a plate. Thick. Creamy. Decadent!! This restaurant is legit shit.
