Honch Breakfast Sandwich
Cara B.

This is such a cute spot on Bethlehems South Side! We were seated quickly and the food was good. I had the honch breakfast sandwich. It was a nice sandwich, but is a little heavy on the pesto if that's not your thing.

Sir Charles Omelette - A breakfast plate includes a yellow omelette, toasted bread, roasted potatoes, and a small cup of jam, with a glass of orange juice and a coffee mug nearby.

What a great little culinary treasure! Service is friendly, fast and efficient. The place is so cozy! My breakfast was amazing. The coffee was equally as good. Please support this farm to table establishment!!

Cobwebs and dust - Two metal hooks are mounted on a light-colored wall, with cobwebs and dust visible around them.

VERY POOR CLEANLINESS! GOOD FOOD. FRIENDLY SERVICE. I visited Roasted in Bethlehem, PA, based on its strong reviews and expected it to be busy, so I had no issue with the wait. My server was very friendly, and the food was good. However, THE CLEANLINESS WAS DISTURBING & DISGUSTING! There was a significant amount of DUST AND COBWEBS ON THE PANS & RACKS ABOVE THE GRILL WHERE FOOD WAS BEING PREPARED. This wasn't just a minor issue, it was extensive, clearly visible and clearly weeks worth of dust. I quietly brought it to the attention of the host, who acknowledged it and said they would inform the manager. However, during my entire visit, nothing was done to address it. I would have expected them to at least remove a few pans and wash them! When I asked again prior to leaving, I was told the manager was too busy. (True, it was busy that day) I understand that a busy restaurant can mean staff is stretched thin, but cleanliness, especially in a food preparation area, should be a priority. A simple effort to remove and clean the pans would have shown some level of concern. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Pros: Friendly service, good food. Cons: Serious cleanliness concerns that were acknowledged but not addressed. The restaurant needs a solid cleaning, including the walls behind the grill. I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like! I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously because a restaurant with such good potential should not be overshadowed by something as basic as cleanliness.

Oreo French toast is bomb!

My first time on a Sunday around 11am, got lucky and was immediately seated. It was crowded and my friend said she had to wait more than 30 minutes before when coming here. I do understand why because the food here is solid! The oreo french toast is absolutely oreo-gasmic. The sandwiches are also very good. Will definitely be back. Friendly service and great staff.

Cooper Scramble - A breakfast plate featuring scrambled eggs, toasted bread, bacon, broccoli, and onions, with small containers of jam and butter.

10 / 10 amazing food, service and vibes. We absolutely LOVED Roasted! It was warm enough for outdoor dining which is so fun in the middle of the action. Everyone adored their meals and beverages and seriously the best service we experienced in town. I dined here twice during my recent visit and thoroughly enjoyed the 4th Street Wrap and a Cooper scramble with roasted beets, Brussel sprouts, goat cheese and egg scramble. I kid you not - when I was wrapping up with my check, the waitress asked if I wanted another ice coffee to go! What!? Free refills, to go? Yes please! You'll definitely get your moneys worth with their large portions and reasonable prices. My friend's waffles were legendary. I would dine here multiple times a day if I could but sadly they are only open until 2pm. Incredible experience.

Street View - A cafe named 'Roasted' has a large glass window with colorful chairs and tables outside, and signs on the window promoting small business support.

The food was five stars but the service was three. Our server was lovely but we waited approximately 20 minutes to be seated, 40 minutes from the time we were seated until our order was taken, and then about 30 more minutes for our food. We went to eat on a Sunday at Brunch time, but these are still much longer than usual busy restaurant wait times. With that said, the food was absolutely delicious. I wouldn't go back unless I have a ton of time to spare, but I would love to go back for the quality of the food.

Mac Scramble

First time here for breakfast and really loved the place. Nice vibe, great service and interesting menu with some creative options. I had the Mac Scrambled which had kielbasa, peppers, potatoes, cheese. Really tasty and presentation was neat. My wife had the Chico which was a pancake with jalapenos and chorizo with two eggs on top. With a touch of syrup it was the perfect sweet and savory combination. They feature a flavored coffee every day and today was a graham cracker, cinnamon and nut which was really good. Looks like the staff are a lot of Lehigh students, all pleasant and attentive.

Oreo French Toast

My son and I enjoyed our delicious breakfast. While he went with pancakes, I had to go for the Oreo French Toast. So delicious!! We both ordered bacon on the side. Service was very good throughout the meal. A great little spot for breakfast and would definitely come back.

Oreo French Toast (what was left of it when I realized I wanted a picture)

My wife and I have been to Roasted twice. Once for breakfast and once for brunch. The food was tremendous both times. This is a "local" restaurant by every definition. All of the items they serve are locally sourced, from the eggs to the veggies to the coffee. Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity. The service was great. The wait staff are actually genuine when they say "how are you?" and "have a great weekend!". People are coming in and out a lot but we never felt rushed whatsoever. We were offered travel cups for our unfinished cups of coffee (our third each). I had heuvos rancheros, my wife had breakfast tacos, and we split the Oreo French toast. If you look at pictures of it and say "wow that looks good", then GET IT! It was so good and not overly sweet or overpowering. Roasted does Sweet and Savory very well. Highly recommended!

We were seated right away in an open format atmosphere with the best balance of light and dark. The bar across from us looked fantastic. What we noticed right from the start is how well the staff works with and for each other to bring guests the best dining experience possible. Maddie was our server. She was kind, professional, patient, and knowledgable about both food and drink on a grand scale. Her recommendations were stellar. I had a refreshing gin and basil martini as well as their beef carpaccio, which was absolutely fantastic. My girlfriend started with their beef stew, which was thick and satisfying. It was so delicious, she almost canceled her entree to have more. She went with the home cooking route and indulged in their meatloaf with green beans and mashed potatoes. Although she loved that as well, half had to come home with her, which made for an excellent lunch the next day. I went with the raw of it all and got their spectacular tuna tartare with asparagus, radish, and rice. Usually, the tuna is cut into strips but this tremendous block of gorgeous fish knocked me out. Absolutely fantastic from presentation to flavor. For dessert, we got their brownie with ice cream and this was all upper level in taste and texture. I would be shocked if their ice cream hadn't been made in-house. We loved our first experience with Apollo and we look forward to our next visit, which is hopefully sooner than later.

Thank goodness we planned some flexibility after the meal before our show started. But the real downer of the meal was Alison. Our server had such an attitude... while the food was pretty good, she was not. The place was also too loud and had no vibe. The bar crowd spilled into the seat area and looked messy. Wouldn't go back.

**Restaurant Review: Thyme Brunch**…read more I knew I wouldn't be disappointed at **Thyme Brunch**, and once again, it exceeded every expectation. My best friend was visiting from Arizona, and since he'd never experienced this gem before, I couldn't wait to share it with him. From the moment we arrived, the staff's warmth and attentiveness set the tone for a perfect meal. Their friendly recommendations made our celebration of friendship even more memorable. We took their advice and ordered the **Shrimp & Grits** and the **Pork Belly Hash**--both were phenomenal. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful, while the grits had an incredible zing that left me wishing I knew the secret ingredient. The pork belly in the hash was generous and rich, and we even added an extra egg so we could each have one--definitely worth it! And then there's the **view**. We were lucky enough to get a corner window seat overlooking the fall foliage and the dramatic incoming storm clouds--it was absolutely breathtaking. Between the food, the view, and the impeccable service, it was an unforgettable dining experience. I regularly drive 30-45 minutes to eat here, and it's always worth every mile. I've never been disappointed. Even my niece still talks about the **burrata**, saying it was the best she's ever had--and that was four years ago! Thyme continues to be one of my favorite spots--consistently excellent, beautifully presented, and always made with care. *Chef's kiss!*

I'd heard mixed reviews going in, but aside from the parking, there wasn't a single thing to complain about. I kicked things off with crispy chicken dumplings, perfectly fried and served with a sweet-and-salty soy yuzu sauce, along with rich, pillowy pumpkin gnocchi. For my entree, I went with the pasta of the day, fettuccine in a garlic-horseradish cream sauce with mushrooms, Swiss chard, and tender beef tips. My friend went with the savory short ribs, served alongside a golden Irish cheddar potato cake, roasted root vegetables, and crispy shallots. We wrapped things up with the salted caramel apple cheesecake and tiramisu for a sweet finish. Our server was attentive throughout our meal, and the hosts sent us off with a friendly farewell.

The quiche was packed with broccoli, cheddar, and bacon, a classic combo that never disappoints. The sandwich was layered with eggs, spinach, roasted peppers, mushrooms, mozzarella, and Cooper cheese, all tucked into perfectly grilled multi-grain bread. The blinis were crisp on the outside, light and fluffy inside, and topped with sour cream. For those unfamiliar, blinis are small, tender pancakes traditionally made with yeasted batter. With its consistently tasty food and inviting atmosphere, Mitzi's remains one my favorite brunch spots in the Lehigh Valley.

I'm from New York, and my sister moved to Pennsylvania, so she introduced me to this spot. Now every single time I visit her, I somehow end up right back here because the food is just that good. They used to have a second location that closed, but honestly, it doesn't even matter because this one was always my favorite, the food here is on another level. We always start with the Brussels sprouts, the fried green tomatoes, or the hush puppies. You simply cannot go wrong with any of them. The appetizers are always hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. And then there's the mac and cheese... absolutely to die for. Even the children's mac and cheese is ridiculously good. Creamy, cheesy, comforting, exactly how mac and cheese should be. Their salads deserve their own shoutout too. The goat cheese salad with pickled eggs is perfection, and the Caesar with cornbread croutons? Genius. It's the kind of detail you don't expect but end up craving every time you think about it. But of course, the real star of the entire place is the cornbread. Truly heavenly. They serve it warm, and the whipped butter melts right into it, it's honestly dangerous how good it is. I could eat the entire dish by myself without hesitation. The service is always great, quick, friendly, and welcoming. It's one of those places where the vibes feel just as good as the food tastes. On weekends, it does get packed, so making a reservation is probably a smart idea. All in all, I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. The food, the atmosphere, the consistency, everything hits. Once seated, our server was the only bright spot of the night, he was amazing and clearly doing everything he could. Appetizers came out quickly and were good: the cornbread was delicious and the cauliflower app was solid. Then everything fell apart. We waited over an hour and fifteen minutes for our entrees, even though the restaurant had basically emptied out by then. When the food finally arrived, some dishes were cold and others were dried out from sitting under a heat lamp. For a place charging these prices, this is unacceptable. What made the experience worse was management's complete lack of accountability. The GM never came over to apologize, acknowledge the delay, or offer any form of compensation, nothing, despite us being patient, polite, and spending over $400. At that price point, basic service recovery should not be optional. This was a frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish. There's clearly a reason reservations were easy to get during the height of the Christmas season. We will not be returning.
