    Cheesesteak
    Patricia N.

I like breakfast! I love quality, hot coffee better! With that being said, we had errands to run in this neck of the wooods and always eager to try new restaurants. It's a small building on main route 309 N and has been there half a century as indicated by the waitress when I asked if I could trade my cup of coffee in for a small grapefruit juice. She took it personal, mentioning in 57 years, no one has ever had issue with it. I perk organic coffee at home and their coffee tasted like soapy water, sort of conditioned water from salt tablets. The water tasted same way. She obliged with a replacement. The lone server, Lisa, was hustling through the small establishment this weekday in September. I always try a pancake plus an egg dish. And hubs always gravitates to the cheesesteak with a side. The fried potatoes quarters were previously frozen and the eggs were fluffy and good. pork roll was standard. The lone pancake was surprised fluffy The cheesesteak was flavorful and the highlight were the side of homemade pierogi from a local source. Refer to my photos. The bill was $32. Tip $20. Off to next new breakfast place.

Great service, super friendly and fast. Food came quickly and the potatoes taste fresh. Love that it has a crunch to it. Will definitely be back!

Love the long time local feel since the 1960's! It's simple, clean, and happy! I'm so happy that we have this spot in our backyard now that we moved only 5 minutes away. Breakfast all day is my happy place.

Some things were good, others were disappointing. I couldn't decide between the breakfast tacos and the G145 egg sandwich, so I got both. This was the first time I ever ordered breakfast tacos so I'm glad they were delicious! They were piled high with chorizo, scrambled eggs, tater tots, cheddar jack cheese, pico, and sour cream. The G145 egg sandwich consists of two eggs, bacon, & American cheese on a brioche bun. The bacon was cooked perfectly and the roll was soft and flavorful. My dad ordered a strip steak and eggs. He said, "it was okay, it's kind of tough". A medium rare steak should never be tough. My mom ordered two eggs, breakfast potatoes, and toast. She enjoyed the eggs and toast, but said the potatoes were awful. I had some with my sandwich and I have to agree with her. They were bland and dry. Overall, I thought the food was pretty good, but the service was substandard. Our server was super unattentive. Eating and socializing behind the bar was more of a priority than checking on her tables. I was still generous enough to tip 20%. Pickup and delivery are both available. Reservations are recommended for parties of 6 or more. Breakfast Tacos - 7.8 G145 Egg Sandwich - 8.2 Food - 8.0 Service - 6.3 Value - 7.4 Restaurant score - 72

Hands down the best bagels in the Lehigh Valley. Every bite tastes fresh and made with love. I've tried several of their sandwiches and they never disappoint. The flavors are bold, the ingredients are top quality (hello Boar's Head meats), and the portion sizes are generous. Don't skip the specialty cream cheeses especially the sweet ones like S'mores or the savory garlic & herb. The vibe here is cozy and friendly, and the staff treats you like a regular even on your first visit. It does get busy (because it's that good), so I recommend ordering ahead if you're in a rush. But even if there's a line, it's totally worth the wait. Back Home Bagels delivers every time. This place is officially part of my weekend routine.
