My girlfriend and I have been coming to Superior for the past few years. This is because they have a wide range of foods that are cooked quite well. Their seafood dishes and burgers and breakfasts are hard to beat. They also have an amazing bartender (Brianna). As for service, everyone from the the hosts to the wait staff are truly exemplary souls (like Shelly), and owner Mike treats his employees like family. Maybe that's why we've seen the same people working there for years. I've only ordered the Greek Salad, but I have ordered it numerous times. I swear they must be Greek because it's one of the best Greek Salads I've ever had - and I've had quite a few in NJ, NY, and PA. I get it topped with Gyro meat, with tzatziki sauce on the side. ($14.00). I'm telling you folks I'm freakin crazy about this salad! As much as I want to try other food from here (it all looks delicious), I don't go there often and when I do it's always the Greek salad! Everything in the salad bowl is fresh, and there's lots of stuff in there. My favorite is the Feta cheese which they don't short you on. Those Greek olives ar yummy too. Pleasantly surprised how delicious the housemade marinara sauce was! Marinara was absolutely delicious over spaghetti and eggplant; even the eggplant was really good. Well done Chopped Steak with mushrooms was very good at previous dinner here. Garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli were great sides. Fish entrees were really good as well. Labor day holiday, we were expecting a crowd. Still, there was no wait to be seated, and the staff, working hard for sure, provided great service. The food was good, and a good value. I have been here a long time ago and the food was not bad but this time the food was not good at all. The server was very nice. Needless to say we came in hungry so we did eat the Parmesan wings which were way to soft but the flavor was not bad, and bang bang shrimp which didn't have any bang at all but the shrimp were nice and big. Here is the part were my group had to send our entrees back. We ordered Chicken Alfredo, assuming it was coming with Alfredo noodles, rather it came with mushy Angel hair pasta over cooked chicken. The noodles was like mash potatoes, I got the steak and it was over cooked even though I asked for medium and dry because it had a teriyaki marinade it tasted like teriyaki jerky. Next we had the steak and crab cake, steak once again over cooked and crab cake very mushy and to fishy. The salad was not shown because when the salads arrived at the table I had to pick it apart, there was so much yellow lettuce I couldn't even eat it. The overall atmosphere was nice. The tables could have been cleaned better. I watched the busser and it was a quick spray of the table and that's it. Where we were sitting the floor was filthy so they are not taking time to at least check under the table and properly clean. Overall the staff was kind and the manager did give us dessert which my kids said was good because they wouldn't even let me taste it but the cleaned the container (not a crumb left). I may try again because maybe the cook just had an off day. read more

Five stars are not enough for Superior and it's staff! We had our mother's funeral lunch there today. The owners showed us such kindness, others could learn from them! The attention to details were unbelievable! They even went as far as holding a microphone next to our equipment so everyone could watch a movie of mom! They treated us with such compassion! The food and the service was also on another level! We didn't have to worry about a thing! I would highly recommend this place for any type of event or for a dinner out! staff was decent, nothing special. food was something i would expect out of a fast food restaurant. my beautiful girlfriend ordered chocolate chip pancakes & they didnt put the chocolate chips in the pancake mix... instead they put them inbetween the pancakes in the middle, not even spread out. i ordered scrambled eggs & asked if i could get cheese with them. i was baffled when the server came back with two slizes of unmelted cheese ONTOP of my eggs. pretty ridiculous to think i have to give specifics on how to make chocolate chip pancakes or eggs and cheese... wont be spending my money here ever again. worst 40 dollars ive ever spent. read more

I picked a meal for smaller appetites because I lusted after the cakes, in a glass refrigerated case in the vestibule. This was the first time I got here with my husband and my kid. The place was busy, but we didn't have to wait to get a table. The menu is nice and has a good amount of options. I got the Cajun shrimp with pasta, my husband gota crab sandwich and my step son got a chicken Alfredo. My husband has a severe allergy to mushrooms and as soon as we told it to our server heads sure everything was completely mushroom free. Food came out in a decent time and delicious. I grew up in the area and was visiting from CA. I actually ate here twice. Once with family for a meal and the other as a private event in their private room. The food was good on both occasions as was the service. The private event was hosted by my family. We worked with Mike and Frank who were both really friendly, professional and easy to work with. They were also very flexible. This was a last minute event and we really wanted to have the privacy of the downstairs private room. It was already booked through 1:00 and we wanted our event to start at 12:30. We opted for the upstairs dining room. To my surprise when I called to give a more accurate count of attendees and arrival, Frank had informed me that the party that was using the downstairs private dining room had finished their event and they were hurrying to set it up for our 50-60 people. Amazing! They really pulled it together for us and were so flexible with us. It was for a funeral service and they went out of their way for us. The food was good and plentiful. The service was attentive. At the end of the event the woman that had seemed in charge that I was working was the owner, the mother of Frank and Mike (I forget her name). She was great - she took care of us. A real family business for thirty years. Over my many visits back to the area I have eaten at Superior many times. I have only good memories. read more

If you are going to advertise chicken lomein on your menu, try not to serve soaked soy sauce spaghetti noodles with canned vegetables and rubber chicken. Went there this morning with a party of four. We have not been there in years. This meal makes me remember why we stopped coming. Our server was a mess he brought our beverages out in stages when he took our orders my wife ordered her home fries well done what she got were pale while rest of us got crisp home fries. My sister and brother in law ordered eggs which came out cold, which they sent back and were recooked and came out cold again. Our toast was burnt. My creamed dried beef was less than warm and so starchie, my wife's eggs were also barely warm when the server brought the recooked he brought out with another tables order. We went here for breakfast some time ago. It was a Sunday morning, prime time breakfast hour. One of ordered eggs and the other eggs Benedict. Being that this is a diner, you would think that they would be ready to go on a Sunday morning for a breakfast crowd. We waited about 30 minutes after ordering until our waitress came over and told us that our meal should be out shortly. We waited another 15 before I tracked her down to find out the status. She explained, "There is no one here in the kitchen that knows how to make eggs Benedict." Ridiculous. You're a diner, open for breakfast. If you can't do breakfast what can you do? She ended up explaining that they had to pull one of the owners in the kitchen to make the dish. When our food finally arrived, the egg dish was cold. We explained it to our waitress, that the food was cold and we waited 45 minutes to an hour for our food. The only thing she did was remove the cost for the extra side of bacon we ordered. I went up to pay and explained how disappointed we were. The hostess said, "Hopefully next time will be better." I made it very clear that there would be no next time. read more
