Twisted Olive is definitely one of my favorite restaurants. They have a great bar and restaurant area that is open yet quiet. The artwork is amazing and the lighting is perfect. It's great for dates because this is where my girlfriend and I had our first dinner together in 2021. Veronica, our incredible server, took care of us. She fielded any questions with ease and her recommendations were exceptional. My girlfriend loved her cosmopolitan and my martini with blue cheese stuffed olives was phenomenal. The artichoke and spinach dip was both plentiful and flavorful. The tuna tartare was a bit dry yet delicious. But that grilled octopus was on a completely different level of flavor and texture. Twisted Olive is such a cute and welcoming place. It was super close to our hotel and did Saturday lunch, which we appreciated. Staff was incredibly friendly and attentive and even though there weren't many people when we first arrived, you could tell it had a fun vibe. It was filling up as we left. I had the pasta primavera and it was rich and delectable. I added shrimp which were perfectly cooked. I didn't think I was going to finish it but I did. My partner enjoyed his chicken panini. The fries were excellent. We both want to return on our next Bethlehem trip to try the pierogi and some cocktails. I also think their salad options look good. Came here three weeks ago for dinner. Location was great, right across the street from our hotel! The ambience was nice, place was busy but the service was still great. Zahir was our waiter and he was training someone that night. We went in wanting to try a few small dishes and possibly sharing an entree. The appetizers were actually bigger than expected, which made us happy and since we had so many, we did not have room for a regular entree. The menu was really interesting, in a very good way. We tried the crab bisque, which was nice, the smoked brisket in blue cheese sauce, very good, thought the blue cheese might be too strong but it wasn't. We split a Caesar salad, very good. Had the Short Rib Ravioli, really enjoyed this dish. Had the French onion soup with the dumplings, this was nice (a little salty but still good) and we were already getting full. There was definitely a "twist" to all our dishes and all were uniquely different. Our daughter had pizza, which was pretty good and a chocolate ball dessert, brownie and chocolate mousse in it? Kudos to the chef, the staff and even the manager, who stopped by the table and chatted with us. We had a little snafu at the end, when I walked out with the final bill but they got a hold us and were able to resolve it. If in the area, you should try this place ... we would again! read more

Yesterday we sat outside. They have very good outdoor heaters when it's a little colder outside.Although we did smell gas coming from the building in which I asked the manager to check to make sure there wasn't a tank leaking. The bathrooms consist of a single separate bathroom for both men and women which there was a line. They are not handicap accessible. They are small rooms with a single toilet and sink. They were clean though. I ordered a meatloaf sandwich with French fries. I also had an Espresso Martini. The meatloaf was pretty good,the bread was toasted perfectly. The fries were pretty tasty as well. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and professional. The lunch menu had options for most but there weren't a ton of options to pick from. The dinner menu had more things to choose. This place is on Broad Street so there's ton of people watching. Also they do get crowded so be prepared to wait. This is one of the worst places I've ever been. Clara was one of the worst bartenders I've ever met in my life. I gave her a $20 tip & I saw her at another bar after she got out. She was drunk & she berated me in front of Colin at New Street Tavern & called me an asshole in front of everyone. This is one of the worst places you'll ever go. We have been to Twisted Olive several times and have always enjoyed everything we've ordered. The drink menu has many creative cocktails to choose from and never leaves us disappointed. We usually order the french onion soup dumplings or the twisted blue brisket to share, or have soup as an appetizer. The french onion and crab bisque are always great choices! Today I ordered the bacon wrapped pork mignon as my entree - the meat was tender, the spring roll was crispy, and the bok choi was cooked well. My girlfriend ordered the grilled ribeye, it was cooked medium rare as requested and was extremely tender and well-seasoned with a heaping side of garlic mashed potatoes. In the past, we have also ordered the roasted marinated chicken, steak on a stone, ahi tuna, braised lamb shank, super lump crab cake, and skirt steak. All were fantastic! read more

We were in Bethlehem for our anniversary for an event, and the reviews made this look like a great place to grab dinner. The staff were all friendly and helpful - we started off sitting outside but got moved inside just before rain started. We sat by the windows and had a great view of the area. The food was excellent - and staff were great with recommendations based on the few options we were narrowing down. I was upset they put raisins into Kale salad for lunch today, which is not even an ingredient of this salad. Kale salad did not have shaved pecorino cheese, which IS an ingredient of this salad. They put powdered cheese on salad instead. Waiter said I should have let him know, he would have fixed it. But he didn't check on us until much later, even though there was only one other table with two people for him to wait on. Did not enjoy pierogies as much as last time. Did not care for Whiskey Sour. Fries were good. Crab bisque was okay last time. Friend enjoyed short rib ravioli and fries today and figgy piggy sandwich last time. Ordered the special and their calamari pasta as well as the whipped ricotta appetizer. While the pasta was somewhat expensive, the portions were huge and the atmosphere was okay. Everything we tried was fabulous! We came to celebrate my moms birthday and the reason she wanted to go was the soup! She had tried some of their soup at a festival earlier this year and loved it. They have a three soup sampler that was great. We also tried the French onion soup dumplings and they were so unique! They need a bit less rosemary but they were still delicious. I had the lamb shank; husband has the ribeye. Both were satisfying! While we didn't get a choice of sides, the sides they came with was perfectly matched. Risotto for the lamb and mashed potato for the ribeye; seasonal steamed veggie with both. We can't imagine the dishes without these sides. I visited Twisted Olive over the Thanksgiving holiday with some friends. We popped in for a happy hour treat of THE. BEST. EVER. Manhattans. I dare say, the best in the Lehigh Valley. So much so, we were sure to return there before we left. The bartender gal hit it out of the park. It can get a bit busy during prime dinner hours, so make a reservation. We were lucky to score seats at the bar during our visit. Great pork belly salad. Burgers for my dining companions were perfectly cooked, but don't say "medium" if you really want "medium well". I ended up eating half of a burger and it was delicious. Martini had lots of oil in it - maybe from bleu cheese olives? Tasted ok though. Service was appropriate - attentive without being overbearing. Wall lights are arguably too bright at certain tables, and it feels a little crowded, so can't give five stars. Took a while to get the check. I sat with my friend and family and noticed the wait was very short for our food as well. It was extremely pleasant and unexpected! The Twisted Olive is phenomenal! I loved everything about this resturant. From the dining experience to the service to the ambiance in the resturant to the delicious food, you can't go wrong dining at the Twisted Olive! I went here for my first time just the other day. My boyfriend and I went on a date night after work. (The Twisted Olive happens to be walking distance from my apartment!) We decided to check it out because of how close it is and we heard good things about the resturant. I was pleasantly surprised by how good everything we had was. The food was EXCELLENT. I mean, everything we had was terrific. We started off with the three soup sampler, then ordered the crispy shrimp. For our entrees we just decided to order the margarita pizza and a large Cesar salad with chicken. We shared everything and enjoyed every bite! We ate all of our food and we left happy with full bellies. The sauce on the crispy shrimp was sort of a sweet and sour sauce with a little spice to it. It was so tasty. The chicken on the Cesar salad was grilled just right, juicy and delicious. The margarita pizza was terrific. It tasted wood fired, with crispy crust and delicious sweeter red sauce! The soups were probably one of my favorite items. Each was so delicious in its own way. What I liked best about the crab bisque was that it had large chucks of crab meat in it! I would HIGHLY recommend dining at the Twisted Olive for lunch, dinner or even happy hour! The food is delicious, probably my favorite resturant in the Bethlehem / Lehigh Valley area. It was my first time in Bethlehem and my sister made a reservation there. Everything I had was excellent. I had the Soup Du jour and the Pan Roasted Barramundi. This should be the gold standard in all restaurants; these are the things that make dining out enjoyable & create return customers. We had the calamari - fantastic. I got the fish tacos with cod, rice, & veggies. It came out on 2 plates! Everything was delicious & the zucchini was not overcooked. My fiance got the dragon noodles, spicy. The dish was delicious, the noodles were perfect & the spice wasn't too much. We both had a great experience & will definitely return to the establishment in the future. So far, I've only been here for cocktails, but they're some of the best I've had in Bethlehem. Their bar staff clearly takes pride in the craft and will literally make you anything (even if it's a real, time consuming, egg white shaken whiskey sour). Sometimes I wish we could rate service and food separately but oh well I settle on 3. Our server was a hot mess, she admittedly drank an entire pot of coffee before her shift so flighty she was. My mom and I have celiac and asked about what was safe since the menu is not marked. The server told us serval wrong items and had to check with the kitchen multiple times. We started with two appetizers, grilled artichokes and pulled pork. We did not enjoy the artichokes that much, they tasted burnt and the sauce was strange. The pulled pork however was very good and had a nice smokey taste. For dinner I had the flat iron steak and it was exceptional. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and the chimichurri sauce was outstanding. The rice that came with it was boring and seemed like an odd choice though. My parents enjoyed their crab cakes and scallops so I would also recommend those. The atmosphere is okay, nothing special. The entire restaurant is tables, no booths and they are rather close together and it's hard to navigate. We watched two servers drop things on people they bumped into and someone tried and fall. My family and I ate here for dinner while dropping my sister off at Lehigh University for freshman year. Everything was to die for. We started with the grilled artichoke and French onion soup dumplings which were both so flavorful. We ordered the crab cakes, the skirt steak, the barramundi, and the seafood vodka sauce pasta.
