My wife went this past weekend (3/21/26). She was meeting people from her job to celebrate a momentous occasion for a coworker. I didn't go, but my wife asked if I wanted anything off the menu. I cut meat out of my diet so finding alternatives when eating out sometimes can be a challenge. I can say I haven't eaten meat on a daily or weekly basis for going on 3 years now. Have l slipped and eaten meat?Let that craving for meat consume me. Hell yeah I have, I'm not perfect and I can admit that. So as I'm looking at the menu here at Fegley's B.B.W. I came across their "CHUNK VEGAN STEAK" and asked my wife to order that for me. Now I've had some imitation steaks before, but when my wife came in with this Chunk Vegan Steak. I opened up the container and from just looking at the appearance of this Chunk Steak I was totally taken back and honestly thought this piece of meat was real. I then cut me a piece and proceeded to eat. WOW! Talk about a great tasting vegan piece of steak! I actually told my wife "babe I think they made a mistake and put a real piece of steak in my meal. I was so taken back by the taste of this steak. I offered my daughter a piece and when she ate it she burst my bubble and said she could tell it wasn't real. As a meat eater she has keen taste of real meat. I on the other hand would eat this chunk vegan steak in place of a real steak anytime. If you're ever hungry and want to eat out and aren't a meat eater. I would recommend this Vegan Chunk Steak at Fegley's Bethlehem Brew Works to anyone who isn't a red meat eater. Now as I rant about this vegan chunk steak the whole meal the asparagus the potatoes were delicious. The people in the group said their food was delicious also. I meet up with some folks at Brew Works probably once or twice a year and have always had a positive experience. Back in the old days I spent many Friday and Saturday nights downstairs at the Steelgaarden part of the joint--I can't share too many clear memories of those times! But the restaurant I can tell you is very nice, well-maintained, with the beer vats (right, that's what they are?) making for a fun backdrop. The waiter service is generally pretty good. And man, I love their soft pretzel bites with beer cheese. If you're a soft pretzel fan, you must give these a try! They make their own beers, of course. I'm a Miller Lite type of beer drinker, and their Valley Golden Ale works just great for me. read more

One of our friends had recommended The Brew Works for some good food and great drinks and we can say we were happy to prove them right! There was a lot of fun items on the menu and it was actually fairly hard to decide what we would get! In the end we landed on the mac and cheese and the meatloaf sandwich. The mac and cheese was delicious, and had a great depth of flavor from the sharp cheeses used, and I struggle to rate a mac and cheese bad if it has a breadcrumb topping, this helps break up the texture and adds a lot to the dish. Possibly one of the best pasta dishes I've had in a while. The meatloaf sandwich was also fantastic, with a lot of different textures and tastes coming from the burger. It was so good I could have had a second one straight away!! The combination of the sauce, the onions, the patty and the bun were excellent. We also tried a couple of their drinks, and although there is a fun selection of cocktails (plus seasonal ones when we visited), we landed on the craft beers (available as a flight too). The highlight for us, again, seasonal, was the Rude Elf's Revenge, which gave a holiday twist to the craft beer adding in Christmas spices to make a unique brew. If there was anything I'd note as a blip, it would be the fact that everything was a great standard but the fries were you're run of the mill fries (which is not a bad thing at all). But by contrast, I think I would have preferred some seasoning options to elevate them to the same level as the other food items. The staff were attentive and helpful, and there was a good energy inside with a mix of families, friends, coworkers and dates. 10/10 would recommend. read more

There were a lot of cute spots to eat on Main Street, and I definitely regret coming here for dinner. The service was super slow and the food was really lackluster. My chicken caesar wrap was in the most stale and crunchy wrap - not great. Fries were also cold and not crispy. Luckily beer was great and I enjoyed my red ale on tap. They also have a nice outdoor seating area. And despite service being slow, our server was super friendly and very funny. On the walk back to our car we passed a lot of outdoor dining with food that looked way better. Unfortunately this was regrettable, and if in the area again I would hesitate to return. read more

An out of town friend and myself stopped in Fegely's Brew works on Main St. in Bethlehem, PA yesterday. We were greeted promptly by our waitress, Megan. She was welcoming, friendly, attentive, informative and professional. We were pleasantly surprised with brunch menu and specials. We ordered the half carafe of mimosas. Just the right mix of champagne with a tasty orange juice in flutes. I ordered a breakfast entree, which did not disappoint. A plump veggie omelette filled with fresh grilled mushrooms, peppers, and cheese with a side of breakfast potatoes-delish! My friend was equally as pleased with her eye catching and palate pleasing Cobb salad - perfectly sized portion of mix of fresh greens(good portion of romaine), fresh hard boiled egg, picture perfect avocado, delicious grilled, tasty chicken with a side of blue cheese dressing. We opted for booth seating in the bar area( plenty of natural sunlight). There is a large dining room and outdoor seating (we chose A/C yesterday, due to high humidity). They also have an extensive list of their brewed beers on tap, samplers and the like.... which they are known for. Thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday brunch( available every Sunday). Service was just ok. Super nice woman but she didn't really know the answers to any of our questions and apologized a lot. Ordered 2 drinks separate times and they didn't have both so I just finally said screw it and got a water. The water had a nasty taste to it, like pool water. Stout soup 7/10 Good. Definitely too much bread though. The amount of cheese was great. The onions I think could have been cooked down a little longer. Burger, Whiskey style 7/10 I was not asked how I like my burgers cooked. It was a medium well, i would have loved it to be more of a medium rare/medium. As a whole it was a little dry. For the whiskey style, I swapped the cheese for the cooper cheese. Didn't really taste the caramelized onions at all. The whiskey sauce, if there was a good amount more, it probably wouldn't have been so dry. The side was a choice of fries or coleslaw. The waitress did not give me an option to choose, I just ended up with fries. Fries 3/10 They were kinda disgusting. Half of them were so light they barely even looked cooked, and they were super soggy. Meatloaf sandwich 7/10 It was juicy, bread was good. We came after eavesdropping at the hair salon that they have a great happy hour which was true! The chicken and cauliflower wings stole the show! However, we asked for them with ranch instead of blue cheese but were given blue cheese and charged for ranch. The brew-shetta tasted stale and day old. The truffle fries were just bad. The server also seemed like it might have been his first week at the job. He seemed confused about the quantity and size of to go boxes but then offered to bring lids for the sauces (which we paid for) but the sauce lids he brought were for the Cole slaw sized containers. Oof, boy do I feel bad for the crew here. The kitchen and management is a mess and while the servers are hanging on by a thread for the holidays it makes complete sense why the morale is out the window. A busy night turned into a complete flop. The brewchetta was a slam dunk on taste but came with a measly serving of toastettes...when we asked for more it took about 8 minutes to get them out. Dinner was mediocre. The steak and fries was the highlight and that's saying a lot. The Cobb salad was ordered without blue cheese and with oil and vinegar but we had to ask for it again. The buttermilk chicken sandwich was the biggest disappointment. They "ran out of buns" and brought a nugget of a piece of chicken on "toasted" bread? The arugula was one piece? The pickles were plentiful but the sauce was more of a Buffalo than the promised hot honey. I ordered it with cheese added and it came without. I also swapper the regular fries for their beer battered fries and didn't get them. Asked for both after it hit the table and got a cold chicken sandwich (the same one they took from the table) with a cold unmeltedslice of cheese and no replacement of fries...but was told I'd be getting one. They never came. Eventually asked for a manager who took care of the chicken sandwich. Asked the server who had no problem saying it was all the kitchens fault, if I could JUST get a side of the fries...he said he got me, they never came out. For all the promised customer service moments, having to ask for a manger because table touches weren't done, and other things, it was an experience that left a pretty bad taste in our mouths. Plus the e players seemed to have the same negative feeling about the managers and kitchen staff... sooo not sure what that has to say about the current situation? read more

I hate to have to leave a review like this but I've tried this place now a few times and it's beyond inconsistent. Drinks are good. However, our food was a mess. My wings and our apps went to a different table. The chicken cheesesteak was dry. The boneless wings came with no sauce and the wrong sauce on the side. I got hot and honey but it came with mild. I asked for a side of the hot and honey and then a side of ranch. They gave blue cheese. Our waitress felt horrible and she did try to fix all the issues. Our appetizer came out after our main food. We got the pretzel bites and i will say those are always on point and amazing. Overall, the vibe or ambiance of the place is great. Sadly it doesn't compensate for how iffy it can be here. read more
