We were out celebrating in PA and hitting up local breweries. This was our 3rd brewery stop, and probably my least favorite. They card you right at the door here, so it already seemed like a college drinking spot. It's a smaller area inside with not much seating. Very packed, and I noticed that 85% of the people in here were college kids. And, I also noticed a distinct segregation from the older people and younger people. All the old people were on the back wall near bathrooms, taking up maybe 10% of the space. So, drinking options. I just wanted something light. Did the Mooey and wasn't a fan. Probably bc an older guy recommended it. I then did the apple pie cider in a can, and enjoyed that. At that point, we were headed out so didn't get a chance to try anything else. The cider I had wanted they were out of. The main perk of this place for me was the heavy rotation of 70s hits they played. Other than that, just not my scene.

    Beer...duh.

Had my first beer above the Mason-Dixon Line here. Fantastic dark beers. Well done. L A cool local hang out. Friendly staff and patrons. Light on the outdoor seating but you can stand...you'll be alright. No food unless potato chips are considered meals in PA? Ask the locals/bartender where to eat after you've had a few beers at the bar.

This place is hop-ping! Came in on a Saturday and it was packed. The bartender told us that they had two parties that stopped in. It was great fun. Lots of cool and interesting craft beer choices. I had a fruity one that was quite good and easily drinkable. Happy hour is from 4:07 to 5:33. $1 off pint beers. I asked what the story was behind the odd hours and they told me "Wish there was one". No growler refills during happy hour though. But since we didn't know - they were super nice and did it for us. I also noticed on their website that if you are coming on a party bus they ask you to notify them at least a week ahead of time and that they be one of the first stops.

Great brewery with a fabric vibe. They have good beer and they are very welcoming to everyone.

The guys behind the bar were awesome. They were friendly, had a ton of information on the local scene and most importantly on their product. We chatted about their beer menu, upcoming events, their to go offering and life. Very down to earth guys and the bar talk amongst the patrons was fun and friendly. Beer wise I had a Main 2 Main pilsner which was average and a Coconut Silent Partner, which is - "Silent Partner, our chocolate stout which is rested on organic Ecuadorian Cacao Nibs, is then infused with coconut. The deep chocolate, roasted and caramel notes blend well with the slight sweetness of the added coconut." I thought the Coconut Silent Partner was above average and very well put together. Food truck's grub was decent and the building itself was clean... even the bathrooms. It's a big location, lots of seating and was family and pet friendly with some outside seating along the main road. I snagged a couple of four packs to go and was on my way. I would definitely return to visit.

A blonde light colored beer with the taste of coffee! It's creative and it tipped the scale to me liking them! The location is a bit hidden but they have signs to direct you to where they are. It's a factory-ish building. The feel of the place is very in line with their story and culture of a couple of guys who started brewing from their garage. Parked outside will usually be different food trucks. If not, hop hill serves food from the inn down the street. It's such a creative business concept and makes the visit a unique experience every time. Inside the space, they have games at every table and a jenga set. They're pet friendly and i got the chance to play with several cute pups! They have about 7 different types of beers on tap. I already raved about their morning blonde. Their house brew is also quite good. They also have a blood orange IPA which is also creative and not as hoppy as other IPAs. The best is that they serve 4 4oz flights for $6. Its super cheap and u get to try basically every beer in two flights. My only suggestions would be to open for more hours and to brew some beers that are higher percentage in alcohol. All of the beers are about 5-7%. They also have a lot of IPAs.. I wouldn't mind trying some stouts or wheat beers. I wish these guys the best of luck and success. I'm sure they'll be moving to a bigger space or expanding in the next two years or so if they keep doing what they're doing!

Overall, the bill wasn't too expensive either. However, the ambience is majorly lacking for how cool the historical building looks from outside. That was a big let down after years of seeing this in passing. It feels too much like a 90s coffee shop from Friends / a poorly converted modern bank lobby with the lighting, and the floor layout lacks flow if you're sitting at the bar. It would be an improvement to see historic qualities restored to the interior, rather than bland sheet rocking, no crown molding, etc. Aside from this, we found the music to be a very distracting and random selection of early 2000s dance, pop, EDM, emo, and rock, mixed with the occasional alt rock hit that was (finally) tolerable enough to fade into the background. The room is vacuous because of the high ceilings and hard building materials, so turning the volume down a little and choosing something consistent in tone (perhaps neo soul or just sticking to alt rock) would be beneficial for the overall atmosphere. Bottom line: would return again for the food, but the atmosphere wasn't what we expected and could be improved for a cozier, vintage styled atmosphere (but that's mostly a matter of preference). Friendly service, affordable prices, and good eats go a long way.
