I happened to be driving through the Hellertown area and spied this place for a recent lunch stop. I easily found parking on the street, saw a food truck outside and set myself up to enjoy a pint or two of their beer offerings! The guys behind the bar were awesome. They were friendly, had a ton of information on the local scene and most importantly on their product. We chatted about their beer menu, upcoming events, their to go offering and life. Very down to earth guys and the bar talk amongst the patrons was fun and friendly. Beer wise I had a Main 2 Main pilsner which was average and a Coconut Silent Partner, which is - "Silent Partner, our chocolate stout which is rested on organic Ecuadorian Cacao Nibs, is then infused with coconut. The deep chocolate, roasted and caramel notes blend well with the slight sweetness of the added coconut." I thought the Coconut Silent Partner was above average and very well put together. Food truck's grub was decent and the building itself was clean... even the bathrooms. It's a big location, lots of seating and was family and pet friendly with some outside seating along the main road. I snagged a couple of four packs to go and was on my way. Visited the outpost in Bethlehem during Musicfest and fell in love with their beer but they weren't doing growler fills because it was so busy so we headed over to their main location ! Both places are GREAT ! I loved the outpost because it's set up like a bookstore and they have a little spot in the back for food and gelato. This one though was set up a bit different but very nice , sleek and clean. The people at the main location were very nice and friendly and were kind enough to check in the back for a shirt I really wanted every though they had a feeling they had sold out. The beer was incredible . The strawberry rhubarb one is now my all time favorite. Such a tasty , easy to drink one. It tastes like a berry salad to me! If this doesn't appeal to you try the one that tastes like a strawberry milkshake!! There was a third one I liked as well I think walk in the park or some name like that! I got a little blurry ! When I moved back to LV, i was sad to leave Pittsburgh beer scene that had sprung up in the recent years with excellent and creative beers. I think Lost tavern is up to that par with creative brews. I was so glad to find it in Hellertown when I visited last week. They have a pretty well rounded drink menu, ranging from mlik shake-y beers, IPAs, and porters. Something for everyone. Of a couple i tasted, I really liked all of them. In regards to the covid policies, the servers were really clear with the 'food on the table' rules and came back to our table to check on us regularly. Also the outdoor seating has heaters which made drinking cold beer in 30 degree weather bearable. All in all a good experience and will be coming back to try more stuff! read more

Came here on a Saturday evening. Really great live music, and the beer is great. Ordered a Lost in the Mix (pina colada IPA), and my friend got some food from the tasting room. Really enjoyed my IPA- more refreshing and crisp than I was expecting, so it was a pleasant surprise. Not too bitter. Overall, good vibe and bright but very loud and packed. New favorite watering hole! Very few small brewery beers actually taste like the menu describes. Lost tavern is not one of them. We tried most of the beers and everyone we tried, tasted just like the menu described them. Hats off to them and the brew master! We will be back many times! This place consistently blows. Tried it on multiple occasions when I'm in the area and they always let the group down. Horrible service, beers are always kicked and the food trucks aren't great. Absolutely wretched and bottom of the barrel. The service was so unprofessional, with rude, flaky staff totally devoid of customer service skills, that it ruined the experience. The hostesses couldn't find a reservation we'd made hours before, and online, so there was a record of it. We were lead towards a table in the glaring sun, one of four, rather than any of the dozen tables in the shade or under a tent, and encountered resistance when we politely asked if we could be sat out of the sun. We were then informed that we could place our own orders at one counter for beer and another counter for food, and pick it up ourselves. What are the waitstaff there for, decoration? One beer ordered, the Lantern Light, was crisp and refreshing if unremarkable. The other, the Dually Lifted, was fruit-juice levels of sweet and nearly undrinkable. Nothing to say about the food (which comes from a rotating selection of trucks parked on the street near the tables, not a kitchen), since we left before ordering and went somewhere else for dinner. I tried to make friendly conversation with one waitress while paying the check and was talked to in the most condescending and obnoxious tone possible. Take that attitude and shove it, children, because it's making your customers flee in droves. I won't be back until there's evidence that Lost Tavern has gotten its act together, and I'm sure not holding my breath for that to happen. read more

Instructed the Pa law that we have to order food from the food truck. So we ordered 3 items to insure we would have a decent amount of food to have 2 or 3 beers each. Served 1 round after we ordered our food. Then we got our food about 10 minutes later. That's fine. But, the outside person on Saturday 10/3 never returned to our table for then next 30 minutes after the food was brought to us. The outside server was directly across from where we were sitting, and went around, in back of us for a half an hour! Picked up debris on other tables after people left, tables right next to ours. Picked up items off the ground that had blown in the wind. Never came back to us. Ridiculous. What's the point in giving an establishment any more money when they don't take the time to serve you?? And I regretted getting up and leaving after only 1 drink and $30 worth of friggin food because I liked the beer. There's other places that want my money more than this place. Oh man, this place is fantastic! I came here with a buddy during Lehigh Valley's Beer Week in February and this is by far my favorite brewery or brewpub in the Lehigh Valley area. The brewery has tons of space inside and outside for small or large groups and the beer is 100% top-notch; they make a lot of styles and they make them all well. Just moved into the area and stopped in for a Valentine's Day beer and lunch with my wife. Great vibe and we can understand why it gets positive reviews. I tried one of the beers and my wife had a bloody mary since she is not a beer drinker. The food truck was doing a Sunday Brunch menu and we had the quiche and breakfast tacos. Both very good. Pros: Great beer selection with a wide variety Ample seating New and clean establishment with vibrant atmosphere Cons: No food cooked on premise. Food trucks often park outside, but are separate from the bar. Only on-premise beer served Noisy. Very bad sound control. One mush shout to be heard when the bar fills up. Right now, it's a fun and new place to check out, to sample some decent beer at reasonable prices. As time wears on, three factors will determine Lost Tavern's longevity: 1. Will they serve beer not brewed on-premise AND other types of alcohol? 2. Will they serve food made on-premise, or have a reliable food source whenever the bar is open? 3. Atmosphere and decor is a typical craft brewery. Big bar up front with tables and their tanks out for display. They had darts and shuffle board to play. They have a small food operation in the back. The people I were with got the nachos. They looked better than they tasted but they did the trick. Their beers are hit and miss. As most breweries it depends on your taste buds. However there wasn't one that I was like YESSSS about. Their isn't a ton of parking so be prepared to park on the street and maybe walk a ways depending how busy the town is. read more

Stopped in today (the day after their grand opening) and had a great experience. The bar tenders were very friendly and the owners were there as well making sure my wife and I were enjoying ourselves. The head brewmaster even introduced himself and took a tour at 12pm for the patrons that were there. They had a food truck (stuffed to the grills) outside and it was great, they also have a menu to an Italian place down the street that will deliver to the brewery. Plenty of seating and a great atmosphere, dart board in the back, shuffleboard on the side and I even saw a few board games on a shelf. Nice patio seating outside the brewery too. First, the states draconian rules that you have to serve food and have food on your plate to to be served alcoholic beverages is ridiculous and is not going to stop the spread of COVID. If you think otherwise stay away and stay locked in your home. You will feel better. Now for the beer. A lot of good varieties of beer for everyone's liking (they also have wine and cider). The service is good and beer is tasty and the variety of food trucks also works. During the VID I am happy for the food truck business. They seem to be doing well as everyone has to order food to have alcohol. Please support this business and follow the states draconian rules. The beer here is good, but way heavy on the IPAs. I don't feel like I can find a beer I like here anymore. It gets packed really quick and often times there are WAY too many kids- it ends up feeling like a daycare/community day and there aren't seats for paying customers because there's a party of children. For me, it just kills the vibe. I don't go out to hang out with a crowd of kids. Not that I need a raging bar scene, but kids just aren't what I want with my beer. I would imagine this clears up if you go later at night. The food trucks are haven't seemed to be great- you pay $10-15 and get a mediocre small plate. The live music is a nice idea, but often a bit too loud for the space. I've always found the service to be slow- generally they don't seem to have enough staff for the number of customers. Street parking only, but it wasn't difficult to find a spot. Place was crowded but we found a table near the door. Live music in the late afternoon was nice. They have a strange system where you have to ask the bartender for a wristband, no charge, but not sure why either. Ordered some beer. It was very good, especially the bourbon barrel stout. Stayed for a while. It's too bad they don't sell their beer in bottles, only growlers. Good beer at a decent price. Good people watching. They had 2 food trucks, but didn't partake. The Lost Tavern, a new brewery in Hellertown is a great spot to stop in for some tasty brew. Though they don't serve food beyond snacks normally, on weekends they have food trucks or a BBQ place cater with some good food. The setting is great for enjoying beer, particularly outside in front on nice days, though smoking is permitted which can interfere a bit with the enjoyment of the beer. Inside is nice as well with a view of the actual brewing equipment, a dart board, and shuffleboard. There are nearly a dozen brews on tap with half regulars and half rotating specials and seasonals. The best way to enjoy the beer and try a variety is with a flight of four. Of the 8 brews we tried, I enjoyed all of them. Of note were the Oktoberfest, Amber, and Saison which I enjoyed thoroughly. You really can't go wrong here with the beer though. read more

The beer here is always good. My wife especially likes the sours they produce. The coffee beer is one of my personal favorites. We get our growlers filled by them regularly to bring home.
