On my second visit to Allentown, my girlfriend brought me here to make friends with a young professionals meetup group. I just had one beer (Anna Banana) which was tasty and smooth. There is seating outside for a nice day and some seating for about 25 people at the most. There is plenty of parking in the surrounding Lot and space for cornhole or other lawn games to play with friends. Staff seems friendly from the brief interactions.

Emmaus has the real deal nano brewery. Yergeys' is BOSS! Jim and his son are legit brewers. The menu carries at least 8 beers at a time. He rocks the higher ABV selections. I'm currently banging on this Belgian Tripel, Left-Handed Monkey Wrench. Go with his signature Hoptileitious. Open Th-Sun. Foodtruck on premises.

Great local brewery where the owner goes up to the tables (that he made himself) and introduces himself. A lot of unique creations, like a coffee IPA and a hot chocolate something or other, and more importantly, a lot of great craft beers. The scrumdiddlyumptios beer is by far my favorite. (I think my spelling may be off a bit) Atmosphere is kid friendly and with a rotating food truck, there seems to be something unique going on daily.

Look. I don't think Yergey has the best beer in the Valley, and I won't pretend they do. But it's good enough. To me, the environment here is what's important. I love coming to Yergey after work for beers with friends. I love sitting outside during the summer, or piling in during the winter. There are often food trucks, which always spark joy within my cold, dark heart. You can very easily run across the train tracks (NO, BE SAFE AND WALK ON THE SIDEWALK) to Switchback, order some pizzas, and bring them back to eat on the picnic tables. If you desire something stronger, it's also right next to a distillery. And if you buy one of their yellow sippy-cups, you can fill up on beer to take over to the Emmaus Theater for one of their weekend BYOB cult classic showings.

This is a great new brewery! We came here back in early November and we were very impressed with the quality of the beer; the styles were varied and they were delicious. We also enjoyed the layout of the brewery and the fact you could bring in food from the outside. We met the owner who was very kind and who genuinely has a passion for what he's doing. I highly recommend coming here if you're in the area!

Jim the owner is terrific. He greets everyone, explains the beer selections and is quick to answer any questions. Rotating food trucks makes this place extra special.

Rising River Brewing -- Relaxed Outdoor Spot with a Tropical Vibe is a nice place to visit,…read moreespecially if you're looking for somewhere to relax outdoors. They do a great job creating a tropical, laid-back atmosphere, with a tiki bar and a nice outdoor deck that really adds to the vibe. The beers and drinks tend to be on the lighter, fruitier side. There weren't any IPAs on tap during our visit, so if you're an IPA fan, the selection may be a little limited depending on the day. There was a food truck on-site, and we ordered sandwiches. Unfortunately, the food truck service took forever, and the sandwiches weren't exactly worthy of taking a picture of. Definitely not the highlight of the visit. There was also a band playing inside the bar area, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, you couldn't really hear the music outside, so if you're sitting on the deck or in the yard, you wouldn't know there was live music happening inside. One thing I really liked is that the place is very family- and dog-friendly. Dogs are welcome throughout the yard, grassy areas, and even on the deck, which is a big plus for us. The family atmosphere is nice, although there were quite a few kids running around, jumping in the creek and throwing rocks, with what seemed like little to no parental supervision while they were in the water. That may be something to keep in mind depending on what kind of atmosphere you're looking for. Overall, it's a nice spot to grab a drink, hang outside, bring your dog, and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere. The tropical outdoor setting is definitely the biggest draw. We'd come back for the atmosphere and drinks, but probably wouldn't make the trip specifically for the food.

But we tried two beers and we thought they were pretty bad. We didn't finish our beers. Fortunately, they had a bar, and we ordered cocktails, which were good. If they didn't have drinks we would have left. I wish these brew bars would also sell at least a couple of popular beers, in case people don't like their home brew. Cool place though.

Finally! Another brewery! Not that I don't love brew works but I was getting seriously tired of…read moretheir microbrews. Hop hill brewing is as refreshing as their morning blonde brew! A blonde light colored beer with the taste of coffee! It's creative and it tipped the scale to me liking them! The location is a bit hidden but they have signs to direct you to where they are. It's a factory-ish building. The feel of the place is very in line with their story and culture of a couple of guys who started brewing from their garage. Parked outside will usually be different food trucks. If not, hop hill serves food from the inn down the street. It's such a creative business concept and makes the visit a unique experience every time. Inside the space, they have games at every table and a jenga set. They're pet friendly and i got the chance to play with several cute pups! They have about 7 different types of beers on tap. I already raved about their morning blonde. Their house brew is also quite good. They also have a blood orange IPA which is also creative and not as hoppy as other IPAs. The best is that they serve 4 4oz flights for $6. Its super cheap and u get to try basically every beer in two flights. My only suggestions would be to open for more hours and to brew some beers that are higher percentage in alcohol. All of the beers are about 5-7%. They also have a lot of IPAs.. I wouldn't mind trying some stouts or wheat beers. I wish these guys the best of luck and success. I'm sure they'll be moving to a bigger space or expanding in the next two years or so if they keep doing what they're doing!
