The owners wife was at the door doing the count since like most of these places, they have to stay within their occupancy limits. She was delighted to hear that we walked over from only a couple blocks away and oriented us on where to order food and beer. We felt very welcomed into their air conditioned dining room. They have a limited food menu, but we expect that to get better. They also ran out of hot roast beef sandwiches and hand cut French fries just before we arrived and said in the first two and a half hours they had more than 400 customers come and go. We had hot dogs and really good perogies, so no problem. The beer was the reason to be there and it did not disappoint. I had a flight of #1 a German style bock, #2 a lager named Hawk-en-Dauqua (this brew pub is in the Hokendauqua section of Whitehall, PA), #4 a nice IPA and #5 a smooth Pilsner called U R Pilsner. All were good, but the IPA was especially bright with a nice grapefruit finish. Service was friendly and quick, you order and then find a place to sit. There is a nice long deck with ceiling fans and lots for seating. Plenty of parking on the lot with overflow in the lot next door accessible by a sturdy iron pedestrian bridge. A word of caution. There is a well marked pedestrian crossing from Sixth Street to the Hawk Mountain lot with big yellow Pedestrian Crossing signs in both directions of Lehigh Street, but no one driving there tonight seemed aware that in Pennsylvania drivers must stop to yield to pedestrians in a designated crosswalk. The fine is $50 and 3 points on their license. If you need to cross, BE VERY CAREFUL. Otherwise, we give all thumbs up and all the stars to our experience here on opening week.

My girlfriend, 11-year-old son and I came in for dinner on a Sunday after skiing in the Poconos all day. Parking can be tricky but we lucked out with street parking right around the corner. Overall it was just a very average experience. Nothing terrible but nothing that inspires us to come back a second time. My girlfriend and I are big beer nerds and were looking forward to the beer. We tried the Red Ale Eddy (good) and the Winter Dreamz (very good). I might have bought a 4 or 6 pack of this one to bring home with us, but their to go fridge for beers was completely empty. For food, we both got a smashburger, hers with a side salad and mine with house-cut fries. I thought the fries were good but the smashburger was incredibly disappointing. Dry and tasteless. My son got the margherita pizza and said it was ok. The section of tables at the front seemed to be shortstaffed as the tables around us remained unbussed for our entire time there. Nothing like staring at a table full of messy dishes to set the mood. It took awhile to get the waters we asked for and to flag our waitress down to ask for a second drink. Overall we would probably come back if there weren't any other options, but would prefer to try someplace else first.

From long-distance coordination of the event (I am in Virginia) through execution the day of -- Shannon, Brittney and Jim Yergey himself were absolutely wonderful to work with and made the day so special for us. It was an absolute bash and oh yeah... the beer was good too ;) If I wasn't throwing a party I would have tasted them all, but the general consensus from the guests was the beer was spot on! Of what I did try, they were expertly-crafted from the seriously refreshing Kolsch and Session IPA to the Hefe that struck all the right banana and clove notes! A MUST stop the next time you are in Allentown :)

There were Santa hats, inflatable snowmen, and an ice cream truck - what more could you want? I had the Brown Ale and the Dunkelweizen - both delicious. My boyfriend shared his Wee Heavy and Bitter - again, winning beers. Yergey's was not on our radar when we ventured through Emmaus, but it was the highlight of our random day trip to Lehigh Valley. In the spirit of Christmas, we purchased a bottle of the 2021 Holiday Beer - a doppelbock called Decorator. The bartender even gave us a complimentary matching Christmas Ornament when she overheard that I collect them! If I lived closer to Yergey Brewing, I'd be here once a week. The people were welcoming and the beer was delicious. I'm definitely keen to come back! In

Finally! Another brewery! Not that I don't love brew works but I was getting seriously tired of…read moretheir microbrews. Hop hill brewing is as refreshing as their morning blonde brew! A blonde light colored beer with the taste of coffee! It's creative and it tipped the scale to me liking them! The location is a bit hidden but they have signs to direct you to where they are. It's a factory-ish building. The feel of the place is very in line with their story and culture of a couple of guys who started brewing from their garage. Parked outside will usually be different food trucks. If not, hop hill serves food from the inn down the street. It's such a creative business concept and makes the visit a unique experience every time. Inside the space, they have games at every table and a jenga set. They're pet friendly and i got the chance to play with several cute pups! They have about 7 different types of beers on tap. I already raved about their morning blonde. Their house brew is also quite good. They also have a blood orange IPA which is also creative and not as hoppy as other IPAs. The best is that they serve 4 4oz flights for $6. Its super cheap and u get to try basically every beer in two flights. My only suggestions would be to open for more hours and to brew some beers that are higher percentage in alcohol. All of the beers are about 5-7%. They also have a lot of IPAs.. I wouldn't mind trying some stouts or wheat beers. I wish these guys the best of luck and success. I'm sure they'll be moving to a bigger space or expanding in the next two years or so if they keep doing what they're doing!
