Brü Daddy's is a beautiful space right in downtown Allentown with red brick walls, high ceilings, a…read morelong bar, and views of the wood burning pizza oven. My girlfriend, 11-year-old son and I came in for dinner on a Sunday after skiing in the Poconos all day. Parking can be tricky but we lucked out with street parking right around the corner. Overall it was just a very average experience. Nothing terrible but nothing that inspires us to come back a second time. My girlfriend and I are big beer nerds and were looking forward to the beer. We tried the Red Ale Eddy (good) and the Winter Dreamz (very good). I might have bought a 4 or 6 pack of this one to bring home with us, but their to go fridge for beers was completely empty. For food, we both got a smashburger, hers with a side salad and mine with house-cut fries. I thought the fries were good but the smashburger was incredibly disappointing. Dry and tasteless. My son got the margherita pizza and said it was ok. The section of tables at the front seemed to be shortstaffed as the tables around us remained unbussed for our entire time there. Nothing like staring at a table full of messy dishes to set the mood. It took awhile to get the waters we asked for and to flag our waitress down to ask for a second drink. Overall we would probably come back if there weren't any other options, but would prefer to try someplace else first.

I was the only customer there during my whole time of drinking. The beer that I got was very tasty and would've been cool to be able to be here with a bit more of a crowd but honestly, I enjoyed my trip out there.

I tried a few others that my husband was drinking that were tasty but not quite what I like to drink so definitely a place with variety!!! Not just all hop forward IPAs - woot! Woot! If I have a criticism it's their Mexican Lager - way too much lime for my taste - it tended towards a sour and, again, that's just not for me. Oh, also, the Cuban was good and came with a nice side of fries - I would definitely try more of their food next time!

It was relatively busy, but was able to find a spot at the bar easily. I started with the cheesesteak and a Beach Bum Caribbean Stout. The beer was cold and had a lot of flavor to it. I could taste the chocolate and malt for sure and I really enjoyed it. I was not a fan of the cheesesteak. It did say pressed in an artesian roll, but I found it too crunchy for my preference. The flavors were good, but just not my preference or style so would not order again. I also snacked on some pretzel bits which were a large portion I could not finish and were really good and extra salty (which I like). The service was attentive and knowledgeable. I enjoyed my time there and if in town again would stop in.
