Flights!
Vishal P.

Fun little brewery. Good place to get a variety of beers. Try a flight! Not too much seating inside, but a good amount outside so a cool place to stop by in the summer. No food but I guess sometimes they have a food truck here. There was a BBQ truck when we went that had some really good brisket! Hit the spot. Fun afternoon.

Funk is a great brewery in the heart of Emmaus. Perfect to stop in for a beer or 2. The staff is always friendly and helpful and their new beer just keeps getting better. The bar has about 10 seats, but there are a few high top tables to have everyone sit around. Parking can be a little problematic if there is a big release, but it's not a busy road so you'll be able to park up a street or 2 and walk over. Last time I was there they had a food truck. Seemed like a weekly occurrence.

2 flights of their amazing beers!

I tried 2 flights (4 beers per flight) Pretty much everything they had on tap.I have to say it's the first time I loved every single beer from one brewery.Kind of small bar, seats maybe 12 people.Tables inside and out but not much to see inside (pretty crammed) and outside (fenced in loading dock area) I didn't go there to expect a great view, next time I'm going to try the food trucks that were out back.Parking on side street is limited and loading dock area has a few spots to park. Food trucks were there but we had pizza from Joes Pizza on Chestnut Street. The Pizza was out of this world. So there's an option if you don't want food truck food.

Tour 7 Tasting

With a failed attempted at a ski trip, they didn't have group lesson yet we didn't want to spring for a private one and my friend had one of her boots and one of her boyfriends, we didn't decide not to waste are drive north of the city and go on a random brewery tour. Googling what was near by we came across Funk Brewery which the cool name grab our attention and we set it into our line up of place to stop. Being our last stop it was dark so we passed it the 1st time around once we realized that we looped around and looked for a place to park. When we walked in we were shock about how packed this little brewery was. We searched around and finally found a small opening at the bar where one of us was able to order. We went with the 7 for $8 tasting which you got to sample all 7 of there beers. While doing the tasting we learned that you could sub out and double up on a beer you like. Not being an IPA or stout person I tired one of each than for the other 2 just double on on a style I prefer. Eventually some space opened up and we were able to get two seat at the bar. The bartenders were amazing. Very knowledgable about the product and beer in general. Super easy to have conversations with we had blast chatting them up as we sampled Funks beers. Most people in the tasting room were locals, Friday is one of the most popular nights, if you're in the area this place is worth a stop. Great staff, good beer, fun atmosphere!

This was such a disappointing visit. We came here back in early November as we had heard good things about the beer, but it was definitely a bust. The service was fine and the staff were kind, but the beer just didn't taste good. We tried almost everything on the menu (with 2 flights) and only 1 or 2 beers were actually ones we enjoyed; one in particular, the Project Haze 002 was just disgusting and one of the worst beers I've ever had. It's a shame, but I wouldn't come back here again.

1. Get the tasting tour to try the variety of beer. 2. Get 2 growlers so you can take some beer home. 3. Mix the Citrus beer with one of their Stouts and enjoy. This is one of the best micro brew establishments in the area. Great service and friendly staff!

It was a cool little craft brewery near the train tracks. The beer was alright, but the vibe made me want to stay a bit longer.

From long-distance coordination of the event (I am in Virginia) through execution the day of -- Shannon, Brittney and Jim Yergey himself were absolutely wonderful to work with and made the day so special for us. It was an absolute bash and oh yeah... the beer was good too ;) If I wasn't throwing a party I would have tasted them all, but the general consensus from the guests was the beer was spot on! Of what I did try, they were expertly-crafted from the seriously refreshing Kolsch and Session IPA to the Hefe that struck all the right banana and clove notes! A MUST stop the next time you are in Allentown :)

There were Santa hats, inflatable snowmen, and an ice cream truck - what more could you want? I had the Brown Ale and the Dunkelweizen - both delicious. My boyfriend shared his Wee Heavy and Bitter - again, winning beers. Yergey's was not on our radar when we ventured through Emmaus, but it was the highlight of our random day trip to Lehigh Valley. In the spirit of Christmas, we purchased a bottle of the 2021 Holiday Beer - a doppelbock called Decorator. The bartender even gave us a complimentary matching Christmas Ornament when she overheard that I collect them! If I lived closer to Yergey Brewing, I'd be here once a week. The people were welcoming and the beer was delicious. I'm definitely keen to come back! In

My girlfriend, 11-year-old son and I came in for dinner on a Sunday after skiing in the Poconos all day. Parking can be tricky but we lucked out with street parking right around the corner. Overall it was just a very average experience. Nothing terrible but nothing that inspires us to come back a second time. My girlfriend and I are big beer nerds and were looking forward to the beer. We tried the Red Ale Eddy (good) and the Winter Dreamz (very good). I might have bought a 4 or 6 pack of this one to bring home with us, but their to go fridge for beers was completely empty. For food, we both got a smashburger, hers with a side salad and mine with house-cut fries. I thought the fries were good but the smashburger was incredibly disappointing. Dry and tasteless. My son got the margherita pizza and said it was ok. The section of tables at the front seemed to be shortstaffed as the tables around us remained unbussed for our entire time there. Nothing like staring at a table full of messy dishes to set the mood. It took awhile to get the waters we asked for and to flag our waitress down to ask for a second drink. Overall we would probably come back if there weren't any other options, but would prefer to try someplace else first.

A blonde light colored beer with the taste of coffee! It's creative and it tipped the scale to me liking them! The location is a bit hidden but they have signs to direct you to where they are. It's a factory-ish building. The feel of the place is very in line with their story and culture of a couple of guys who started brewing from their garage. Parked outside will usually be different food trucks. If not, hop hill serves food from the inn down the street. It's such a creative business concept and makes the visit a unique experience every time. Inside the space, they have games at every table and a jenga set. They're pet friendly and i got the chance to play with several cute pups! They have about 7 different types of beers on tap. I already raved about their morning blonde. Their house brew is also quite good. They also have a blood orange IPA which is also creative and not as hoppy as other IPAs. The best is that they serve 4 4oz flights for $6. Its super cheap and u get to try basically every beer in two flights. My only suggestions would be to open for more hours and to brew some beers that are higher percentage in alcohol. All of the beers are about 5-7%. They also have a lot of IPAs.. I wouldn't mind trying some stouts or wheat beers. I wish these guys the best of luck and success. I'm sure they'll be moving to a bigger space or expanding in the next two years or so if they keep doing what they're doing!

Well, I just love this place and if you're looking for somewhere to get a drink and soak in the gorgeous Delaware water gap area look no further! Both a beer and wine were terrific and above average! But the location and the views give it an extra star and bring it to five stars! The experience is not to be missed and exactly what I was looking for after a hard day of hiking and sightseeing in the Delaware water camp. On top of that, they got some really nice food.
