Came here for the first time in a long time. I used to come years ago when it was different owners and loved it. Sadly I cannot say the same anymore. When I ordered my meal, I asked for one item to be in the side and my meal came with nothing on it. After I stated something they brought me everything on the side. It was cold and awkward to put my whole meal together. I was disappointment but it didn't taste too bad. Then it was only 3 of us so the bill was not too much. For tip we gave 20% of the bill, and once I sat down since some of the group were still eating, I saw the girl who charged me say to a waitress: "wow they didn't even give good tip". Considering how my meal went, we still have 20% tip of the bill so needless to say I'm not coming back. read more

This is a GREAT place to eat....everything is consistently good each and every time you go. The waitresses are very friendly and always accommodate. Whether its the French Toast and sausage for breakfast, or the chicken parmesan for dinner, you must try it. And their pancakes are better than any in the Lehigh Valley bar none. First off I want to say the food was good. Not fantastic, but good. I'm giving them one star because I was charged for my second cup of tea. Now there's very few things cheaper than tea bags. While we were eating, the wait staff were going around with pots of coffee giving free refills to all. But, apparently if you want a refill on green tea you'll be charged for a second cup! So while the food was good and the staff were friendly and attentive, I don't like be gouged on the little stuff... So I probably won't be going back... read more

Stopped here for breakfast, had some time to kill before a delivery Had steak & eggs, food was great, not too pricey for what I got. Service was very fast. Main parking area is for cars and bikes but there is an auxiliary parking area big enough for a truck or two. Nice atmosphere , friendly staff. read more

I've been here a few times now. Today was my first time for breakfast. I got the special Coco Banana Pancakes. They are pancake batter infused with coca powder and chocolate chips and bananas added. I also added a side of bacon and a mug of Joe. The coffee is pretty good. A lighter roast, more than likely a columbian arabica blend. The 3 Jersey-diner sized pancakes were good. They came with Fresh bananas and not too many chocolate chips. The house-whipped butter was a nice touch , but the syrup was typical food-service sugar syrup. The side of bacon was 3 long strips cooked to perfection. My wife ordered SOS on white toast. It came out on rye, but they swapped it quickly. Overall it was a pleasant experience in a clean restaurant. Service was prompt and courteous. Food was above average and of good quality. Parking was ample. read more

I am going to start with the good... I loved my meal... The food is always delicious, however I have always had my food to go so this was my first customer service experience inhouse. We were given the choice of breakfast or lunch, however when the breakfast my husband wanted was unavailable. They do not make the hollandaise sauce after a certain time. When I asked the server if it was possible to ask if it can be done , she refused to ask. I have never been turned down by an establishment for something so little. While the rest of us got our food, my husband did not eat. Instead on the way home we will get him what he would like. A simple question to ask the kitchen or even the manager could not be provided , that is not good customer service and is pretty lazy if you ask me. If the product is there and it can be heated or made, I'll wait to get it... if a product is out of stock, no problem, I'll choose something else.... but to simply say its after 12? No, this is not a fast food restaurant... there is no one waiting in a drive thru that I'm holding up... go ask a question and make your table happy. Thank you. read more

Hanover is a pleasant little local diner, full of local clientele. The menu is as broad as you'd expect at a diner, with sandwiches, burgers, salads, soups, and traditional American dinners. As is common at this sort of place, the food was a bit underseasoned (my personal theory is that elder folks complain about the food being too "spicy"). As a result, my flounder tasted only vaguely of flounder. But even so, the flavors were quite solid, and a dash of salt brought out a well-balanced and flavorful seasoning. read more

I had a steak and egg breakfast. The steak was bland no flavor needed salt and pepper. Server places the steak sauce before I even got my steak. The eggs where over easy and cooked perfect. My hash browns I ordered well done where cooked great but flavorless and need salt and pepper. I did enjoy the seating at the counter very comfortable seats. I ordered the steak and eggs...the order comes out LUKE WARM...I sent it back requesting hot food. ...they "reheat" it and it's still warm except now the steak is like leather...I could not chew it. The omelets are also very different and delicious, we have tried the Spanish, chorizo and the hulk. Decided to try Hanover Eatery out for brunch. (3:30pm) the cream chipped beef I wanted is only available until noon so after much mental debate I decided to get a burger. I really wanted the cream chipped beef so I was having trouble finding something I wanted. I also ordered some wings and my fiancé ordered an omelette. The service started off great and stayed that way for the most part. So the menu describes the wings as crispy. Which is how I like them. Of course they came out soft and mushy. No crunch at all just a soft fatty mess. Worse way to eat wings and should never be served like that in my opinion but I was hungry and didn't feel like waiting to have them cooked longer. The sauce was good. Had a nice flavor and was very mildly spicy which is what "hot" is at most diners. Then our meals come out. My burger that I asked to be medium was well done which seems to happen all over. Very few places know how to actually cook a burger without making it well done. Which is sad. The onion rings in top of my burger were not fried long enough just like the wings. No crunch and the onion wasn't even soft. They were rubbery and I actually had to remove the onion because it wasn't appetizing. The fries were standard basic house made fries which thankfully were actually fried correctly and slightly crispy. Other then that everything tasted ok. Fiancé enjoyed her omelette. The waitress was good besides leaving both our water classes empty for like 5mins until we called her over to refill them. Keep in mind she only had 1 other table. Maybe 2. For the breakfast specials it says until 11 (except holidays). Today is a holiday and the waitress said, but it's after 11, so we cannot get the special. So, I am confused as to what "except holidays means". I took it as, the breakfast special ends at 11, except when it's a holiday. Then the special would continue. Making sinse because holidays usually means more customers. If that is not the case, maybe a better word choice is needed, or simply take (except holidays off). When they first open it was excellent went there 2 times. Went there the 3rd time my wife had meatloaf with mash potatoes the meatloaf was so dry. I had chop steak it was so over cook could not eat it. Had soup it was not what they say it was. It was gross sent it back 2 times did not want it anymore. We both had bad stomach pains and spent most of the nite in the bathrooms (thank god we have 2 bathrooms) We did not go back for about 2wks then we said let's give it another try so we did WHAT A MISTAKE We both had burgers. My wife had just a plane burger and I had a bacon cheese burger. They asked us how we like it we both said med. they both came way over done super dry not one drop of juice. We order wings too. We got them the first time we went there they were great NO THIS TIME. The wings was way over done and not meaty at all and there was less wings then we had the first time. The same thing again We both had bad stomach pains and spent most of the nite in the bathrooms again. THAT'S IT WE WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE. They make & give you great food when they first open to get the people in. Then once they get you then they start cutting corners & quality. The prices are a little high too. The last bill was $27.98 for 2 burgers, 5 wings, 1 coke, 1 water, WOW THAT IS ALOT. Every day I drive by and you can see less & less cars in the parking lot. What dose that tell you. Heard good things about this place and decided to give it a try. Was disappointed. For a Saturday nite it was not crowded. I tried the broiled seafood platter. The selection came with 2 shrimp, about a dozen small bay scallops and 1/4 sliver of salmon. Everything was so dry and overcooked and smothered in smoked paprika. The broccoli was steamed and tasteless. The baked potato and salad were good as was the service. I will try again but maybe for the breakfast next time. read more

I have eaten here 3 times in the last month, twice for breakfast and once for dinner. The serving portions were just what we liked. I even brought some leftovers home. The service could not have been any better, as it was excellent!! We felt like everyone knew each other, the atmosphere was very friendly and the food was devine.
