The menu consists of seafood, steak, and other American fare, but I come here for the all-you-can-eat crab legs. I've been here numerous times over the years and this place never lets me down. My buddy and I had all-you-can-eat crab legs dozens of times, at countless places, and we agreed that Adagio was the best. The quality of crab you get for an all-you-can-eat is unbelievable. Every plate comes out fresh and piping hot. Service isn't as good as it was once, but still satisfactory. Our server was attentive, but not very personable. We went to Adagio specifically for the AYCE crab legs since my parents had recommended it after a few visits. The food itself was decent, but there were long waits between rounds of crab legs, which made the experience less enjoyable. Unfortunately, the service wasn't great either. In an area of cheese steaks, pizza and what not, had the most lovely meal here. I'm told this used to be The Lantern, well they have a new name and it was all new to me. Parking is ample on site. Interior is clean and mostly white, reminded me of a northern Italian restaurant which was not uninviting. My stuffed flounder with crab meat was excellent down to the detail. Service was very good - attentive but not overbearing. Price was representative of the overall meal quality. Visited Adagio's on a Wednesday for their all-you-can-eat crab legs. I'm not a huge fan although I like crab meat, the legs are too much work for me but my wife just loves them. We ordered some drinks first, which were made very well and tasted great. Then ordered some steamed clams. They came out piping hot with some melted butter. They were small but very tender. Just delicious. Then my wife ordered the crab legs and I got the Faroe Island Salmon (blackened). The salmon was served with waffle fries and coleslaw. The crab legs came with a baked potato and coleslaw also. The Salmon was awesome tasting. I also liked the slaw which was nice and creamy. I watched my wife devour 3 servings of crab legs and that was all she could handle. I must mention our waitress, Erica. She is so nice and accommodating. I want to start out by saying shame on me. We teach our children to not judge a book by its cover, i drove past this spot 1000 times and never thought twice about it. The outside has no fancy signs or advertisement so i always kept chugging along. We decided to go there and see what it is about, all i can say is that i was floored. The place was extremely clean, it had some good music playing, updated and they havw a bar on the other side totally separate from where everyone is eating. ( big plus) Lets get to the food, we had another couple with us so we went in! We ordered steamed clams, mozzarella sticks, Buffalo wings, mini crab cakes and a Gluten Free Vegan pizza. The food was on point, flavor , portions, cooked to perfection. We then went for the main course, twin flounder stuffed with crab meat( not from the can) We also got shrimp and scallops and this was also delicious. The crab meat was falling out of the flounder and the sea scallops w / shrimp was delicious. You would and should try their carrot cake and cheesecake. Went to have dinner here after a long travel from California to visit family. I ordered the " Adagio steak" which turned out to be burnt and over cooked , my utensils were dirty and my beer that I had ordered was completely flat. Usually I am known To write great reviews but this definitely was the worst of the worst. The place seems to be lost in its identity. Inside, it is clean, modern and a self described seafood restaurant. On the outside, it is lacking in decor, landscaping, and a good broom clean, and sells burgers and cheesesteaks. On our first visit, the wait staff was pleasant, but not beyond the obligatory, and the food, while we finished most, was not more than standard, slightly above diner food, although marked up by 30%. Now, it was not lacking in taste, just for 30 a plate there could have been a bit more flavor or flair with each dish. Presentation was blah. The drink we had was packed with booze. Went for Groupon Dinner Food - 3/5. The shrimp cocktail tasted good but is a bit lackluster in presentation. Caesar salad was a bit lumpy with the dressing; some romaine having huge dollops while others were undressed. Oddly, the bread came out after the appetizers. Honey dijon salmon was not very good. The salmon itself was fairly dry and the asparagus still had their heavily fibrous ends on them. The sauce itself was weak in that I expected a mustard based sauce to be pungent and tangy but this one was very mild almost as if the dijon was mixed with heavy cream and nothing else to make it a literal dijon cream sauce. Service - 3/5. The service was poor but it was not the server's fault. He was alone in the entire dining room and seemed to have been dealing with a POS malfunction on his own. It felt like management was not on the floor at all to support their staff. While I am not happy with the 30+ minute wait to get my check on a slow night, I do appreciate and understand when the staff honestly explain their situation. I usually do not mind ambiance too much but the restaurant had no background music playing at all on a slow night making for an eerie silence. The dining experience was awkward due to that. First off, I'd like to start by saying that I was seriously confused by the negative reviews after my visit. We just moved in down the block and decided to try Adagio on a whim, regardless of the negative reviews. We were pleasantly surprised by our experience. From the second we walked in, we were greeted with smiles and hospitality. We chose a seat in their sun room, in front of one of the windows. The atmosphere was clean, neatly decorated, and bright. Our waitress was extremely attentive, explaining their current specials and keeping ice cold water in our glasses. I decided on the crab cake eggs Benedict with a Bloody Mary and my fiance upgraded his egg scramble wrap with lobster. The Bloody Mary was to die for! Finished with two fresh jumbo shrimp, it was a perfect combination of spicy and tangy. My fiance usually hates them and even he admitted it was delicious (so obviously I had a second). The food was served piping hot and in a timely manner. The Hollandaise sauce had a hint of old spice, which complimented the crab cakes well and the yolks were perfectly runny. My only note was that I could have used a little more of it to dip my toast in. The lobster egg scramble wrap had a BUNCH of lobster in it. My fiance let me have a bite before he finished (before I even finished one of my crabcakes), and I have to say.. for a girl that does not like scrambled eggs... this was amazing! Our bill was incredibly reasonable (under $40 for the two of us with drinks) and we left full and happy! How does this restaurant currently have 4 stars?! Having eaten at many of the seafood places in the Valley Adagio ranks among the worst. I REALLY WANTED TO LIKE IT. They just made it impossible. To start, the front of house manager, was also the back of house manager, was also the cook... and he was the ONLY COOK in the building! The waitress apologized for the long wait because "he was the only one working food." Interestingly, we were the only table in the whole place for at least 45min. One man can't pull off 8 different plates and bring them out at peak. Of course, a few of our plates were luke warm at best. The chicken was overcooked badly. The waitress told us that the rice "probably wasn't gluten free because it's Uncle Bens". Yes. She said that. This is not quick bite place- this is a $20-30 plate seafood place! C'mon man, Uncle Ben's?! The calamari (what we always get to rate the chef's basic skills) was some of the worst I've had. The sauces were good but half of the dish was actually fried batter! Tasted like triple-fried and petrified rubber bands. That is not, in any way, overstated. Fish tacos were dry fish pieces with a weak sauce in a store bought round tortilla. Really?! The only dish anyone liked at the table was the crusted Tuna which had a nice caramelization and flavor. One dish out of 8 was good. The rest were somewhere between bland and inedible. The wine list was printed out on worn sheets of printer paper stapled together. To top it off, the waitress could not get our bill right. When we explained to her how to get it right she said it would be very difficult to change it to get it right and then she stood there seemingly waiting for us to just pay what she was asking because her job was too hard. She then said the only guy that could fix it was the cook AND HE WAS TOO BUSY, she said. We had a movie to get too, so I just paid what she asked so we could go. Incredible. It is clear why Adagio is a ghost town. Firstly, it's in a bad location. Secondly, the ambiance of the restaurant can be accurately described as a clean bathroom. Thirdly, the service made attempts to be kind but was inept, at best. She had few answers to the questions we had about the menu. BUT, all of these CAN BE FORGIVEN if some Chef cares about their art and puts out incredible food. People will drive to a bad part of town, sit in a clean bathroom ambiance, and deal with clumsy service to enjoy excellent cuisine. I don't call Uncle Ben's excellent cuisine. I can't see how this place will last another 6 months. I feel bad for the owner and for the workers because you can see they try... but without a focused and inspired chef they will all be looking for jobs. read more

Went back to Adagio twice since my review on Yelp. Unfortunately, everything went downhill for each subsequent visit there. On the second visit, the food was not as good as the first time, and the server was not as good as well; but, ok, we decided to give it another chance. Big mistake! On our third visit, my salad had rotting pieces of greens mixed in with wilted lettuces, and the salad dressing was not good at all (although it was excellent on our first visit). I mentioned this to our server, and she literally gave me the evil eye, took back my salad, and returned with a better, fresher salad. I said I was sorry for her trouble, and she said nothing! Her attitude was just short of hostile for the rest of meal. THE FOOD: We ordered the calamari, baked potato soup, pesto salmon, and steak. Calamari was ok, the dipping sauces were good. The baked potato soup was completely flavorless. The salmon was SO dry and grey! Not even pink. At least it was covered in way too much pesto which helped with how disgusting dry this frozen salmon was. I couldn't eat it. The steak was even more disgusting. My dining partner almost choked on it - then we realized why. It was a poor cut of meat filled with tendons which couldn't be chewed or cut! He piled up all of the inedible pieces on the side of his plate. Disgusting. He's a big meat eater and will eat anything but couldn't even choke this down. That really says something. I'm not recommending it at this point!! Not sure if they don't have their footing yet or the chef was off last night, but my kitchen produces better fare. We had Pesto Salmon - which was the best of the three...the fish was cooked to perfection; Pesto a bit heavy and overpowering in my opinion but the taste was nice. Pineapple salsa Pork Chop - The Pork was frozen to long, very strong taste to the cut of meat and it tasted old. Pineapple salsa was very nice and enjoyed that part. I have to take away what I said prior. I will never go back or recommend this restaurant. The food was horrible the owner was rude and nasty, and again no music. I got fish tacos that were served on a plain tortilla, not toasted or anything (exactly what you'd get at the store right out of the bag), with a piece of un seasoned fried fish, with a creamy spinach concoction on top. I could not even eat it!! The prime rib was ordered rare and came out medium well, and the sea bass looked like plastic and the skin on the bottom was gewy, like gum on the street getting stuck on your shoe. From the relaxed and friendly owner that met us and sat us to the moment we walked out we were treated special. We misheard the specials and the owner and waiter worked together to create an appetizer that was not on the menu. You can't get this service at a chain restaurant. The sea bass with long grain wild rice and the peppercorn strip with asparagus were amazing. They make their own white balsamic dressing that is perfect on the mixed green salad. To be honest, I was surprised such a young bartender had such honed skills. I started with the blackened tuna bites and drawn butter. It was on the salty side, but cooked well. It was good, but nothing ground breaking. For dinner I had the much over priced sea bass entree with baked potato and asparagus. The fish was not worth $33.00. Served in an off-white sauce, which was unremarkable. The fish itself was slightly undercooked. I'm not even confident it was seabass, as it didn't flake as seabass does. I suspect it may be Escolar pawned off as seabass. In any event, I'd come back for cocktails and apps sometime, no dinner. My family and I found this place during restaurant week wanting to try something new. I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and chic style of the decor down to the type of utensils. The clam chowder was a combination of briny, smoky, and creamy. Not too much of anything and perfectly balanced. The steak fajita soup sounded odd but it brought a good mixture of spice and warmth to the broth. A house salad is usually just a spread of mixed greens and some raw vegetables but the flavors came alive with the white balsamic vinaigrette. It was peppery, sweet, and fresh. You could basically put it on anything and it would still be that amazing! As for our lunch entrees, we tried the shrimp fiesta salad, crab cake sandwich, and the lobster roll. I was not too wowed by the lobster roll, it could have used a bit more of a punch in flavor but overall still a decent sandwich. The crab cake sandwich was spectacular with a great ratio of crabmeat to cake. There were good chunks of crab with little filler which is hard to find in this area. The sauce over the crab cake pulled the whole thing together. Perfectly moist and tender. Now let's talk about the fiesta salad. Again with the salads, but the dressing was amazing! It was a citrus mint dressing that blended well with the crispness and freshness of the salad, mixed with pineapple salsa. Definitely a must try with the crab cake sandwich. Finally dessert, the cookie sundae was a la mode, so obviously it was a nice way to finish a meal. The real winner was the tiramisu! I've had many in my life and it is my all time favorite dessert, so I am always highly critical and slightly protective of how they turn out. I have to say, it was one of the best I've had in a long time. A perfect mix of coffee, liquor, and cream. If anything else I will most definitely be back for this. The newest restaurant in north Bethlehem is trying hard. This location has changed hands frequently and quickly over the years. The owners of Adagio have spent a lot of effort to change the juju of this spot and it shows. Classy and intimate vibe inside. Clothed tables and a huge granite bar waiting for the liquor license so BYOB for now. Our server was young and inexperienced but tried hard. The cuisine is all American food. Steaks, seafood and chops. The shrimp bisque had a nice bite to it but the texture was thin, seemed more like a soup than bisque. Salad was made with quality greens and the buttermilk ranch dressing was very good. The Delmonico steak with mushrooms was done perfectly and the baked potato with old bay butter was a great accompaniment. The bacon wrapped scallops were ok but we thought they were a bit dry. The wild rice was pretty standard as well. Overall nice experience, 3.5 stars. Food was good albeit pretty unimaginative. Prices were reasonable. This review is for the banquet hall that Adagio has downstairs from their restaurant. Thanks to Frank and the staff at Adagio for helping to make my birthday party a success. There were some hiccups in the beginning of the night, but Frank and his staff fixed them right away. Also, a strong recommendation is due to them because of the two gluten free meals they did for two family members of ours, even though we contracted with an outside caterer for the party. Their banquet hall is very spacious, well lit with a nice bar and dance floor. We will definitely keep them in mind for any other special events. read more

We are purchasers of Dream Come True fundraiser calendar that has a participating restaurant each month that offers a BOGO entree when you go during that month. We usually go with friends so the four of us go and we get one complimentary entree when we order. October's restaurant was Adagio. We went with another couple and will NEVER go again! We had one coupon for the four of us. One couple was handed a limited "special" menu for the Dream Come True coupon. The only thing that made it special was the prices were higher than their regular menu for the same items. Since we were four with only one coupon some of us wanted to order off the regular menu which is how we noticed. I asked if I could order off the regular menu if my husband ordered off the "special" menu and the waitress, Rita, who was nice but not helpful said she did not know. I asked to speak to a manager. We waited for over half and hour and no one came, Rita said the owner was on his way, RIGHT? We left without ordering. I think this is a disgrace and totally disrespectful to Dream Come True, a charity that does exceptional work. Adagio is the only restaurant with a different menu, and if that is their "dream" they should just say so on their coupon. Other restaurants have restrictions, and each was noted on their coupon. Advance notice is all we ask. The failure to even address the issue by a "manager" was incredibly rude and shows this restaurant is not an organization with whom a charity should associate. Loved this place! I was in the area and looked it up on google, for one the recommendation was accurate. The appetizers were delicious and enough to share. The medallion steak was unbelievable delicious and I was tempted to order one to go. The crab dip was for a change more crab and less dip. I highly recommend this little gem of a restaurant! I need to mention that our waitress Maria was super accommodating and made our experience a memorable one. We will definitely return again.
