The treatment my husband and I received at this Flaming Crab location on February 13, 2026 is irreparable We are not occasional guests. We are loyal patrons who have frequented this establishment for years and even chose this location to host our rehearsal dinner. Because of that history, what occurred during our recent visit was not only disappointing -- it was unacceptable. We visited to celebrate Valentine's Day. After being seated, I ordered a passion fruit mojito, a drink I have previously enjoyed at your restaurant. When it arrived, it was immediately clear that it had not been prepared properly. There was no muddled mint, virtually no mint flavor, minimal passion fruit taste, and an overwhelmingly sour profile dominated by lemon and lime. A single mint leaf floating against the glass does not constitute a properly prepared mojito. I informed our server that I did not like the drink and requested a different cocktail. I did not ask for a refund. I simply asked for a replacement. The manager approached our table and stated that refunds on drinks are not given. Again, I clarified that I was not seeking a refund -- only a different drink. What followed was a prolonged and unnecessary debate. The manager questioned whether anything was actually wrong with the drink, pointed to its color as proof that passion fruit was present, and suggested that if I did not like it, I could have a beer or soda instead. When I requested a margarita instead, I was told it would "taste the same," despite the clear and obvious difference between a rum-based cocktail and a tequila-based cocktail. The conversation became argumentative over a $10 drink -- something that should have been resolved in moments with a simple replacement. My husband, who owns a restaurant himself, attempted to explain that we had recently visited and I had received an excellent mojito made by a male bartender. The manager responded dismissively that there was no male bartender on staff. That was beside the point. The point was that the drink had previously been made correctly and this one was not. By the time the manager agreed to have another cocktail prepared, the experience had already been soured. We chose to leave rather than continue what should never have become a confrontation. In doing so, the restaurant lost the revenue from two full meals -- all over an issue that could have been resolved in seconds. When my husband, who owns a restaurant himself, explained that disputing a minor matter was costing the business far more than the drink itself, the manager stated he was "just doing what the owner told him to do." If this reflects ownership policy, it is a policy that prioritizes rigidity over hospitality and ultimately harms the business. A rigid, defensive approach over minor issues does not protect revenue -- it drives loyal customers away. Additionally, the tone and resistance we encountered left us uncomfortable and questioning whether assumptions were being made about us as customers. Whether intentional or not, I would also be remiss if I did not address how the interaction felt. Our waitress was great. We were there about 1pm and it was rather empty on a Saturday. The other patrons looked extremely pleased with their seafood boils. It's clean and cutely decorated with an ocean theme. The garlic bread appetizer was melt in your mouth perfect. The seafood po boy was on a very fresh bun and full of flavor. The onion rings I opted for were too hard, not tasty. My friend said her seafood Alfredo was good, a smaller portion, but nothing she would race back to try. Took my mom to eat some crab legs and went to Flaming Crab. The atmosphere was ok, and "sea themed" and it's not a fancy type of restaurant. We waited about 15 minutes to be seated and the waiter promptly greeted us and offered to go over the menu but we've been here plenty of times so we knew what we wanted. Got the special with crab legs and lobster tail. It was so good. Sometimes the potatoes can be a hit or miss, where they can be slightly undercooked, but they were actually good on this visit. Stopped in for Dinner. Open 7 days a week with plenty of seating available. Once seated we were brought complimentary Garlic Bread. We Ordered 1lb King Crab legs and a dozen clams with the Not Spicy Garlic Butter sauce. The Clams and Crab Legs were served on a metal platter which can be lit on fire . Great show to see. This is of course optional but should be experienced once. Our seafood was served with 2 Red Potatoes, 2 pieces of Corn on the Cob, a couple of Broccoli pieces and Lime slices. I usually love coming to Flaming Crab--the food is always good, and the vibe is right. But this last visit? It completely wrecked me. I had been ripping and running all day, only running on coffee and a snack bar, so this was my first real meal. It tasted great going down, but what happened after? Straight-up food poisoning. Terrible cramping, sweats, nausea--the whole nightmare. While eating, I even mentioned to my husband how hard it was to get the crab out of the shell and that it didn't seem as fresh, almost like it had been over-frozen before cooking. That should have been my red flag, but I ignored it and kept eating. Big mistake. Now it's 2 AM, and I'm still feeling the effects. Worst night ever. We debated getting a family meal but since we wanted different flavors, we each got our own meal. Everyone loved their dishes. I love how easily it is to get thru the crab legs. You barely need the nutcracker bc the meat pretty much falls out the shell. I love it. It was really busy so all the servers were pretty busy but we were never lacking a refill. This was our first experience here. Cute aesthetic and friendly staff. We started with the lobster bisque, definitely good. Then we did the lunch special....snow crab and mussels combo with the flaming special seasoning and the sausage and headless shrimp combo with the flaming special seasoning. Have been here a dozen times over the last three years. Food is always too notch, seafood is second to none. I always order the fried calamari appetizer. On the worst day it was an 8/10, most days 10/10. I order calamari appetizer whenever it's available on the menu if any place, and this place by far has some of THE best calamari appetizer around.. Be sure to ask for the sweet heat sauce to dip it. They usually give marinara sauce by default, but it doesn't do it justice. Go with the sweet heat! I have to admit, I stick with the seafood boil, so I can't comment on the many fried fish options, I've never had them. My go to is 1/2lb shrimp head off, 1/2lb green mussels, an extra potatoe, and mild / Cajun for the seasoning. Although on occasion it is a bit heavy on the salt, I've never had a single bad experience. Understand if you've never eaten fresh JUMBO sized mussels like these, they do have 'beards', and you have to be mindful to remove them if the kitchen prep missed them. It's just part of their way of attaching / anchoring as the grow, it's not harmful but terrible to try and chew and swallow. The mussels are out of this world, never sandy / gritty, and never fishy or off tasting. The shirmp. Ahh. I mean just wow. These are not frozen grocery store shrimp. Not by a long shot. They are just amazing, fresh, ZERO fish taste, deveined, shell on, but slide right off. If you're a shirmp fanatic, these will not disappoint. JUMBO sized, perfectly cooked every single time. I'm not a garlic fan, and lemon is not my thing either, so the Cajun seasoning option is my best bet and go to. I find the mild heat selection to be perfect. There's still some spice noted, it's not pure mild, but even stepping up to medium is quite a kick. I've never had the hot, but I hear it's pretty intense, and after A few moments you can't even taste any more, it's all about heat and pain. So I stick with mild I've also had the crab, and the lobster special as well. Both excellent. My friend I often go with prefers the crab and lobster over mussels, and raves every time about how this place sets a high bar that is tough to match anywhere else. Service is almost always on point. If you want a quiet, very quick and attentive service experience, go there on the weekend for lunch. We usually go around 12:00 on the weekend, and often we're either the only people, or maybe one or two other tables. The food comes out fast, very hot, and drink refills happen before you notice you needed one. If you're looking for seafood, and enjoy a good boil, this is 100% legit and will not disappoint! read more

Went to get some fish n chips here. Catfish vs tilapia: catfish pieces are thicker and felt less dry overall so I preferred it over the tilapia. Both were fries very well - not too much unnecessary batter but still crispy crunch when eaten Cajun fries: solid fries. You can see the spice on there but it's not super strong. Personal preference is a little stronger of a flavor Lobster bisque: almost no lobster pieces in there. Somewhat creamy but felt a little watery. If you're willing to spend the extra money I have not found a lobster bisque in the Lehigh area that beats blue grillhouse Overall solid food and a good close place for me for fish n chips. I was really in the mood for crabs and stopped in at this restaurant. When I arrived I parked in the plaza parking lot. I walked in and walked over to the bar to sit. Tara was my bartender and she was great. I started with the red sangria which she specially made and it was good. I then ordered the merlot. For my meal I got the Wednesday special of 1lb headless shrimp and 1/2lb snow crab with a side of noodles. When it came out it looked great. They even put it on fire for me which was cool. What a great restaurant! We first had this experience in Newark a while back, but didn't know of any restaurants in our area until Flaming Crab opened. The seafood boil experience is fun and delicious. You get to pick your seafood such as crab or shrimp, and you can add things like sausage. They all come with corn on the cob and potato. You pick your broth and your spice level, and everything comes to you as ordered. Then comes the best part, cracking and eating! You get plastic gloves so although its messy, cleanup is a breeze. The food here was excellent and perfectly prepared to order. You get a lot of food for the money. They took our temperature on arrival and enforce wearing a mask, so we felt very safe. Everything is served in throw away servingware, which you can use to take your leftovers home after you give up trying to stuff all that food down your throat. I highly recommend trying them. The service was good, food is fantastic, and the overall experience unique and fun. Just be aware they are in the shopping plaza with Hobby Lobby, two or three stores down. For some reason Waze took us a little off, and they are working with Google to fix that. read more

Finally stopped here and so glad we did! Very impressed with the decor, speed of service, friendly staff, and most importantly the FOOD! We both had weekend special. Definitely a great deal compared to most seafood places around. Nice amount of shrimp, an adequate sized portion of crab legs, and a smallish but nice lobster tail. 2 small potatoes, an ear of corn, and for health, a few sprigs of broccoli! I hen it came out I had the preconceived notion some of it would need to go home with me, but I don't need up stuffing my self instead. I had their special seasoning which was good but honestly really messy and overwhelmed the flavor of the seafood. Next time I'm going bare with garlic butter on the side. The other day, after flushing the toilet, I accidentally dropped a twenty dollar bill into the bowl and watched it disappear into the drain below. I felt upset and frustrated. However, it was nowhere near the frustration I felt paying $20 to the Flaming Crab seafood restaurant today at the end of my lunch visit. I walked in and asked for a table for one. The girl at the podium seemed surprised that I didn't want to sit at the bar. Upon sitting down, I was handed the two available menus. Before getting a chance to peruse them, the waitress appeared asking, very nicely, if I'd been there before (no) and if I had any questions about the menu (yes). She gave me the confusing rundown, but since I was only there for a quick, late lunch, I didn't linger. When she brought my water, I asked if the lobster bisque was thick. She said it was not and that I'd be better off with the chowder. I went with the recommendation. I also asked what seafood was in the Seafood Avocado Salad. I was told "shrimp, scallops, and crabmeat." I have had such salads before, and for $12 it sounded great. She brought my soup. It was decidedly NOT thick. Although the flavor was there, there was very little "stuff." Few potatoes, a bit of celery, an d only an inkling of clams. She asked what dressing I wanted for my salad. I asked for Russian/Thousand Island. She had never heard of such a thing. They only have balsamic vinaigrette, ranch, and blue cheese. I went with the last one. When she brought the salad I was dumbfounded. Three (medium, at best) boiled shrimp - obviously previously frozen, tail-on, with NO SEASONING at all. There were a few shreds of crabmeat - maybe 1-1/2 to 2 ounces complete with bits of cartilage. Scallops - no. None. Nada. I called her over and asked what happened to the scallops. "I might have made a mistake. Do you want me to ask the manager?" "Yes." (One minute later...) "I was wrong. There are scallops in the Seafood Avocado Po' Boy, but not the salad." ME: "Is this the normal amount of seafood?" "Yes." There was a decent pile of mostly baby spinach and some arugula. A few grape tomatoes and some cucumber slices. She also placed two cafeteria-style, plastic, commercial cups of blue cheese dressing (you know, peel off the top?) on the table with their never-ending list of chemical ingredients staring me in the face. Cheap, kitschy, anything-but-appetizing. No apologies, no offer to get something else, take it away, etc. She did, at least admit that she was at fault, but that's where it ended. I ate what was there because I was hungry, time was ticking away, and there was only the choice to leave it and go, which I didn't want to do. By the way, the dirty soup bowl remained on the table the whole time. When she finally came to retrieve it, she asked if things were good. I said, "No." She asked if there was any feedback I could give her. I could only say that it was less than satisfactory, that it was unremarkable (for which I later apologized knowing that I would remark online) and just landed on "disappointing all around." It wasn't what I was told I was getting and the quality was poor to fair. The presentation was childish. My ten-year-old daughter could have cobbled together a more appetizing salad. Overall: Stay away. Tremendous fail. No saving graces here. I paid $20 for about $3 worth of disgusting, unprofessional, unappetizing, garbage. read more

Service was prompt and friendly. Downside was only 3 beers on tap. Did have a few IPAs in bottles, but a cold draft would have been perfect. read more
