BEIGNETS to go with powdered sugar on the side
    Archie B.

I visited the restaurant for the first time on 4/9 with my best friend. The food was delicious. We were so stuffed from appetizers that we took most of our entrees home. For appetizers we ordered seafood gumbo, crawfish and cheese egg rolls, and bbq shrimp. Appetizers great portion and flavorful. For entrees we ordered the shrimp etouffee and the fried catfish platter with the vegetable of the day. Again delicious! The catfish was seasoned very well and crispy, loved it and the shrimp etouffee was flavorful with a hint of spice. I ordered beignets to go with the powdered sugar on the side. Service was great, the hostess was attentive, and the inside of the restaurant was very cute with a hint of New Orleans throughout. I would have loved to meet the chef, he or she did a wonderful job.

Was so happy upon returning to CrawDaddy's that they had the peach cobbler as last time they ran out and it was delicious. I started off with the bbq shrimp which was packed full of flavor that after finishing the shrimp I had a second roll just to keep eating the sauce. The stuffed mushrooms were huge and the pimento cheese on top was my favorite part of the dish. I had the fried chicken which was okay favorite. The last time we went my husband's dish looked amazing but lacked flavor so I mentioned this and boy did they add the heat. Overall our friend had the trio dish which was a great was to go getting a sample of a few things and ended up being the best dinner on the table.

Whew this place brings me back to New Orleans! So good! Plus the service was great. It's a nice touch for them to put a little sign with your name on the table and the table was all set up and ready to go (if you make reservations).

I'm so glad we finally came here for dinner last Friday! The interior was much different than I expected- I thought it'd be a super casual place that's more of a takeout (not sure why). But it was really nice/cute there with all the New Orleans decor. Our server was helpful and I appreciated her suggestions. They had this stuffed mushroom appetizer special and it was SO filling and good- LOVED the spice. Chargrilled oysters were absolutely delicious (my husband would have licked the plate if I'd let him lol). I love shrimp n grits so of course I went that. Hubs went with the crawfish ettoufe which he really enjoyed. It was a wonderful meal and we'll def be back!

We have been wanting to come here for a while and we're glad we ended up finally trying it! We went in and it was pretty crowded, they did ask if we had a reservation, but we were able to be seated right away without one. They gave us a bread basket with spiced butter and some olive spread. The olive spread was tasty and the butter was as well, but it would've been better if it was served warm. I had the shrimp poboy and cup of gumbo for dinner and it was amazing! I have a low spice tolerance, so it was a bit spicy, but so flavorful and yummy! My fiancé had the Nola trio which included jambalaya, etouffee, and rice with beans. All three of these dishes were bursting with flavor and absolutely amazing! For dessert, we had the bananas foster and this was tasty as well! We will be back again soon since there are so many other dishes we'd like to try!

After Crawdaddy's Cajun opened up about a mile from my house, it took me a lot longer than I'd like to admit to make it in. After a last minute decision and nothing to eat in my house, I finally made it in with my mom. I felt bad because we arrived a little on the later side but there were still two other tables who looked as if they arrived shortly before us. We were greeted by the hostess who also was our server. She was so nice and gladly answered all of our questions about the menu as this was really our first time having Cajun food. The decor was Louisiana and Marco Gras themed and fit vibe of the restaurant. We loved the olive spread that was served with bread before dinner and the Chicken / Andouille Sausage Jambalaya & Crawfish Etouffee were full of flavor. Portion sizes were huge as we both had leftovers at the end of our meal. I was a little disappointed in the greens as they were a little dryer than I'd prefer. There are numerous other items I'd like to try on their menu and our experience was very good, so I'll definitely be back again.

Everything about this restaurant was amazing! We had a party of five and they were extremely accommodating. Wait Staff was extremely attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The most authentic Louisiana style Cajun you will have anywhere in this state!! All the dishes were perfectly cooked and presented. Better than most restaurants we frequent in Baton Rouge. Highly recommend!

First time dining at this place and it was outstanding! I think we ordered half the menu!!! Service was amazing and very accommodating. The food just kept coming out and each was just delicious. We shared most with each other and there were 8 of us so we sampled alot of the menu. The Gumbo was so good I ordered some to go! I had the shrimp and grits, it was delicious! Hidden gem this place is.

Food was very good and authentic Louisiana cuisine the service was also very good the decor was thematic and prominent New Orleans. We had oysters and barbecue shrimp, fried catfish and fried green tomatoes. All winners but the beignets were delicious I can't believe they got them right If you want good Louisiana cooking try them out. Oh and the owner is a gem..

I hosted 100 people for a surprise birthday party and everyone in attendance pretty much complimented the food. The two staff members working my event couldn't have been nicer, friendlier, accommodating, and down to earth; they even needed to help trick the birthday boy as he approached the establishment for his event, they did AWESOME and we had some good chats and laughs in between. It rained off and on the day of my event and the covered awning on the truck came in super handy and made the bouts of rain that came and went that make easier to manage. We had no idea what we were in for ...wow!! We ordered separate bbq brisket (not as a sandwich, we wanted to focus on the meat) and a side of Mac and cheese and bbq beans. Wow, the brisket was the best bbq brisket I had eaten anywhere. Until today, the best I had eaten was in Texas and in Maine. It was so moist, flavorful, rich melt in your mouth brisket deliciousness ... with a perfectly paired horseradish bbq sauce on the side. Everything is clearly homemade with lots of experience and love...A heavenly brisket for sure!! The bbq beans with a variety of beans and chunks of beef that was also absolutely delicious and a standalone meal ... best beans anywhere with regard to flavor, spice, bean variety, texture and sauce ratio. And finally, the Mac and cheese was perfect, not too salty and more like the Jamaican macaroni pie ... crispy on the outside, great cheese quality, and perfectly salted wothoit being greasy. It paired perfectly with the flavorful moist meat and beans!! I returned to share my gratitude to the incredible chef du jour, Freddie. Set in the center of a quiet shopping center, I HAD to post this review because I need people to know this exists. While I was expecting typical guacamole, tacos, chimichangas, and burritos, this was NOT that. The menu gives off an upscale Mexican vibe that is completely unexpected. The dining area is much larger than we realized upon entering the restaurant. We were given homemade chips with salsa and salsa verde. We started with the queso with chorizo. It arrived in a little skillet with soft tortillas for dipping. The dip was basically all cheese and chorizo. It needed to be lifted or pinched into the tortilla and was not dippable. I wasn't a huge fan of this, but this was the only thing I didn't love. I then did the roasted beets with cream cheese, avocado, pistachio, jalapeños, and fig reduction. This was out of this world with fresh ingredients and an amazing blend of flavors. For my entree I did the Pollo Poblano which was thinly sliced chicken breasts with roasted poblano peppers, cheese, crab, and a tequila cream sauce. It didn't come with any sides so I did the rice and beans. The rice was creamy and had bits of corn and herbs. It was almost like a risotto. The refried beans were black beans rather than your typical pinto beans. My bff had the veal enchiladas and said they were okay, but I didn't try them to give a full synopsis. We were too full to do dessert, but I had this chicken 4 days ago and I am still fantasizing about it. I need to go back. Definitely check this place out!
