1st time. Thought I'd try something different on Saturday. This I found on Yelp as I'm not from the area. When you pull in the parking lot. It looks like a huge range style home. But walking in is a very clean family owned restaurant. They using a Louisiana theme. The menu is Louisiana style food. The bread was good but come out cold. If it was warm. I think that would be voted best bread. Devil crab was slightly salty and not much lumps of crab as the menu said. The fried shrimp/hush puppies was cooked perfectly. The shrimp were huge. The greens were tasty and had a little Louisiana kick to them. The mash potatoes came out on the cool side. There's light music in the air while eating. Seems family owned and operated I can see this place being busy. Locals, businesses, people like me looking for something different. They seat large parties as well. And single party of 1. I heard a lot about this place so I wanted to check it out. We stopped by on a Friday afternoon around 3:00 pm. I loved the fact the restaurant had parking and upon entering the establishment, there was plenty of seating in the dining room. Thus, we were started promptly and given menus. We decided to go with the chargrilled oysters and hush puppies for our appetizers. For entrees we had the catfish, which came with greens, grits and crawfish gravy + the shrimp etouffee. Our appetizers were a great way to start the dining experience. The oysters were large and fresh from the grill. We enjoyed the hint of lemon, cheese and butter used to flavor the oysters. The hush puppies were delicious too. They were not too sweet or salty. We enjoyed the balance of the cornmeal with the other ingredients. Next up, our entrees. My catfish was very fresh. It was pipping hot, which I love. The greens were a combination of collard, turnips and mustard greens. I loved the flavor, but wish they were warmer. My grits were not good at all. I opted to have my crawfish gravy on the side bc I love grits enough to eat them solo. Well, these grits were very lumpy and cold. I imagine the chef was relying on the gravy to be used for "loosen" or even heat up the grits. While I loved my fish and the flavor of the greens, both of my sides were room temperature in comparison to my fish. I was a little sad that happened. My partner liked his shrimp etouffee. He said it was pipping hot and full of fantastic flavors. The portion sizes for entrees were generous. I had leftovers for the next day. I visited the restaurant for the first time on 4/9 with my best friend. The food was delicious. We were so stuffed from appetizers that we took most of our entrees home. For appetizers we ordered seafood gumbo, crawfish and cheese egg rolls, and bbq shrimp. Appetizers great portion and flavorful. For entrees we ordered the shrimp etouffee and the fried catfish platter with the vegetable of the day. Again delicious! The catfish was seasoned very well and crispy, loved it and the shrimp etouffee was flavorful with a hint of spice. I ordered beignets to go with the powdered sugar on the side. Service was great, the hostess was attentive, and the inside of the restaurant was very cute with a hint of New Orleans throughout. Was so happy upon returning to CrawDaddy's that they had the peach cobbler as last time they ran out and it was delicious. I started off with the bbq shrimp which was packed full of flavor that after finishing the shrimp I had a second roll just to keep eating the sauce. The stuffed mushrooms were huge and the pimento cheese on top was my favorite part of the dish. I had the fried chicken which was okay favorite. The last time we went my husband's dish looked amazing but lacked flavor so I mentioned this and boy did they add the heat. I'm so glad we finally came here for dinner last Friday! The interior was much different than I expected- I thought it'd be a super casual place that's more of a takeout (not sure why). But it was really nice/cute there with all the New Orleans decor. Our server was helpful and I appreciated her suggestions. They had this stuffed mushroom appetizer special and it was SO filling and good- LOVED the spice. Chargrilled oysters were absolutely delicious (my husband would have licked the plate if I'd let him lol). I love shrimp n grits so of course I went that. We have been wanting to come here for a while and we're glad we ended up finally trying it! We went in and it was pretty crowded, they did ask if we had a reservation, but we were able to be seated right away without one. They gave us a bread basket with spiced butter and some olive spread. The olive spread was tasty and the butter was as well, but it would've been better if it was served warm. I had the shrimp poboy and cup of gumbo for dinner and it was amazing! I have a low spice tolerance, so it was a bit spicy, but so flavorful and yummy! My fiancé had the Nola trio which included jambalaya, etouffee, and rice with beans. All three of these dishes were bursting with flavor and absolutely amazing! For dessert, we had the bananas foster and this was tasty as well! After Crawdaddy's Cajun opened up about a mile from my house, it took me a lot longer than I'd like to admit to make it in. After a last minute decision and nothing to eat in my house, I finally made it in with my mom. I felt bad because we arrived a little on the later side but there were still two other tables who looked as if they arrived shortly before us. We were greeted by the hostess who also was our server. She was so nice and gladly answered all of our questions about the menu as this was really our first time having Cajun food. The decor was Louisiana and Marco Gras themed and fit vibe of the restaurant. We loved the olive spread that was served with bread before dinner and the Chicken / Andouille Sausage Jambalaya & Crawfish Etouffee were full of flavor. Portion sizes were huge as we both had leftovers at the end of our meal. I was a little disappointed in the greens as they were a little dryer than I'd prefer. Appetizers were absolutely amazing! But the meals fell so short. We tried the soup, crawfish egg rolls, and their bread was so flavorful and was beyond excited for all the dinner dishes. Ugh, the dinner dishes were quite bland. The etouffe veggies were undercooked and the Cajun flavor just was not present. They did load it with a ton of crawfish though. The crawfish Mac was not cheesy nor creamy. Again, it was loaded with seafood, but they needed salt, seasoning, anything. Banana fosters dessert was decent. Been meaning to write this review for a while as it is well deserved! We've had many hit or miss dining experiences in Medford, but now we've found our go to spot! Our first time here was for their Mardi Gras dining event earlier this March--incredible. Everything we ate was amazing! Fortunately for us the other couple we came with also ordered their own dishes from each course, so we got to sample everything they offered it seemed like. The place was packed, everyone came dressed for the Mardi Gras occasion, and the staff were fantastic. We'll be back for sure, especially next year for Mardi Gras. read more

We went here for a friend's birthday. It was around lunch time on the weekend, so it was pretty empty. Service was great, though. The server was very attentive for our largish party. The food was ok. Some things were very good and others could have used a little more seasoning. We enjoyed the hushpuppies and the catfish and greens were really tasty. The fried green tomato caprese tower was an interesting take and was a good appetizer. I felt like the crawfish gravy really needed some seasoning, as did the dirty rice, which I did not really care for. Others enjoyed most of their meals as well. Outstanding! Our first visit after talking about going for a long time. We went at noon on a Friday, there were several people waiting for takeout and one table full. There are at least 15 tables, not big and fills up fast at dinner time. The friendly hostess recommends reservations just to be safe. Service was quick and everyone was extremely accommodating. You get free bread w butter (I've read other reviews about the rolls not being warm, wasn't a big deal, it's free). We ordered the crawfish clams casino, hush puppies, crawfish po boy w gumbo, crawfish etoufee and beignets. Everything was served hot and delicious, big portions - we took half of it home for dinner. The beignets were solid inside unlike any we've ever had before, thought they would be hallow, still ate all 3. Its BYOB, jazz music playing and you can pay by phone via QR code on the bill. The owner, Debbie, and her staff are so friendly and make you feel right at home. Some friends and I recently flew up from Nashville and couldn't get over how delicious everything was, from the gator bites and chargrilled oysters, to the fried green tomato caprese stack, deviled crab, crawfish etoufee and egg rolls!!! I also had one of their specials, the French Quarter Dip sandwich, which was WOW!! Being an original Jersey girl, I can say hands down it was the best French dip with au jus I've ever eaten (and that's saying a lot coming from the diner capital). Went for my birthday dinner January 11. Lovely atmosphere - delicious food! I had the shrimp etoufee and I enjoyed it immensely. Very generous portions; plenty of shrimp! Beignets were hot and fresh. The "hostess" acted like we were putting her out. I ordered the crawfish etouffee it had no seasoning and was cold. My friend ordered the bowl of seafood gumbo which had no description on the menu other than "seafood gumbo bowl" and was delivered with a pike of rice in the middle of it (she can't eat rice). The restaurant was empty but for 2 other customers and we found the service was extremely slow. There will be no return visit. read more

My husband and I went tonight for the first time for their Mardi Gras dinner. From salads, to appetizers to entrees everything was excellent. Delicious shrimp Po'boy! Reminded us of being back in New Orleans!

We went to Crawdaddy's Cajun restaurant on a Thursday at about 430. They do not have a liquor license so we had a drink at another restaurant before and brought a bottle of wine with us. There was only one other table occupied in the restaurant. Which is basically four top tables. The hostess was very friendly. We were seated immediately, and after we looked at the menu our order was taken. After she took our order, we were brought three regular dinner rolls with some type of seasoned butter, which was frozen, and some relish. I started off with a cup of Gumbo, it was served to me before my husband's appetizer which he ordered a half a dozen raw oysters and a half a dozen raw clams. I was going to wait for his appetizer to be served, but he told me to go ahead and eat mine before it got cold. The soup was barely warm to begin with, but it did have a lot of ingredients, it was flavorful and just spicy enough. When he got his oysters and clams, they were definitely not anything to rave about. $18 for a half a dozen oysters and $12 for a half a dozen very small clams. I had ordered the Muffoletta for my entrée and he ordered the fried oyster po boyHe told me his po boy was good. Both sandwiches came with fries. They were good. I definitely was not happy with my muffuletta In order to be Muffuletta you have to have the traditional round bread. This was basically just a hoagie roll . There was the relish on the top which I can't really say was an olive relish and meat and cheese underneath. I was disappointed in my Muffuletta because as far as I was concerned, it was just a sandwich with relish. Would we recommend, maybe. Will we return, maybe. We live just a short way away from the restaurant and perhaps the next time we will try one of their dishes rather than sandwiches. read more
