We were on vacation and had planned a dinner out with friends to celebrate our daughter's birthday…read more We initially stopped by a hibachi steakhouse, but after being seated, we waited 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. When the waitress finally arrived, she mentioned she was the only one working and implied that the slow service would continue throughout the evening. Thankfully, my husband quickly looked up another local spot, and that's when we found Captain Krab Cajun Seafood & Boil--what a blessing! Not only did we enjoy incredible food and exceptional service, but both the server and the owner went above and beyond to make our daughter's birthday truly special. We were treated to fresh, delicious seafood, a sparkler candle dessert, a plush gift for the birthday girl, and even a light-up birthday sign! We felt like part of their family. We ordered oysters, clam chowder, boiled eggs, baby clams, and snow crab legs--everything was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. You can even customize your meal by choosing from four different seasonings and five levels of spiciness, which makes it ideal for families or groups with mixed tastes. One of the most fun parts? You can write on the walls, tables, and even the ceiling! They also have a claw machine for the kids (and kids at heart). We'll absolutely be back next time we're in town! P.S. It's BYOB!

The menu is fantastic -- there's something for every palate! They offer a nice selection of New Orleans-inspired dishes along with plenty of other delicious-sounding options. The atmosphere is lively and has a welcoming local vibe. The parking lot was packed when we arrived, and there was an event happening in their back party room, yet we were seated right away. The owner, Brian, is very hands-on and makes a point to visit each table, which is such a nice touch. I had the jambalaya, and it was excellent! I'm already looking forward to going back and trying more from the menu. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

Black linen tablecloths, beads on the tables, candlelight and a festive Mardi Gras vibe throughout. I sat in the dining area, many people came for the bar while I was there. The waiter was excellent. I asked for recommendations and he told me a few, shared about the special and shared the daily sides. He checked on me often enough, but didn't overdo it. Very professional. I ordered the Mardi Gras Shrimp and Crawfish with rice. There was plenty of protein in the dish - it also includes sausage and the cream sauce was amazing. I loved it. I also ordered a cup of red beans and rice to go to enjoy tomorrow for lunch. The house salad is pretty basic, but the housemade cajun ranch dressing is delicious. Order it! Note I did order my salad with no tomato. I was also offered bread service but declined. I would definitely come back again - would love to try a blackened seafood dish.

Hands down, this is the BEST Southern restaurant in the area... by far. Honestly, I don't even know…read morewhere to begin. I'm from New York, and my sister moved to Pennsylvania, so she introduced me to this spot. Now every single time I visit her, I somehow end up right back here because the food is just that good. They used to have a second location that closed, but honestly, it doesn't even matter because this one was always my favorite, the food here is on another level. We always start with the Brussels sprouts, the fried green tomatoes, or the hush puppies. You simply cannot go wrong with any of them. The appetizers are always hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. And then there's the mac and cheese... absolutely to die for. Even the children's mac and cheese is ridiculously good. Creamy, cheesy, comforting, exactly how mac and cheese should be. Their salads deserve their own shoutout too. The goat cheese salad with pickled eggs is perfection, and the Caesar with cornbread croutons? Genius. It's the kind of detail you don't expect but end up craving every time you think about it. But of course, the real star of the entire place is the cornbread. Truly heavenly. They serve it warm, and the whipped butter melts right into it, it's honestly dangerous how good it is. I could eat the entire dish by myself without hesitation. The service is always great, quick, friendly, and welcoming. It's one of those places where the vibes feel just as good as the food tastes. On weekends, it does get packed, so making a reservation is probably a smart idea. All in all, I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. The food, the atmosphere, the consistency, everything hits. I will always come back whenever I'm in the area, and yes... mostly because the cornbread is truly that good.
