4/19/2026 Well. . . I just had to come back to this beautiful place even though it's almost an hour away from where I live. My brother and sister in law have raved about this brunch and it IS rave worthy!! So yesterday was my day! We were seated at a table that was wobbling like nobody's business. That's one thing I can't stand! We brought it to our server, Bella's, attention and she promptly assisted us and stabilized the table. During the course of our brunch the manager (I presume) also checked in to make sure our table was cooperating (which it was). Bella provided great service to us. I really enjoyed the offerings at this wonderful brunch! My sister in law made a reservation and I'm glad she did. Not long after we were seated the place started to get busy. I thought the food quality and presentation was top notch! Some of the offerings were prime rib, roasted turkey, omelette made to order, oysters Rockefeller- giant shrimp cocktail, salads, pasta, chicken divan, lox, bagels and a dessert emporium that will rock your world! That's only some of the offerings. So many choices you will find a lot to enjoy here for even the most picky palate! I enjoyed the prime rib especially. The young man slicing it was very pleasant (so sorry did not get his name) and it was tender and so freaking delicious. I enjoyed that immensely! The icing on the cake though was that delicious creamy horseradish sauce! WOW! Also I loved the tortellini with sun-dried tomatoes and spinach in a cream sauce- so rich and decadent. Another item I had to try was the eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was probably the best I've ever had. It is rich but had a nice lemony finish. I tried several other tasty items including the fresh and flavorful shrimp cocktail. I was truly happy with the entire experience. For 45$ you are getting the world. That's rare today! Included in the price is coffee, tea and soft drinks- that's another big plus for me! I hate when restaurants try to nickel and dime for soft drinks etc. Not here! They also offer 5$ mimosas and Bloody Mary's. My husband enjoyed his Bloody Mary. I would definitely come back in a heart beat! Sonia was very pleasant too, she was restocking the side room with offerings. We had a pleasant conversation. *** oh*** one other thing I failed to mention- when I was there, the buffet was in pristine condition throughout the experience. I've been to other places where the buffet looks great in the beginning but then, as time passes it starts to look sloppy with food splatter, looks picked over, and food items nearly empty. Went back to Westside Grill for dinner and it was just wonderful. In my opinion, this is the best steakhouse in the entire Lehigh Valley. The restaurant is decorated really nice and the staff aims to please. Our waitress, Isabella, was so pleasant and accommodating. I didn't include any pictures since I was so busy enjoying the food. The Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly and delicious. And there are a number of sauces you can order with it. All their steaks come with sides, unlike a lot of the other steakhouses in the area. The salads, soups and apps are all so good. I will be back whenever I can. read more

This place was the spot. I ordered the 32oz tomahawk steak for 2. It came with asparagus and mashed potatoes. As an add-on, I also asked for the red wine demi glaze. The asparagus was thicker than I prefer but it was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Sometimes thicker stalks become stringy. Not these. The mashed potatoes on their own were good, but I took it to the next level adding in some of the demi glaze and they were absolute perfection. Creamy, buttery, and rich. Of course the main event - the tomahawk steak. As you should, I order this steak rare. The outside had a perfect char. Where the fat rendered tasted like a crispy bacon. The whole steak was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. It didn't NEED a sauce, but the glaze complimented the flavors perfectly. My only critique here is how loud the place was. It was a bustling night and if you are going for a quiet intimate spot, this may not be for you. However, the atmosphere was buzzing, the restaurant is beautiful, and the service is on point. My girlfriend and I had wanted to visit Westside Grill for some time and we finally got the chance. Adjoined to the Hyatt, the restaurant is spotless and welcoming with great seating for guests. The bar also has that open and comforting feeling. But this place has an exceptional hostess and they all work seamlessly with each other. For instance, I saw no busing personnel, but the hostesses would clear tables with nary a sound and at lightning speed. The servers are knowledgable, professional, and genuinely kind. Pamela, our server, helped guide us through our drink, meal, and dessert choices and all of her recommendations were stellar. Pamela presented us with warm sourdough bread, with warm butter at the start. For the first time since I visited Alaska in 1989, I finally had outstanding sourdough that lived up to its name. Right then, I knew we were in for something special. My Grey Goose martini with fresh blue cheese stuffed olives was exceptional. The ahi tuna appetizer was flawless with excellent cuts of tuna. My scallops over pureed sweet potatoes was fantastic. The scallops were tender and flavorful. My girlfriend ordered the turkey pot pie, which was absolutely delicious (and she had enough for the next day). The dark chocolate brownie with ice cream for dessert really hit the spot. Absolutely rich and satisfying without being overly sweet. My Irish coffee with Jameson was perfect. Reservations recommended because the Westside Grill gets packed. Food was delicious. Portions were perfect. We ordered the filet (cooked perfectly with a delicious sear) with lump crab cake (excellent). We also had the "bar bite" steak sandwich au jus - I will 100% return just for that sandwich. The flavor was incredible. We shared a dessert. Thank goodness we shared it, it was huge. Was staying at the Hyatt and decided to try this place after a long day of travel from California. Tried the Double lamb chops and some Chicken wings. Food was good and very convenient on a cold day without having to leave the hotel for dinner. Good service and ambience as well. Food and service were not up to snuff. The server neglected to bring the ordered glass of wine --twice. The opening bread was outstanding, but it was downhill from there. My Caesar salad was fine but my friend's beet salad was more lettuce than beets. I ordered the mushroom ravioli which was so rich I could hardly eat it--the mushrooms were just in the cream sauce, not part of the ravioli, which were just filled with cheese. My friend had Linguini Bolognese -- which she also said was extremely rich, tasty, but overly rich. At the end of our meal, the drunks had come out for their dinner and were extremely loud in their conversation. We won't be back. read more

We went for dinner last evening with a friend. My wife and I have enjoyed Westside Grill in the past. We arrived 10 minutes early for our 4:30 reservation, we went to the lounge . After being seated and ordering appetizers , entree's and bottle wine . Our entrees came out. Their was no Tarragon in the béarnaise. Sauce for the filet. Asked the waitress to ask the chef, she returned with chef said it's in there recipe but couldn't find any in the kitchen. I'm sorry there are grocery stores close by. It was early evening , very dissatisfying. Sauce was heavy with lemon and chopped parsley in it. Didn't go with the filet mignon . We would of ordered something else. I was in the area to do some holiday things with my family. We stayed at the Hyatt House. It was great that the Westside Grill was apart of the hotel. We went there to eat on our last night. The food was great. The ambience was great. The waiters were great. It was an all-around great experience. I wish I hadn't jumped on my food so quickly because I forgot to take pictures, but everything was great. I had the salmon dish, my husband had the New York strip steak and lobster and my children had the chicken fingers and mac n cheese. For the appetizers, we chose the steak tips as well as the bang bang shrimp. All of it was delicious. I also had the apple cinnamon drink, which was very good and is the only picture that I took. I'm baffled by the glowing reviews for this place. Was there with a group of friends for Sunday brunch, and everything was bland and tasteless. I left 90% of what I got from the buffet on my plate because it was awful - even the bacon was nasty, that takes real talent! - and that was the consensus of all of my friends, too. Our waiter was a nice guy, but didn't provide nearly the level of service we should have gotten for the automatic $9 gratuity added to our bills because there were 6 of us. He brought us our hot beverages in paper cups like we were at Wawa and never came back to ask if we needed refills, and didn't even remove our plates when we were finished, we ended up putting them on the empty table next to ours. There were no napkins at the table when we arrived so we had to scavenge them from neighboring tables, and no spoons anywhere to be found. Plus we were seated next to a large party who had a child who SHRIEKED every few minutes, which is not the restaurant's fault but put another nail in the coffin of our impressions of the place. The bill came to almost $57 and I was still so hungry when we left that I had to stop for a snack on the way home. Won't be back. read more

So, the food is overpriced and not tasty!!! I stay at the hotel--which is nice and reasonable. It's super convenient to have a restaurant on-site and while I have had some truly mediocre meals here in the past, it is convenient if not overpriced, tonight was review necessary. In general, The mixed drinks are pricey but decent. Wine selection is way overpriced and they offer lousy reds. Service is friendly but very slow. I came in this evening around 7PM just wanting a glass of wine and a quick bite. I ordered and a glass of wine. It and water was delivered quickly. The bar plate chicken quesadilla came out 35 minutes after I ordered it and was 90% peppers with a little bit of onion and minimal chicken (maybe a fifth a cup of chicken diced in the whole thing). It was accompanied by brown coated guacamole, sour cream, and no salsa. Ok, call me a food snob but the smattering of orangey congealed cheese food on it had no flavor. I asked for a fresher guac. They took it to the back, mixed it up in its container and sent its brownish mess back out to me. I wasn't born yesterday! Yes, I am the daughter of a restaurant owner. Sent it back. The next quesadilla came out with cut up chicken breast, a smattering of orangey tasteless cheese food and Walmart quality salsa on the side. You need to take this off your menu or up your game. It's a disgrace! This is not a chain bar restaurant. I feel bad for your server. She ended up bringing onion soup. Good! Cheese quality poor. read more

Service was excellent, our waitress was attentive yet not intrusive. Loved the atmosphere, however it was very loud for the amount of tables in the main room. The bread was incredible, but I was also starving as I didn't eat anything all day. The chicken wings were crispy as requested, supposed to be honey hot, but did not seem to have barely any sauce on them. Asked for a tossed salad, literally 1 grape tomato sliced in half, and 2 tiny cucumbers with a bunch of carrot sticks and greens. This was ala carte so not happy I paid extra for basically just a plate of lettuce. Husband got the linguine bolognese, it was $29 and was not very much on the plate. He said it tasted good though. I got the shrimp and scallop scampi. Seafood was very over cooked, scallops were so rubbery I had a hard time cutting them. The sauce was extremely salty as well. Hubby also got the crème brulee which he said was outstanding. The couple who sat at the next table which is kinda very close together both got steaks and they looked phenomenal however I would never pay almost $60 for one piece of meat. I know it's a hotel and all, but if you're going to charge the amounts you are, ALL the food better be remarkable. This review is related to the Easter buffet at the Westside Grill. Price wise it seemed reasonable per adult. The quality of the food did not come close to the price paid. Numerous food offerings were dry both in appearance and in texture. The freshest station was the omelet station. The "pasta station" contained only rigatoni, which appeared dry. Carving station contained beef and what looked like an over cooked ham. Fish offerings included salmon which was edible as well as Mango Mahi Mahi which was surprisingly dry. Asparagus was tasteless. Chicken and turkey was available with both dishes having sauce. Even though there were numerous desserts, basically all were dry. Understandable as they were all set out in the open with no plastic wrap to keep them a little air tight. Our server was attentive. Going forward I feel the Easter buffet was not worth the money. read more

I sent them back and the chef sent them out with grill marks 2 minutes later still raw and hard. This restaurant is too expensive for them to have all these bad food experiences. To the owner of West side Grille, my husband really wanted to suprise me for Valentines day with a special dinner he made reservations way ahead of time and requested a booth. When we arrive we notice that staff in front was not welcoming at all that was number one, number two we were seated all the way in the back with a semi booth as if we were part of the Rosa Parks crew at the back of the bus right next to the kitchen the only ambiance we had was your staff looking back and forth in out the kitchen. The table that was so wobbily that the waitress had to put card board under the table to make it steady instead of accomadating us with another table.There was no ambiance of celebration in this place. The food was bland and the whole time we were on the back of the bus with not a whole booth but a semi booth no candle lit as we notice every table had one, when we ask the waitress what happen to our candle we were told that they had ran out of candles. There was a another family seated in the back and it seem they had a birthday at the table which they had to sing happy birthday on there own. The whole moral to the story is the $200 that we spend you should be invested on training your staff On hospitality because clearly there was no hospitality not even from the manager. I put a one star on this review because I had no choice it should be a 0. There's always room for improvement, I will never step foot in that place again to see them improve. if that ever becomes a thing at Westside Grille. PS.Your establishment has to do better!!! Went tonight to celbrate my birthday and took friends with us. From the moment our server Mary met with us the fun never stopped. It was their first time there and Mary was very helpful with ideas from apps to dessert. I wanted to try Berry-Jito that I saw on their website Wow it was fantastic. From the appetiziers to our scallops, burgers and the turkey pot pie (if you haven't had it you need to) not one person dissappointed in their meal. Very disappointed, it was a birthday celebration for a friend. We've never been before, and the atmosphere is stunning and our server Kim was great! The food, however, was subpar at best. We ordered the Turkey Meatball appetizer, everything was cold. It's very unlike me to send food back, they sent a new order, which unfortunately wasn't any better, still cold. I wasn't about to send it back a second time. Our entre was the paella, sadly the clams/mussels were way overcooked, the shrimp was perfect but the rice portion was salty beyond belief and couldn't be eaten. We picked the chicken out, I do not recommend that. We did end on a good note, dessert was quite nice. First time here... we had a reservation and were seated immediately. The server was very friendly, busy, but attentive and prompt. Almost all of the tables were full. The bar was also full. I wanted to try a few appetizers however I wanted to eat my whole dinner so I skipped the app. I did indulge in the bread and butter before dinner. Hubby ordered the bang bang shrimp, which he said was just OK. I tried it and agreed. He had been craving a burger so that's what he ended up getting and really liked it, and I had the scallops. They were absolutely delicious. They were served with veggies and a mix of potato and cauliflower mashed "potatoes". I loved them! We didn't have time for dessert as we were going to a show afterwards. Oh, the drinks were yummy! They have app and drink specials at the bar on Fridays-was advised to check the website for details. Actually 4.5 stars would be a more accurate rating. There is so much to like about this wonderful addition to the Lehigh County "dining scene." I am tempted to rate it five stars, however, I think a few things will likely improve as they are open for a longer period of time. Their wine list is fabulous. My husband was very pleased to find a bottle of "Stag's Leap Artemis" ... his favorite. I spent a good bit of time perusing the specialty cocktail menu. A note for martini fans: they have blue cheese stuffed olives! The bread tasted like sourdough- I was very hungry so I wasn't totally sure. The presentation of the bread and the butter was first- class. Also, bottled water was served and left on the table. A glass bottle (not plastic). This was an especially nice touch especially with minimizing contact with others' handling diners' drink glasses, etc. There were a variety of both hot and cold appetizer options. Additionally, homemade soups and unique salads with chef-made dressings made it difficult to decide - that wasn't a negative at all. My husband had the house salad with Parmesan-peppercorn. I chose the classic wedge with blue cheese. The tomatoes were very fresh and the lettuce was crisp and plentiful. For my main course, I had the braised short ribs with asparagus. My husband selected a New York strip with an addition looser tail (cold water). We decided to share mashed potatoes and creamed spinach as sides. I had read several reviews that mentioned how delicious the spinach was. It sure lived up to the hype! The mashed potatoes tasted perfect. Just needed a bit of seasoning. His steak was prepared perfectly and the presentation was very appealing. The short ribs looked very good. In my opinion, they needed just a bit more flavor. They were tender and pretty lean for that cut of meat which was especially nice. My husband had dessert. It looked decadent. The dessert menu had a nice variety of sweets and treats to choose from. HUGE SCAM AND DISAPPOINTMENT!!! I booked a reservation for 3 people weeks ago for this Mother's Day on Open Table. Nowhere did they say the menu would not be available and instead they are doing a bland cafeteria style buffet in the breakfast area and lobby for $60pp!!! When I mentioned this to the waitress, she said it was on their social media and they should have told me when they confirmed. 1) That is crazy, who checks social media of a restaurant. 2) I then checked their Facebook and there was no mention of this buffet scam. 3) They called me to confirm and did not mention this buffet. The buffet was very very sad. For example, they had omelets and bagels for a mother's day dinner. Cleary this was not popular as the restaurant was empty. I feel totally scammed and that this is taking advantage of people. $200 for 3 people for a generic cafeteria buffet. My college dining hall was better. Probably worth about $20-25 per person. PS: both my wife and I had belly pains after and needed to get to a bathroom Obviously, I would not recommend a restaurant that does this. Why do restaurants to Prix Fixe or Buffets for special events?!?! Nobody likes this. It is taking advantage of people. This restaurant intentionally misled us. A friend of ours booked her wedding at the event space in this hotel and she said the food was very good at the restaurant. So we decided to give it a try because we were in the mood for a nice dinner, we left very impressed. The Westside Grill is the restaurant located in the ground floor of the new Hyatt House and Hyatt place hotel near the new Air Products headquarters. Generally I don't expect much from restaurants located in hotels, but this place was the exception to that rule. The restaurant has that classic swanky feel to it, it reminds me of an old school steakhouse. You know the type that has not changed since the 70s. Dark wood, leather, and the wait staff in the white button downs. The menu here is primary that of a steak house, but because they are located in a hotel they also have a little bit of everything else. This place is on the expensive side if you get steak and all the sides are À la carte. We decided on the Steak and salmon. We also got a bunch of sides. The steak was so tender that you did not need a knife to cut it. The salmon is among the better ones that I have ever had. The Brussel sprouts were very good and the sweet potato fries were the best that I have ever had, but the potatoes au gratin were disappointing, skip those if you go there. The service was great, our server was so nice and sweet that I wished she would wait on us where ever we go. The manager also came around a few times to check on us so that was nice. Overall a very impressive dining experience that I recommend to anyone looking for a fine dining in the Allentown area. read more

My wife and I came in nine minutes before the kitchen closed. We were warmly greeted and given the time to peruse an interesting menu. My wife went with the mushroom ravioli and I ordered the turkey pot pie(it's important to note here--I ordered this at her request). David, our waiter, was outstanding. Kind, funny, and more than happy to accommodate two out-of-towners who slipped in at the tail end of what I'm sure was a long night...David is reason enough to return here. But the food! I'd no intention of ordering a turkey pot pie. I'd wanted the mushroom ravioll, but again, I was following my wife's instructions. Man. It was all kinds of aces. We split an order of the bang bang shrimp and both had a 7 ounce fillet. They were cooked to our order and very tender. I got the Gorgonzola sauce for mine and while it was tasty, it was a bit watery. I had a couple of glasses of the cab and my wife a Grey Goose and soda. The side of brussels sprouts with bacon bits was also delicious. We then split the crème brûlée for dessert and my wife had a coffee with a dollop of ice cream in it. She loved it. Our server was excellent and attentive and the overall atmosphere was nice. I would recommend they do something about softening the room for noise. It had the sound of a cafeteria as voices carried and constant clanking of dishes. Wood floors, marble tables and no acoustic tiles on the ceiling. It loses points on atmosphere compared to the other two high end steak places in the area (Top Cut and Three Oak). Would definitely return and recommend. read more

The scene was hopping at 8 pm which surprised us- the hotel and restaurant seem very new and off the beaten path. The food was great. Good crowd. We had Brunch at the Westside Grill today. We had over 20 in our party and celebrating a special occasion. Everyone made it a perfect day. Eileen , the mgr, couldn't have been nicer in accommodating what I was asking. We had a great spot In the Restaurant and although we could decorate as we pleased it wasn't necessary since everything is done so beautiful already. Our Waiter was the best, David was so attentive to us. He was on top of everything we asked for with no hesitation. He was great!! The food was delicious. There were so many choices. Came for a Sunday brunch. I think it was $5 Bloody Mary or Mimosa. Brunch buffet - they had the standard contiental stuff, variety of breakfast, seafood and lunch fare. Quick bite to eat, my wife and I headed to the bar on 1/19/24 Saturday night. We ordered the spinach artichoke, two cheese burger w/fries and side salad. Food was amazing!!! The drinks we ordered two Pineapple colada(I think) tasted like a Pina colada and one margarita(don't remember the name. I'm pretty sure I messed up the drink names, but you should definitely check out this restaurant.
