Staying true to my game. Chilis never disappoints. There was a ton of fanfare to come to this one. My lovely date grew up in this area and her love for chilis blossomed at this very location. Needless to say, expectations were SKY HIGH. And needless to say, Chilis hits another home run. One of the odd things I learned is that this may be the only bar in the area. As a Chili's goes, this was one of the best ones I've been to. The food was fresh and hot and the service was pretty good. I consider this type of restaurant just above fast food, so they did pretty well. My main disappointment is mainly that the place always smells a little like old food. I recently visited Chili's and ordered the fajitas, and they were absolutely delicious. The sizzling platter arrived hot and fresh, making for a great presentation. The meat was tender and well-seasoned, and the grilled peppers and onions added the perfect flavor and texture. The tortillas were warm, and all the toppings--especially the guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo--were fresh and complemented the meal perfectly. The portion size was generous, leaving me completely satisfied. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience. On the road again, in Reading Pennsylvania. I'm not one that usually does chain restaurants, but the front desk said that Chili's three for deal couldn't be beat, especially since I was hungry for a burger. Typical ambience of the chilies. The food was absolutely great. Burger with all the fixings and a side of fries satisfied my hungry appetite. The service on the other hand left much to be desired. After explaining the menu, the waitress came back 15 minutes later to take my order. Once my order was placed, I happen to notice two other tables get seated, served, and one actually left before I got my food. When questioned, I asked my server what was going on. I was then told that someone had taken my burger and delivered it to another table. So 25 minutes after ordering, I received my burger and fries. Again, not much of a chain food eater. I usually try to seek out the local joints. But I was kind of in a hurry tonight and just wanted a good burger and Chili's checked that box. It is unfortunate that the service was substandard at best. Again, another reason to seek out the local joints and provide them with your business. Be prepared for the smell of old grease when you enter the restaurant and for your feet to slide on the greasey floor. I utilize a wheelchair and they sat us in the back next to the wall and a small service station to keep me out of the way but I was so cramped and had to sit diagonal at the table. We shared our table with a few ants and some weird crawling/flying bug. As for the food my side salad came in the cutest tiniest bowl and our salsa was soup! When asked about the salsa her response was something about the consistency of the tomatoes before they blend them oh they gave us cheese soup too! Our server was super nice but the runner tossed our food on the table and was so mean! On the bright side they have two nice size handicap bathroom stalls that fit my wheelchair comfortably. You know, I'll always have a warm spot in my heart for this place. This Chili's was, after all, one of my first employers. That was 12 years ago, when I was a 17-year-old busboy, right around the time of this location's grand opening. I was a little disappointed on my last trip, having discovered the mushroom, onion, and Swiss burger had been removed from the menu. It has always been one of my all time favorites (I ate LOTS of them after my shifts in my bussing days). Oh, and the broccoli cheese soup was gone, too. What the heck! The service here is above average. Maybe I'm being biased, because even after all these years, there are some familiar faces still working here. The employees are as dedicated as they come. As for the food - well, the cooks are pretty good with the meat temperatures. My buddy ordered a burger done medium, and it was darn near perfect. Other than the steaks and burgers, I'd shy away from most everything else. I can't fault the cooks, but the chicken and appetizers are pre-cooked and simply reheated in a pan, broiler, or microwave. That's just the way these types of places operate. The pasta is even pre-cooked, so when it's reheated before the meal, it tends to come out sticky and gummy - all sense of texture is lost. I went with my wife after I graduated to Celebrate and the waitress got upset because I asked for my iced tea to be sweeter. She kept asking if I liked the sweetness of my tea with quotation hand signals and made me feel bad for asking the drink to be sweeter and I don't want to hear that she was busy because the place had like 3 other customers. On Friday we decided to start our weekend celebration and went to Chili's for dinner. We were happy because there weren"t many people inside. It was approximately 5:30 pm. when we entered they welcomed us and told us we had to wait 20 minutes. We looked inside the place and it had few people. We did not understand why we had to wait. But we accept. I think Chili's low on staff. At exactly 20 minutes they called us. The waitress was very kind but you could tell that she had a lot of work, She never offered us water, nor did she offer napkins. The drinks took approximately 20 minutes and the food took more than 35 minutes. If I give it 3 stars it is because overall the service was not good. I want to think that my bad experience is because due to the coronavirus they still do not have enough staff. As for the food it was tasty. There was an option of fajitas. We chose it with meat, chicken, and shrimp. It was quite a generous portion. We also ordered some new pulled pork quesadillas. I didn't like them they were super spicy. Too much. I ordered a sandwich with grilled chicken, avocado, bacon, Swiss cheese, and tomato. It was very good and it came with French fries. the drinks were delicious. Maybe later we will visit the place again because the food was good. The waitress within the madness that was in the place was kind. This place is a joke. First the waiter brings out our entrees and we ask where the appetizer is. He said someone bumped it and nobody ever brought it out to us. So we get our app finally after the entree. Then we get the cookie with ice cream on top. He said all of the ice cream was melted and this was what they had. Really? We went here for dinner on a Friday night and luckily there wasn't a wait. Most of the meal went smooth. We ordered the 2 for $20 meal which consisted of 1 appetizer and 2 entrees for $20. We started with the onion straws and jalapenos. They were tasty and a good treat for an appetizer. Our entrees came out quick enough but after that it pretty much went downhill from there. My wife's quesadillas were good according to her as were my fajitas but they didn't give enough lettuce and salsa to go with my meal. They also could have added another taco shell or two because I found myself with a lot of extra meat and no shells to eat it with. The worst part of the experience was trying to get the check. We were in the bar area at a table so I guess our waitress was a bartender as well? When I told her that my TOGO order was missing items, she asked me to hold for a manager, came back to phone, passing off as the manager, then proceeded to hang up on me when I caught her in her lie of being a manager when she offered me a gift card and said "he will do that for you". Terrible to the point of nauseating. First, you get greeted by a nasty decor that sinply doesn't match. Dark greens, browns, and oddly placed tiles on the table gave a really poor and decrepit impression. I could barely pay attention to my food and friends because the decor was too distracting. Second, our server, Kelsey, was very poor waitress. She barely made eye contact and barely put any effort to interact beyond what she needed to. She was rude and seemed rushed even though the restaurant barely had any diners. Third, the food was below subpar. The food was either bland or oversaturated with taste and they used materials that are low quality. The chicken was tough to chew, the pasta was tough to chew, and yes the boneless wings were tough to chew. Don't bother with this restaurant at all. My wife and I went to Chili's because we had received a promotional gift card. One part of the restaurant experience that I often find frustrating is the person at the hostess station. You are not planning the D-day invasion, it's just a table. So in a restaurant with MANY open tables I'm asked to sit and wait. I have had similar experiences at Olive Garden and have simply turned and walked out. In this case I wanted to use the gift card so I waited. Message to the manager: Maybe you're understaffed. Maybe you are concerned about which server should get the next table. These things are not my problem. Message to the servers: My experience starts as soon as I walk in the door. The generosity of the tip is changing right from the start. My wife asked to speak to the manager. He was able to seat us immediately. (Again there were plenty of open tables). So we had our lunch. The food was good. The waitress was good. But you know what I remember most? The inability to do the basic task of getting customers seated. The star rating really just doesn't work here. I certainly can't say 3 (A-OK) and saying 2 puts too much weight on the table issue that in the end the manager did take care of. But I will still have to go with two stars. read more

Chili's offers a great $35 meal for two with an app, entree, desert, and Margaritas. I recently went meatless and was given the opportunity to try out Chili's upcoming Vegetarian Fajitas, the meal was in point! I questioned the Asparagus when I saw it come out on the plate, but the combination of the bean "steak" and veggies tasted really good! I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a steak or chicken alternative meal. The service was wonderful and friendly! This is the only Chili's where we've gotten the $35 deal that I was offered a choice of Margarita flavor. I chose the Mango one, not too sweet!
