Went here because of the high reviews. Hate to say "Meh" to a small mom and pop shop, but the food quality was medium-low (lots of orange liquid cheese in place of better quality cheeses! The grilled cheese had an off flavor of old oil on a dirty grill. The tater tots were decent with lots of orange liquid cheese sauce, but still had the old oil taste. The chicken and cheese quesadillas were bland, and the wife didn't even finish one. Not much else to review on this tiny, hole in the wall. Not sure how they got a 4.7 average score! read more

This was a strange experience. Older woman and younger adult male were in the yard carrying something into a shed and when we walked into the house/diner(?) they magically appeared in this back room behind the counter where you ordered. Actually, they sort of looked annoyed that you were there. My first instinct was to leave and take my grandchildren elsewhere for lunch. No smell of food cooking anywhere... I felt like leaving but felt bad since it was a small business. My cheese quesadilla looked sloppy and had no taste whatsoever. The kids had buffalo chicken bite bowls; they looked anemic and one taste confirmed it was just some microwaved fried crap that was completely underwhelming. Went in for UPS service and left with some chicken BBQ, the lady who works there was so sweet and genuine. The food was good, it was 9 bucks for a hamburger roll with chicken bbq on it and nothing else came with it and that was a large so I can't imagine what a small was. I was disappointed with the size because I had to share it with my husband so he wasn't too happy with it for dinner. The actual eating area was tiny and tidy. It was my first time here and we really enjoyed the food. Parking and seating is limited, but fortunately there was only one other customer dining when we arrived. The interior is very homey and laid back -- it may be too casual for some, almost like eating at grandma's house with a register in the back. We started with a Barbecue Ground Beef sandwich, Naked Tater Bites, Classic Gourmet Grilled Cheese sandwich, Tomato Basil soup, a Pulled Pork Taco, and two cans of Diet Coke. We enjoyed it so much that we ordered another Barbecue Ground Beef sandwich, two more Pulled Pork Tacos, and some Naked Tater Bites. The prices are amazing -- best bang for the buck that I've seen in awhile. The Barbecue Ground Beef sandwich tastes DELICIOUS! We loved the Naked Tater Bites, they complement the sweet BBQ and Pulled Pork menu items perfectly. The Tomato Basil soup tasted really good. The Classic Gourmet Grilled Cheese sandwich was OK. The Pulled Pork Tacos were good at first, but the sweetness eventually becomes overwhelming -- like a sugar overload of sorts. If I return in the future, it will be definitely for the sloppy joe sandwiches, the tater tots, and possibly the tomato basil soup if I'm in the mood for that. Drive passed almost daily and always see it open but no customers so decided to give it a try! Got the pulled pork sandwich without the bun and got a lot of meat for the money so that was a nice surprise. The place is small with only 5 tables, two of them seat 2 while the others seat 5. I was a little put off by the clutter and disorganization that met you when ordering and looking straight back. Would go back but would highly suggest the visual behind the counter to be cleaned up to make it more professional and inviting. read more

I read the reviews and was so excited. Was it possible that I found a local place with good pulled pork? When I parked, I thought it was odd that there was no smoker out back. I went inside to pick up my order. Once inside, there were no food smells. I wondered, how is there pulled pork with no smoker and no smell? I found out when I opened my grilled cheese -- a crock pot. Gross. This pork was cooked in a crock pot. If you're local and used to calling sloppy joes barbecue and getting pulled pork out of a crock pot, then this place is probably great. What a quaint little spot. My dad and I were visiting family and in need of food, so we hopped in the car and started driving. I screamed "PULL OVER!" when I saw the sign out front with soups listed- potato cheddar chowder, chicken noodle, tomato basil... YUM. We pulled a quick U-turn and parked in the Station House Grille's parking lot and headed in. Very clean and nicely decorated, the Station House features two sitting areas- one to the right of entry, and one to the left, where the counter is to place your orders. We ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, tomato basil soup, and potato cheddar chowder, though the menu was quite large, it's all we were in the mood for. While waiting, the owners (a brother and sister) let us sample some chocolate cake they had- it was excellent! We enjoyed chatting with them about business and just life in general. The grilled cheese was by far one of the best I've ever had. Perfectly toasted outsides, gooey, melty cheese inside, and it was a very large sandwich so it was very filling. The tomato basil soup was on point. Not too overpowering on the basil side of things. Dad said the potato chowder was "really good. I mean... really, really good". We enjoyed our meals so much so that we got more the next day. This time- quart of tomato basil soup, quart of potato chowder, grilled cheese sandwich, pulled pork sandwich. Dad and grandpa split the pulled pork, and they both raved about it all afternoon. My grilled cheese was just as excellent as the day prior- a sign that the Station House runs a consistent business. The soup was wonderful, again. Prices are reasonable. They have different combos- soup/sandwiches/soda for around $8. You really don't want to miss this place! Wish we'd had more people with us so we could've tried even more food. As it was, we had the beef tater bowl, a beef sandwich, and a mac and cheese pulled pork burrito. Everything was delicious, but I'll let you in on a secret... if you ask for that burrito deep-fried, you will thank me forever. There aren't words to describe that heavenly mix of melted cheese, perfect pork, and crispy shell. I tried Station House Grille for the first time today after wanting to try it for quite some time. I got the pulled pork grilled cheese and loaded tater tots. It was some of the best pulled pork bbq I have had and the grilled cheese aspect of it made it even more delicious! The tots were smothered and delicious. All for just over 10 bucks!? Eat here at your own discretion. We've ordered here numerous times, and loved it. We always get the pulled pork grilled cheese. This visit was completely different and unnerving. The owners health seems to have severely declined. He seemed in bad shape and had a bad attitude. We brushed it off, we're not ableist. He almost accidentally charged me $18 instead of $6. We get home with our food and one sandwich is FULL of mold, and the other smells like rancid meat. So we drive back and show him. He goes "Well my wife just bought the bread yesterday, must be coming from the grill" Um gross, so he offers 2 new sandwiches, we decline. Why would we want new sandwiches with rancid meat from the same grill you just said was moldy? We asked for our money back, he groaned and tried to pay us for HALF of one sandwich. We said no, we didn't eat either of them so we should get paid for both. He groaned again, annoyedly handed us the money and we left. We won't be returning and I hope nobody else returns either if he's cooking on a moldy grill. read more

Cindy catered both a family gathering and a wedding for me. She was excellent in helping us choose what to serve and in developing a theme for the wedding reception. She went way beyond what's normally required and we received rave reviews about the great taste of all the food as well as her beautiful presentation. While Station House is mostly a pulled pork/barbecue kind of place (we had pulled pork at the family event), Cindy can do about any kind of food and we went with a completely different menu for the wedding reception, preferring a cold food buffet because of the outdoor location and the July heat. I would need so much more space to tell you how wonderful it was to work with Cindy and Scott!!! I will never use anyone else for any event of mine again!
