Great quiet place to sit and chat over a healthy breakfast option at reasonable prices. The baked oatmeal was delicious and the pumpkin spice latte was a perfect choice for a frigid winter morning. They changed their business model to table service vs the counter service, which is a nice touch. There was one mishap that made us a bit uncomfortable at the start of our meal. The owner came out and addressed it, providing us with her word that it was being handled appropriately. As a result we enjoyed our experience and will be giving it another chance in the future- to give time for the issue to be fully addressed. read more

I'm giving a four star, because Yelp doesn't allow half stars, and I don't think a 3 is fair. My girlfriend has a work from home job, and when there are catered lunches at the firm, she gets a Door Dash credit... so we had Cloud 9 for lunch today. So , fully disclosure I have no idea how the staff, atmosphere or ambiance is. We ordered a Caesar Salad, a Reuben, and a Turkey BLT. The Turkey BLT I'm told is awesome. The Reuben was awesome. The Caesar was .... It was romaine lettuce, cheese, croutons and a packet of Ken's. I'd say check them out, but something as simple as homemade chips, or putting the dressing in a cup to make it look like your own....they don't do it. read more

Preordered a breakfast burrito and tots through mobile app. Got it back to my job and the burrito was burnt. I still ate it but was very disappointed. So I left my feedback through the app (toast takeout). Within an hour, the owner had refunded my money and wrote me a personal email apologizing for the burnt burrito. I was very humbled by that and would not hesitate to return to this establishment again. This is one of the dirtiest restaurants we have ever eaten in. My colleagues and I were there for a business luncheon. Everything from floors to tables to the restrooms. Two of us felt sick later in the day. The service is horrendous, and then you have to put away your dishes! We are not returning, and I suggest you don't go there in the first place. read more

This place is just perfect. A kind of rustic, friendly, enjoyable blend of the best parts of a bakery, a cafe, and your favorite diner. The food feels homemade and everyone is welcoming and friendly. It's obvious they have a lot of regulars (and I'm now one of em!) and that they enjoy their time here. Their coffee is your regular coffee, but they spice it up and add flavor for fun. Today I tried pistachio icecream and it was really good, despite the name. Not too many places like this around here. Wyomissing is very corporate and ritzy in my opinion, but this little niche brings a slice of comfortable Saturday morning home and happiness to our busy lives. I'm being generous with 3. The good: I like their California pasta salad. Their quiches are also pretty good. Bread is tasty. Fruit and veggies were fresh. The bad: I paid $9 for a Caesar salad that literally was romaine, chicken, and parm. It came with the tiniest slice of bread (that was tasty) but almost insulting bc it was so small. It also came with small side of fruit. I would have preferred they put a hard boiled egg, croutons, anchovies and just given me a real salad. Sandwhiches are big, side of pickles was little two tiny rounds. Were a pickle/pepper family. They don't have banana peppers. Only peppers in oil. I own that I'm nit-picky. But, that salad was a huge let down. read more

Went for the first time to get a morning sandwich of eggs on croissant it was delicious. The lady was friendly but I was disappointed when she picked up the ketchup packets with her hand ( no gloves) and dropped them on top of my sandwich. I quickly yelled to her nooooo but it was too late it had already landed. I ate the sandwich because I didn't want to be bothersome but all the while praying for good health. Food establishments need to know that it is not good enough to set out a pump bottle of hand sanitizer for the customers but they the service provider must be consistent with hygienic service to make us feel comfortable at their establishment. read more

I have to give five stars to a Cloud Nine café located on the outskirts of a small city and bringing its own flare. I probably visit this place once a week. Big fan of their fresh foods, healthy breakfast and lunch options, and very friendly owner and staff. I usually get the half chicken salad sandwich on pumpernickel with a turkey chilly and I am set. The Carmel pieces they sell for $.60 are worth the trip but the specialty teas and coffee, make this place a treat, in the outskirts of Reading. The food is priced fairly for what you get in healthy and fresh food. A must eat location located in a small shopping center next to a cupcake place and a Marine Corps Officer Recruiting office. Cloud 9 Cafe is incredible!! They always have fresh coffee brewed. They offer a few different varieties, including flavored. I usually get a large coffee and molasses cookie when I come here. They usually are soft cookies but the last few times have been hard. I recommend asking for them to heat them up. It makes all the difference and on a cold day like today makes you feel warm inside. Went for lunch with a friend and had the roast beef sandwich with a side dish of broccoli. The sandwich was your standard deli meat & cheese on sliced bread, although I think you can choose between rolls as well. The broccoli was smothered in a type of dressing with bacon bits so it was great. They have such an array of awesome looking salads and side dishes that one visit didn't complete me. Definitely recommend for lunch, but don't overlook their breakfast menu. read more

We were hopeful as we walked in as the menu was varied and the prices seemed reasonable. Unfortunately a combination of being understaffed and very inefficient meant long lines and a long wait. One person takes order, same person fills order, same person takes the payment. Next. Equally disappointing was the non-functional WIFI. We were hoping to get some work done for a little while as we sipped our coffee but the WIFI would not connect to the internet. Tried on three different devices with the same problem. Alas, being a small business there really wasn't anyone there who could do anything about it other than shrug their shoulders and say 'sorry.' Won't be going back. read more

I love the food at cloud 9, but I'm not sure I will go back until the pandemic is over. The girl at the front was wearing her mask below her nose, and I saw someone back in the kitchen without a mask at all. A customer also got extremely close to me in line without a mask. After taking my money the woman who was making my iced coffee used her hands ( with no gloves) to put the coffee iced cubes in my drink. Since she had touched the money, cash register, and wiped her nose with her hand, I couldn't believe she didn't wear gloves and after thinking about it, I threw the coffee away. In retrospect, I should have said something to her, but there was a long line behind me. The tables were sticky as well and there were a few pesky flies. Nice atmosphere, but the food is lacking. I've never felt like I was getting shorted on eggs until I came here. They must use the smallest size available, because two eggs scrambled looked like half of what it is anywhere else. To make matters worse, they're adding a 50 cent surcharge to any order with eggs because of the Avian flu and resulting cost increase. The order taker added the $0.50 and wrote down $6.45, then the cashier did it again and rang up $6.95. Toast wasn't served with jelly and there was none sitting out anywhere. Chicken noodle soup was quite bland. The Snapple drinks are barely cold because they have them sitting in an open-front deli case. Might be back to try something else, but I'd recommend Issac's next door instead. read more

Although the environment is really cozy I cannot say anything good for the food. I was really disappointed with the menu and the lack of breakfast options. As they are a cafe you would think there would be some decent breakfast food but no. Every time i have been they are out of pastries and the bagels are hard. They really seem to promote their smoothies with a big sign when u walk in but having tried many of them they are pretty watered down and a waste of $5. Disappointing at best. I used to stop here 3-4 times a week for a bacon, egg, and cheese on rye toast. I stopped buying breakfast and lunch five years ago to save money. Wow have they gone downhill. It took them 10 minutes to find napkins. They were completely disorganized. The staff messed up my husband's omelet. Wrong cheese and fixings. The omelet was left sitting for a while so the cheese congealed. My oatmeal was so watery it was not appealing. The scone was a sugary hockey puck and not edible. The worker taking the order was bent over the prep table eating where she prepares the food. This used to be a quaint place with excellent food. Now the food is sub par and the staff is bumbling and unsanitary. I would leave zero stars if I could. read more

Cloud Nine staff failed to communicate with each other and as a result, my bridesmaids and I did not have breakfast delivered the morning of my wedding. Afterwards, when I called to inquire what happened, the owner tried to mitigate the issue and I was made to feel like my order wasn't substantial enough (it was a $70 dollar order). It was certainly frustrating in the moment when breakfast wasn't delivered, but I think the worst part was the nonchalant attitude by the owner once I brought the issue to his attention.
