This is an adorable place off the highway. Reasonably priced food and coffee with plenty of areas to grab a seat. I will say if you're in a rush to grab a cup of coffee and go, this probably isn't the place to go to. I was here around 945 on a Wednesday and they were slammed. It only took about 20 minutes to get my to go order and latte, which was worth the wait. Will come back and dine in the next time I'm in the area. read more

While passing through Ephrata we searched Yelp for dinner ideas. The strong reviews of Stonehouse Cafe got our attention. It's definitely a cute place - smallish, but with lots of character and good food. They have a no nonsense espresso machine and they made me an upside-down dry cappuccino without any hesitation. If I lived in Ephrata I could see this becoming my main go-to for my cappuccinos. Service was friendly but a little slow. It could be our timing was bad, and to their credit the cook warned us that our order (we split one burger) would take 30 or more minutes. That seemed excessive to us but who knows, maybe they just received 10 DoorDash orders right before we arrived. Times like this really separate the good from the great restaurants. Great service would have been to not only apologize, but to also offer us a free espresso drink or an appetizer or a dessert to hold us over. Instead we had to ask for water two or three times. Over all, our experience was enjoyable, but they should consider hiring one or two more crew members. read more

On a Thursday at 6pm-the cafe was hopping! I had a peppermint hot chocolate which was on the drink specials list. I also enjoyed a salad and my husband had our standard Nathan's chicken sandwich. Service was friendly and quick-like usual. This is such a cute place! read more

Came here for the first time today and had a great experience. I rarely give 5 star reviews but I believe this place deserves it. The food we ordered was delicious (Stonehouse Grilled Cheese and California Burger). We also got Broccoli Cheddar soup and that was DELICIOUS The hazelnut iced coffee and caramel macchiato drinks were also pretty good. Initially when we came in, we were greeted by a woman behind the bar area...but we ordered with ponytail guy. Wish I got his name. He was very friendly and personable, felt like he recognized and acknowledged a lot of the regulars there and quickly came over to chat with us at the bar seating. He was chatting with us about Pokémon Go and was so chill. Ponytail guy was awesome (to ponytail guy I'm sorry if you're reading this and I didn't catch your name. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Very good food. I had the quinoa fiesta bowl with shrimp. Great flavor and the shrimp was fabulous! Perfectly cooked. My son has a quesadilla but it was modified to be only cheese. He was a very happy boy. My mom and the quesadilla as it was listed on the menu. She said it was great, it was a little hotter than she expected so if you're not into hot ask them to remove the jalapenos. Love those K&Z pickles. read more

Weren't sure the place was open but we gave it a try and sure enough two other parties were there. Large board lists their beverage options. Sensible limited menu for breakfast with all the classics on tap. The pancakes were some of the highest, puffiest pancakes I've ever eaten. Light, sweet, topped with real maple syrup. Coffee was very good. Got to talk with both the owner and chef, who stopped by the table a couple times and told us about the amazing old farmhouse/stage coach stopping spot the restaurant used to be 200 years ago. High open wooden beams and antique furniture made the experience feel old-timely. All for supporting locally owned uniques places like this. read more

It was fine. We came here after touring a local Amish farm and we were HUNGRY. There was one guy taking orders and running dishes to the tables. Poor guy, he was busy. We weren't in a rush and so we sat and waited and chatted while a fairly long period went by. Out of our 5 orders, three came and two more were in limbo. Finally the server came out to confess there was a mix up in the kitchen and our burgers got missed, so it would be a few more minutes. To help stave off hunger, he handed us another bowl of kettle potato chips. One of our group ordered a smoothie with certain fruit in it, but she said it didn't taste like it had any of the main fruit on the list in it. The burger was OK. read more

I enjoyed the warm and cozy atmosphere of the cafe, which exuded a historic architectural charm (they preserved the old structures of the building). The barista, who was also the only cashier/server at that time, was very friendly. Both the chai tea and latte were excellent. The food arrived promptly and was surprisingly delicious and filling. Wow! Such a little diamond. The main space is comfy and warm with rustic chic decor and design. The Stone walls give you a homey colonial feel. The customer service was top notch. Cashier was courteous and very inviting. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. A few healthy options with a variety of soups, salads and sandwiches. Tonight I enjoyed the Garlic Shrimp Quinoa Stirfry. It was amazing to say the least! I plan to come back on my next business trip to Ephrata. read more

After a lengthy and thorough restoration, the Stone House cafe is open, and it was worth the wait! The former Watney's has been transformed into a casual cafe, with all the beautiful stonework and woodwork one would expect of a historic inn, with the cafe ambiance and comfortable gathering spaces of a cafe. Interior and patio seating are available, as is counter seating. The menu boasts both breakfast and lunch options, as well as a full range of coffees and smoothies. Rumor has it the burgers are excellent, although today's visit entailed a game and cheese omelette a d avocado toast for the wife. Both were great! The house blend coffee was strong and exactly what I will need on my daily trips to work up 322! The owners were really pleasant, and service was perfect. I like their mission of creating a great gathering space on the west side of Ephrata, and they have the location, atmosphere, and yes, food and drink to become a neat part of the community. ! read more

Stopped by for breakfast while in Ephrata. We had and excellent cup of coffee and 2 amazing omelets. The toast they served with the omelets was think and toasted to perfection with I believe a little garlic butter. Definitely deserves 5 stars and will be stopping by next time I'm in town read more

OMG!!! I just ordered the Mushroom Swiss burger and it was amazing!! Brioche bun beautiful marriage of mushrooms and Swiss and I think there was a pepper on it I didn't stop an look it was that good!! I also had the peanut butter pie... really good as well.
