Never, ever, ever anything but perfection at Judy's. The atmosphere alone is worth the visit but then pile on exceptional service and a meal beyond compare. Perfect night out with my mom, my uncle Ken and his amazing new wife Kathleen, and of course my most beautiful wife Michelle. To everyone at Judy's, thank you so much for a job well do

Dinner for work. The drinks were strong!! Bathroom is all the way downstairs when you walk in. We had a limited menu since it was a group dinner. The bread was good. The scallops were gritty and the filet was ok. For dessert I had the key lime pie. I think it had been sitting out for awhile because it was falling apart and runny. Parking lot across the street, we took the shuttle from the hotel.

Went to Judy's on a Saturday night and the place was jumping! Seemed like a good sign. Alas, we had a very mixed experience. We parked in a lot across the street which used to be hourly of maybe free but it's $10 now. We used park mobile to pay. We made a reservation for 6 the day before which they did not have but fortunately had a table for us anyway. Bumpy start. The whole dinner experience lasted just under 3 hours and when dinner was served it took almost 5 minutes to get everyone's meals. The meals: 4 out of 6 were excellent. They had a pork chop with cooked peaches which were awesome! We had 2 fillets and one was great but the second was cooked to temp but was a but dry and unseasoned. The veggies on this dish were also unseasoned and undercooked. Most of us had totally seasoned and cooked sides. We got a NY strip that came pre-sliced and it was cooked to temp but it was luke warm. It was the last of 6 dishes to be served, perhaps it sat for some time? We had a veggie lasagna which was not recommended by the server but was very much enjoyed. The service was OK and gratuity of 20% was automatically applied due to being a table of 6. Almost 3 hours is just too long and the food should be served at the same time. I had much higher expectations for Judy's. We're going to give it another try and hope we caught them on an off night.

We really picked the right restaurant. Problem was the menu all looked so good we had to make choices ! Started with the grilled beet napoleon. My wife had the swordfish and I had the filet . Followed up with an awesome piece of cake and great coffee . Our waitress Shannon was awesome all the way . She even gave us a ride to the show we were going to after dinner . That was a true first ! Really solid place in a beautiful old building . Absolutely made the right choice !

Decent, but certainly not a fine dining experience. My experience wasn't great, but my appetizers were good enough that I'd give it another try. Better communication could easily have allowed many of the issues to be overlooked. First, the good: the appetizers I had were tasty. The vibe was very cute. The bad: I was sat at 5:40 on a Saturday, and needed to leave by 7 to get to the Santander Performing Arts Center. I ordered appetizers and a salad. I asked if the protein on one of the salads could be switched, she told me she'd find out but asked me for a back up order. She never told me the original salad I asked about was out of stock, just input my backup order with no communication. However, that wouldn't end up mattering. I had the dates which were PHENOMENAL! My fried green tomatoes were good, but they were fairly cold, and the lettuce they were topped with was frozen. I was stuffed after the apps and asked the server if I could cancel my salad. She told me it had already been prepared. 20 minutes later the salad I couldn't cancel because it was already prepared still hadn't arrived (I also was without a drink for that time, and was never given a chance to order another). I flagged down a woman who appeared to be a manager and said I needed to close out. I never saw her again. My server finally went by and I said I needed to leave. She didn't respond to me, presumably because she was slammed but it was unbelievably off-putting. I understand busy, but a sentence explaining what you're doing (which I didn't get from her or the "manager") would have made a huge difference. They took the salad (and an espresso I'd ordered that didn't arrive) off my bill. I would have appreciated them discounting a glass of wine or something n for the inconvenience, but I didn't even get a verbal apology. I'd give it another try, but this experience was not good.

Rutt's Hut in Clifton NJ. And have had NY dogs and Chicago dogs in their respective cities...this slays them all. Of course, like pizza and wings and cheesesteaks etc, it comes down to what you're looking for in that particular genre. They nailed it here with the perfect combination of mustard onions and chili. Some places are stingy with the chili or pile on too many onions. Not Forest Inn. Perfect ratio. Maybe it is simply the care with which they are prepared? I don't know. But as a kid I would grab a chili dog from the Whitehall Mall (Allentown/Whitehall) at a place called Little Red Wagon. Just a wagon-like stand in hallway of mall. The chili dogs at Forest Inn remind me of those dogs. This spot is your classic dive bar. Typical characters you'd expect. Old school urinals. Jukebox that you can't play with your Touchtune/AMI app. Tons of Pennsylvania Skill games(more than I've ever seen at one bar) Seemed like a clean place though so no complaints. The real star of the show is the bartender/chef/manager Harry. He is on the ball! Super nice guy too. He has to serve all the patrons plus cook up all the food and keep non-patrons from using the restroom or just hanging out. He does it all with ease and is fun to talk to as well. I've been here twice already and will return for third time shortly. It's is 45 minutes from house so I can't go on a regular basis but they're so good I gotta make a trek there a few times a year. Give Forest Inn a try! You won't be disappointed.

The fresh avocado slices in the huaraches and the special green-chili sauce makes this "spicy kitchen" a favorite lunch stop for us. You can take out or eat in; and we've done both. The advantage of eating in is that the food is more fresh and you don't have to worry about it getting cold on the way home. The owners and cooks will bring out the food to you, which is great service. There are a few tables and a long bar with stools in front of a wall mirror to sit at. One potential downside is that it's noisy with the TV and radio on (often blasting, and in Spanish). One thing that is sort of interesting, too, is that the common side order is french fries instead of tortilla chips. It's in the middle of the city of Reading, but on a side street away from the main attractions of downtown. On street parking is typically not an issue when we go, around 1PM during the week. We've never had problems with ordering custom-made dishes in English, as most of the dishes are listed in Spanish on the in-store menu--and this is something we really appreciate, as my wife prefers to custom-order for personal reasons (e.g., "without cilantro, onions, and tomatoes"). The price is excellent for the amount of food and quality of service you receive.

AMBIANCE: The front of the restaurant is pretty normal, they have a good amount of seating and a bar to sit at. You would never know there is a huge event hall attached in the back. The event hall is humongous, it has 2 bars available even though 1 was open for this night. Definitely a good place to have an event and not be too crowded. They had plenty of tables available and it didn't get too hot. SERVICE: We were met right away by a waitress who explained how the tables were working and led us to one. She was pretty attentive the entire night and answered all of my questions as this was my first time here. FOOD & DRINK: I throughly enjoyed the plate of picadera we got. We ordered the size for one person to share and it was plenty for 2 people. It came hot and fresh and was delicious. The drinks on the other hand were disappointing. The drinks were $12 each which I assume is up charged because there's a performance. I would assume for $12 I'm getting a nicely sized drink in a glass and it tastes good. We ordered 2 mojitos which you could tell was pre made in a big jar and just poured out. There wasn't any muddled mint or lime in the cup. It just tasted like lime sprite. I was really disappointed in that. They were also charging $165 for a bottle for the table which I thought was a bit much. So I know for next time to pregame at the house before going out there. PERFORMANCE: Kinito was great. I had so much fun! He came out at a good time, maybe 8PM and the event started at 6PM. I left after his first set so around 9:30PM. I'm assuming he had a second set since the event said it ended at 12AM but it was a Sunday night so I didn't want to stay too late. He was an amazing performer.
