It had been a long day. I saw Louie's on my go to list, so we gave it a try. We met some nice people and had some good Cheeesteak conversation. We got the Lewie. It comes with cheese sauce. It is very tasty. It's very soft. It has a soft roll, the meat is tender and juicy, and the cheese sauce is velvety. It comes with chips which add a nice crunch. Nice lively crowd. read more

Outstanding experience. (Hope this review makes up for minor squabbles about Gracie's, which I too love!) Located a bit out of the way in the Flying Hills golf course, but worth the drive. Sports bar- Eagles vibe w/ a decent draft list. The kegs weren't working (seems to happen at every bar we attend these days) but still enjoyed a Mike & Merrill Philly Hazy IPA. Wings a good size, crisp, you know, the way wings used to be before everyone started charging an arm & a leg & serving broken pigeon wings. Classic "Buffalo" sauce & blue cheese dressing were good. FINALLY tried famous Caramel Burger (which I missed several times at the Hamburger festival). It did not disappoint. Good size, flavorful patty, & what these people do best- the bacon jam & caramelized bacon. The sweetness of the onions sings thru. Order it! Husband ordered seasonal special Frikadellen/Bratwurst Smash Burger. Skipping right to it- the cottage fries. (Gracie's/Louie's if you had this all the time we'd have no beef! LOL) INCREDIBLE! Crisp, thin, tender, amazing. If you follow me you know I am over the frozen fries served at every eatery in this country. Finally, amazingly pleasant, genuinely happy, server- Reese. She was on my side throughout this whole foodie journey, even the beer & burger mishap (initially burger served w/o cheese sauce). She's a keeper! We'll be back & will spread the word! Till then, stay on your toes! Thank you Louie's for a great meal. read more

Louie's is a bar perched over the Flying Hills Golf Course. Burgers, Bacon and Brews - Louie's will fulfill that grumble in your stomach. Not just one kind of bacon the handhelds and burgers here have a variety of bacon options. Which should come as no surprise as the proprietors also own Gracie's on West Main. A bacon lovers paradise. Tonight we had the Triple BLT and the Smokehouse. Both enjoyable and satisfied not only our hunger but our palates as well. Friendly atmosphere and comfortable vibe. Louies has both indoor and outdoor seating and a nice view of the pool and golf course. Perfect for drinks. A bite to eat or meeting up with friends. read more

I'm going to be honest, we walked in and I was a little hesitant. It seemed a little run down inside. However, I got the bacon smash burger and it was hands down one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. My husband agreed. It was amazing. Server was great and the drinks were great as well. read more

In July of 2025 I ate here for the first time. I had their smash burger. I was chewing and there was a rock hard object in the burger and a tooth that was in perfect condition with no fillings split in half. My husband heard this happen, it was so loud. My mouth was bleeding, the back half of the tooth dangling, I left crying hysterically. The owner connected me with his liability insurance, who denied covering any of it as I did not bring the white hard object that was in my food home with me, I was so upset that I just left; my husband left with me. I needed a 360 exray of the tooth, a surgery to have the tooth removed, another surgery to have a titanium implant, a fake tooth for 3 months of healing and then a crown. This all cost $7000 out of pocket, and they helped me with none of it. This is why places have liability insurance, so if a customer gets hurt, they can be compensated. The insurance company submitted this to the ground beef company; and it went nowhere. I only write good reviews about places, but this whole situation still is so upsetting to me. So, if you break a tooth or get hurt at Louie's; make sure to bring your food that you spit out with you and take photos, as they will deny the responsibility. read more

This was the best burger I have ever had, and I've had quite a few! I got the Bacon Bacon Burger. There were so many others that also sounded awesome, but I loved this one so much that I came back for it 3 days in a row. We also got the peanut butter pie for desert. That was also excellent. I will be back here any and every time I am in the area! read more

A gem of Flying Hills. One for the casual diner this time. You don't have to be some elite country club member to enjoy Louie's Kitchen. Just come in, grab a seat either inside the dining room or outside on the deck. The inside gets TVs to watch whatever sporting events are on, the outside gets a beautiful panoramic view of the Flying Hills Golf Course. First time I ate here was on the patio on a sunny spring day, and I instantly fell in love with this place. The menu is mostly made up of burgers and other handhelds, but offers up additional items like fish & chips, crab cakes, and a roast beef dinner. If you're feeling adventurous and haven't eaten in two days, you can test your might against the Black Widow Challenge, which pits you up against a towering bacon cheeseburger with four 1/4 patties and a pound of fries. It costs $29.99, but you manage to down it in under 25 minutes, the meal is free and you become immortalized on the establishment's hallowed walls. Inside, you definitely have strong Philadelphia sports bar vibes. Outside is pure natural bliss. Parallel worlds, two planes of existence, together in harmony. Like the beef patties and bacon strips of a Black Widow Burger. read more

So far, everything came out perfect our waiter was awesome. Very attentive. This chicken sandwich looks like it's gonna be a treat to bite into. The burger meat is succulent and taste like he got it from outback. One of the better patty melts for sure. The scenery is cool too restaurant/bar vibe with a golf course in the background. Ordered Louie's Cheesesteak and onion rings. Both were disappointing. I took three bites of the cheesesteak and ate two onion rings and was done. The cheese sauce on top of the steak was way too thick, clumpy and over powered everything else. The onion rings were too greasy and virtually flavorless. At least they were hot as the cheesesteak was lukewarm at best. The bartender asked if I wanted a box and I said no. She then took the food away, didn't offer anything else. No one came out to see why I didn't eat more. I paid $32 (incl. tip) for one draft beer, three bites of a cheesesteak and two onion rings. read more

When talking about this food, you have to curse because this shit is freaking awesome! The burger was fantastic. My wife had a cheesesteak that was out of this world. I'm telling you definitely the best in Berks County hands-down. And I am someone who would drive to Philly just for a cheesesteak. I will be visiting often! The menu is super cute and love how it tells the story of the place. We got the rib tips as an appetizer and they were really tender fall off the bone. My husband got the Caramel Burger he said it was a little sweet for him but was made perfect and I had some and loved it! I got the Gritty and it was hugeeeee I enjoyed it. We def had to take doggy bags home but we loved the place, we will def be back to try more! read more

Ok we've only door dashed here but the food is great. The first time i ordered, I had their smash burger tacos.. I know it's listed as an appetizer but for me it was plenty as an entrée. My husband and son love the whiskey burger, all of the cheese cheesesteaks, especially the ones with the seeded roll.! There's one burger that is a classy spin of a "Mc" burger .. but def an upgrade! And the whisky bacon.. a treat.. you can't go wrong with anything from Louie's! I need to get myself IN the restaurant but I'd probably never leave Update: went here for lunch with coworkers. Service was great and the menu is even bigger than what DD had. Wait staff was very attentive and the place is def Philly Sports themed. (Packers fan here lol) very casual.. we got there about 11:45am and it was a good thing we did. The lunch crowd was huge. I wasn't disappointed. Great Job Louie's! read more

I was searching our local area on Yelp for a new bar/restaurant to watch an Eagles football game. I checked out their web page. I liked what I saw, family owned, locally sourced, homemade! My wife and I decided to go here on my birthday for an Eagles game. There is a dining room separate from the bar area. From the time we walked into the bar we felt welcomed by the bartender and the other patrons. They have multiple beers and cider on tap, there is a video board with all the selections. There were 3 different papers the bartender handed us, one was the cocktail menu, one was the food menu and the third was the Oktoberfest menu specials. We started with a Soft pretzel twist and beer cheese from the Oktoberfest menu. My wife had the Banana White Russian drink and I had the Downeast- Cider Doughnut flavored Cider. Both of these were really good. My wife's was a house creation. This pretzel was fresh and soft, probably house made and NOT frozen! Wings were on sale for the game, and I'm a sucker for a wing deal. I ordered the Nashville Hot and Orange Sesame, both flavors were very good and again very fresh, not bottled sauces! There are plenty of TVs all around the bar there is a TV view from every seat. They turn up the volume (for Eagles games)! The bar seats about 30-35 people. During warmer months there are doors that open to an outside deck seating area! As the game progressed my wife decided to try the fish tacos. (She is not a wing fan, just likes the sauces) We both thought they were very good. They also have a burger challenge if you love burgers and are up for a challenge! As much as I would like to keep this place a secret, so it doesn't get too full on game day, I must give Louies Kitchen and Bar 5 stars. Housemade Food and a great staff make this place a must visit. If you don't want to sit in the bar, try the dining room! I'm hoping to get there again tomorrow, I hear the smash burgers are top notch! Special shout out to Ryan the bartender, there are some creative cocktails on the menu! read more

Tasteless and over priced. Yes its on a golf course so the price is expected. Charged $1.75 for a squirt of 1,000 island dressing to put on the burger. Not sure if the cheesesteak was steak and cheese was not found. Burgers are bland and overcooked. read more

Service is great every time we go there.Great food and atmosphere. Always a nice crowd there to hang out in the bar with.

Food was good. I ordered the Steakhouse burger which came with fries. You don't get a choice of how it's cooked because it is two 4 oz. smash burgers on a roll. The burger had a good taste to it with mushrooms, grilled onions and cheese. The fries were also good. Service was great. My only con would be that we were there for dinner and they don't serve any dinner entrees or soup. It's basically a bar food menu heavy on the sandwiches. The ambiance was fine. It's probably a nice view in the summer and fall as the place has a lot of windows overlooking the golf course. There is also outside seating in nice weather. read more

We couldn't believe our luck finding this place last summer. Tucked away off the beaten path, Louie's has both a fun vibe and chef-quality casual food. Eating outside on the deck was cool, and there's hardly anything we've ordered that we didn't love. Cool, inspirational sports quotes on the many chalkboards give you something enjoyable and uplifting to do while you wait for the kitchen to prep your meal. So much better than watching the news on the TVs! I keep ordering the Greek salad bc the it's so fresh and such a generous portion, I can take half home for lunch the next day. They are attentive to quality, too - I mean, how many restaurants serve RED tomatoes in February ?!? (Nothing worse than a mushy pink tomato, am I right?) The one surprise that we didn't totally love was the wings. Nothing wrong with them, but we were hungry for traditional hot wings, and these weren't that. The hand-dipped chocolate strawberries at Valentine's Day were a cute touch. Overall, just well done. (I wish I could remember the name, tho, bc I keep having to look it up when I tell people about it!!) read more

I had the best breakfast ever the other day. I ordered the standard eggs, potatoes, and bacon, with rye toast (this is the breakfast I believe one can judge by). Each component was perfect.
