This low-end college bar has sticky floors, extremely low ceilings and well-only (low quality liquor) drinks. The bands and DJ's that they line up are weak and there is nowhere to move most of the time. I'm not a stingy guy, but it hurts to take my money out when they have a cover charge on weekends. If you want to save yourself from a crummy night (and probably a hangover from the cheap drinks), pop upstairs to the take-out place attached to the Kutztown Tavern and grab some quarts of their micro-brews.

But for a normal patron's palate these would have been undercooked. Also these were not super fresh. My husband pot roast sandwich was good. The banana peppers gave it pizazz, as well the gravy for the fries- nice touch for a dip. My Mom's burger was ok. And sweet potato fries tasted out of the box. One surprise was this cocktail! Mom and I shared and both loved it!! I did not catch the name- but it had gin and blueberry syrup. Now I need to find blueberry syrup for a cocktail. This was refreshing, punchy and sweet.
