Lots of specials

Cheap drinks, cheap Coney dogs. Lots of Mexican music on the juke box. Big screen in the back Front entrance specializing in take out dogs and beer. Push through the crowd to get to the bar. You will not feel welcome; persevere anyway. There is a sign for $2 drafts, but I do not see any taps on the premises. Ordered a draft and got a 16-on can. Closing time advertised by a sign on front door as 9pm. There was no cessation of activity after 9pm, but I left around 9:30. My guess they stayed open until MNF was over. Hot dog was really good. But really a scary place.

Great spot for more formal dining with ample dining space located upstairs (there is an elevator…read morefor those who need it). The menu offers appetizers, soups, pasta, pizzas, salads, entrees, and desserts with at least several options under each heading. The food was tasty and well cooked, and the portions were ample to generous. The service was attentive. The establishment makes it clear that there is a mandatory gratuity for groups of six or larger, split checks are not guaranteed for larger groups, and there is a 3% surcharge for credit card transactions. Be mindful of what you order. It can add up quickly. My companion and I wracked up a $200 bill between our drinks, appetizers, entrees, and dessert. Free parking is available after 5pm in the Cherry Street Parking Lot.

They have a large hearth wood fired oven in the center, and the place has a rustic feel. Cocktail menu has some classy drinks on it. Drinks were made fine and priced reasonably well. The dinner menu has a bit of everything. Cowboy ciao salmon salad was crispy and fresh, large and chock full of mix-ins. The steak and gorgonzola pizza was perfectly cooked and the gorgonzola was phenomenally savory! Definitely was surprised how good this combo was on a pizza. Had peach tart for dessert which was alright but felt a bit lacking after such a strong dinner. Presentation on all food / drink was quite nice. Overall, everything was great. Thanks

My wife and I love this little restaurant. It's homemade Mexican-American food prepared fresh and…read morequick. We usually get the tacos, huaraches, or quesadillas with chicken. The fresh avocado slices in the huaraches and the special green-chili sauce makes this "spicy kitchen" a favorite lunch stop for us. You can take out or eat in; and we've done both. The advantage of eating in is that the food is more fresh and you don't have to worry about it getting cold on the way home. The owners and cooks will bring out the food to you, which is great service. There are a few tables and a long bar with stools in front of a wall mirror to sit at. One potential downside is that it's noisy with the TV and radio on (often blasting, and in Spanish). One thing that is sort of interesting, too, is that the common side order is french fries instead of tortilla chips. It's in the middle of the city of Reading, but on a side street away from the main attractions of downtown. On street parking is typically not an issue when we go, around 1PM during the week. We've never had problems with ordering custom-made dishes in English, as most of the dishes are listed in Spanish on the in-store menu--and this is something we really appreciate, as my wife prefers to custom-order for personal reasons (e.g., "without cilantro, onions, and tomatoes"). The price is excellent for the amount of food and quality of service you receive.

I came to Jet Set to see an artist, Kinito Mendez. I just moved to the area so I was excited to see…read morea Dominican artist in a small town. AMBIANCE: The front of the restaurant is pretty normal, they have a good amount of seating and a bar to sit at. You would never know there is a huge event hall attached in the back. The event hall is humongous, it has 2 bars available even though 1 was open for this night. Definitely a good place to have an event and not be too crowded. They had plenty of tables available and it didn't get too hot. SERVICE: We were met right away by a waitress who explained how the tables were working and led us to one. She was pretty attentive the entire night and answered all of my questions as this was my first time here. FOOD & DRINK: I throughly enjoyed the plate of picadera we got. We ordered the size for one person to share and it was plenty for 2 people. It came hot and fresh and was delicious. The drinks on the other hand were disappointing. The drinks were $12 each which I assume is up charged because there's a performance. I would assume for $12 I'm getting a nicely sized drink in a glass and it tastes good. We ordered 2 mojitos which you could tell was pre made in a big jar and just poured out. There wasn't any muddled mint or lime in the cup. It just tasted like lime sprite. I was really disappointed in that. They were also charging $165 for a bottle for the table which I thought was a bit much. So I know for next time to pregame at the house before going out there. PERFORMANCE: Kinito was great. I had so much fun! He came out at a good time, maybe 8PM and the event started at 6PM. I left after his first set so around 9:30PM. I'm assuming he had a second set since the event said it ended at 12AM but it was a Sunday night so I didn't want to stay too late. He was an amazing performer.
