As you walk in you'll likely be greeted by the front counter associate or any of them making their way around to clean, or even just having a quick chat with some of the regulars. Pedimos de entrada unas empanadas y llegaron frías, como si fueran del día anterior. The place is beautifully decorated, and the servers are kind, but the food does not meet the expectations you would have, especially if you are familiar with authentic Colombian food. We ordered empanadas as an appetizer, and they arrived cold, as if they had been made the day before. On top of that, the ají is not the traditional Colombian kind, so the experience was disappointing from the start. The ajiaco, which should be one of the most representative dishes, tasted more like a bland potato soup with no chicken flavor and nothing memorable about it. They do not even serve it with cream, which makes it feel even less authentic and less flavorful. You can also feel a change in the atmosphere when the manager or owner arrives. The treatment toward Hispanic customers feels somewhat dismissive, while it seems different with Americans. For example, a group of Americans picked up their plates and she told them they did not have to do that, but when I did the same, that courtesy was forgotten. Overall, it is a visually pleasant place and the waitresses provide good service, but for someone from Colombia, the food does not live up to many expectations. read more

Long wait time and nasty attitude towards DoorDash workers . I waited 15 minutes for a simple order of 1 item . The workers insisted on trying to force me to confirm it when I was already going to. I couldn't find the receipt and it turns out this establishment doesn't give receipts to DoorDash workers apparently.... read more

My family were in town for an event and found this place in walking distance. Though it was a bit hard to find since it's within the courtyard of the buildings. We ordered an appetizer of beef empanadas which were crispy on the outside and saucie on the inside. It had a good amount of cut up beef (not ground meat like some others) and well seasoned with soft potatoes. Loved it!! Then we had the buñuelos which is a perfectly round sweet cheesy fried dough ball. I had theses elsewhere and I didn't care for it because it was dry but not these! They were spongy, sweet, and soft. Not dry at all. We ordered onion steak with side of fried crispy plantains, and a garden salad. Grilled steak with sides of beans and yucca fries. Each plate came with white rice that was flavorful. The service was friendly and quick. The only downside was that their frozen fruit for shakes are presweetned. I went to a Colombian restaurant in Knoxville TN that made me a Lulo shake without sugar which I put sweetner and it was my favorite! So if you can have sugar please try the Lulo juice shake, it's so refreshing! The ambiance was very festive as it should have been since it was Colombia's Independence Day!!! Besides all the flags and balloons the decor is very authentic to Colombia and it was a great experience! Will definitely come back! read more

Amazing food. I am so glad I stopped with a friend after leaving the arena. We ordered a few things because we don't have access to authentic columbian. We got the carne asada fries- 5/5 AMAZING I tried the Bendejas Paisa which was great. The steak was not as tender as the asada, but the flavor was awesome. I'd totally eat this again. My friend got the plantains and the flank steak. Amazing I wish I was closer, so so good.... And we left FULL Get the fries ! read more

I'm not sure why this restaurant wasn't more packed. My wife and I went there for breakfast on the 29th of April and then back again for lunch on the 30th of April. Great atmosphere, the food was amazing and the staff was professional and very, very kind. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, especially if you're looking for new places to dine. The prices are reasonable too. The food was so good that I saved some to take home, and we got another dinner (to go) for our daughter to try, and she absolutely loved it. Wish I could give it more stars, but well worth the 5. I'm definitely returning. Go support them. read more
