This has become our during the week spot. Our daughter goes to dance practice nearby and we date during that time. #shepractices #wedate This was the first Thurs of the year, and not nan of us were practicing Dry January. That said, the bar was FFFUUUULLLLL!! Music bumping, and every table occupied. We had tacos and burgers. (Both pictured) We thoroughly enjoyed both, especially the tacos!

Mussels! Flavorful, buttery, garlicky. Well balanced.

OMFG!!!!!!! I've been here many times, like many times during lunch hours with fellow colleagues. I had their steak quesadilla, chicken sandwich, but when I tell you the mussels were heaven please believe me! Buttery, garlicky well seasoned mussels. With two pieces of toasted baguette soaking in their buttery broth. COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF! This will be my everyday lunch moving forward. BESOS XOXOXO

Food - only had mozz sticks so I cannot speak beyond that in the food category. But they came out hot & not over priced. Service - bartender was super nice & she remembered us from our first visit. She makes a great Lemon Drop martini. There is room for table sitting, high top long tables, people watching window seats & space at the bar. Will come back again. Also they have a few games - we played jenga.

Spotted: this cute little spot in Bushwick right on Broadway! They have a cute brunch menu and also a regular menu. Everything I tried (drinks and food) was so delicious! They make cute/good cocktails as well. . I've had mimosas and spicy margaritas, an egg sandwich, steak egg taco sandwich, steak taco, wings, and a kale avocado Caesar salad; and everything was amazing! No complaints! . I really enjoyed coming here for brunch on a Saturday! It's well decorated and enjoy the overall vibe. The server was real chill and nice! Their brunch menu recently started again and I love the French toast I got and it comes with a choice of alcohol (Bloody Mary, mimosa, or any beer) for only $15! I think that's truly a bargain and there's bottomless coffee too which is a plus! Definitely recommend coming through for brunch!

This is a really cute hidden gem in the area. The fried chicken sandwich is amazing, as well as the Cuban sandwich. The bartender/server was really sweet and the place is overall super low key with a great vibe. I would totally recommend for lunch with a friend or a drink on the weekend.

I've been to Skytown about a dozen times for brunch only on Saturday and Sunday. I enjoy coming here, it's always a good experience. The food is good. Plus it's a great deal - $15 Pre fixe includes a bloody mary, mimosa or any beer. I've literally had everything on the brunch menu and some of my favorites are the tacos, morning burger and egg sandwich. I like to add on a mimosa and drip coffee. The coffee is usually self serve at the bar and if you ask for almond milk they will provide it! There was only one instance where the coffee was terrible and they redid a new batch but it was still bad. They still get 5 stars for trying though!

My favorite dish here is probably the mussels, great flavor and would probably go well with a glass of wine! The first time I came I tried a cocktail which was very good but because the dishes are very flavorful it might have been too much sugar/salt. The portions here are huge as well so I think for the price its very worth it. It's a cute restaurant as well with open kitchen so great for a date if you're sitting at the bar or if you have a group the tables are pretty big as well. Overall, it's pretty spread out inside which I really appreciate and I have found that it's pretty easy to get a reservation last minute. This place was the winner, and it was everyone's first time. We got in at our reserved time, and we had to wait about 5 minutes before our table was ready. Once it was, we were taken care of and quite frankly had no idea what treat we were in for! Let's start with the drinks. They have a drink on the menu called Celadon City. Who won the staff as a pokémaniac?! I had to get it just for the name. The rice vodka, yuzu, melon liqueur, and other flavors made it a fantastic, summery drink. My friends got the Smooth Landing & Smooth Talker ... One was a fantastic dirty martini and the other had the best bite of ginger. The food... Oh my God. We decided to split the breads and spreads and burrata... Each came with their housemade grilled focaccia, and the smoked paprika hummus and ricotta with chili honey? WHEW! The burrata dish with the sweet potato, pesto and tomato jam was a hit too. The menu didn't even say I'd have a balsamic drizzle on top! All of that was just the warm up... My gnocchi dish was spectacular. I'm not even a big mushroom person, but those oyster mushrooms and charred kale were a hit in the pasta. My friends' gigli pasta and mussels were great too. We ended up sharing a bottle of white wine as well, and the dinner was truly a 5/5. 0 I would absolutely go back, and it seems like their menu changes every now and then. I'm looking forward to the next time! Even if it's just for a cocktail.

The ceviche was probably the best ceviche I've ever had in my life. It was blood orange based, but the citrus was really well balanced. The king oyster mushroom dish was soo delicious. The sauce and the texture of the mushrooms were to die for. I've salivating thinking about them right now! The fish was also so amazing. The bottoms were so crispy, it was almost like it was a layer of potato chip! Really great texture, and the fish meat was cooked to perfection. It's a beautifully designed space, and we went in the evening so it was dimly lit and had good tunes, contributing to an intimate and cool vibe. The service throughout was good both by our primary server and the rest of the team that was bringing out dishes. For the food, we did not feel that it was a strong start, but the ending was great! The first dish to come out was their cornbread, which we agreed was very light and had a super tender texture, but there was just nothing special about the taste profile to us. The second dish were their prawns. We couldn't put our finger on the off-putting flavor in there, but we agreed that something just wasn't right and almost tasted spoiled. You also had to work a bit to dissect the prawns and remove the heads and skin. To work for it and then not enjoy the taste wasn't a great combo for us, unfortunately. It started turning around with their sweet potatoes, a type I'd never had before that were "baby" and purple on the outside while white inside. They served the potatoes with a gorgeously whipped Greek yogurt that added the exact right amount of tang to balance the sweet potato and the herby topping. The stars of the night were the coconut basmati rice and the lamb shank. My goodness! The rice dish was so complex from a flavor and texture profile and just hit all the right notes for us, and that lamb! Definitely one of the best lamb dishes I've had - Impossibly tender and seasoned to perfection. One other note I'll make regarding drinks is that they did not have a strong wine list. I ended up ordering a red, but later heard our waiter recommend against getting their wine to another table and suggesting their cocktails and mocktails instead. Just something to keep in mind if you're a wine lover!

We started with two perfect oysters which had ikura, ramps, Thai chili oil and coriander flowers. Then sugar snap peas cooked perfectly with a hint of sesame - oil some special kind. But the superstar starter was the leek custard, with a mound of Osetra caviar atop a little dot of wasabi sprinkled with Alyssum flowers. $55 but worth it! Then we moved on to the seafood risotto which was the most toothsome risotto made with Japanese rice - seafood broth - and a mound of fresh red shrimp, razor clams, scallops hint of chili and a bit of mint. Perfection The charred white asparagus with sable fish with Shiro miso and green garlic was a complete surprise - delicious. Another superstar was the soft egg sitting in a sea of blue crab meat - in a brown butter garam salt bath. Served with a crusty baguette that we used to lap up all the amazingly tasty sauce. Unique - unsurpassed in flavor. We ending the savory courses with a lovely steelhead trout surrounded by thinly sliced fresh asparagus and fava beans with this basil and almond. Despite eating every last drop we made room for strawberry rhubarb pavlova. So well prepared. Little bits of crunchy raw rhubarb and nuts added a nice contrast to this often soft dessert. My favorites were the clams, the tuna, and the rice dish, all three were so simple but done really well. The tuna especially tasted incredibly fresh and balanced, and the clams had such a light, clean flavor that worked perfectly with the wine. You can tell this is one of those places focused on quality ingredients and a more understated approach to food rather than overly heavy flavors. Overall, really glad we went and it's definitely worth trying at least once, especially if you love sharing plates and trying a bunch of different dishes throughout the night.
