So I'm am avid bar goer, usually solo. I like a good spot to just be left alone while I mind my business, possibly while jotting down the occasional scribble from my mind. And I also like a spot that's respectfully social enough in that friendly neighborhood charm kinda way, so I know I can have a casual conversation if the moment strikes me. I gotta say, from the outside, you have low expectations walking in-- so I don't know know why but the food tasted extra amazing. I got the shrimp taco (comes on a corn tortilla for all my gluten free gals & guys) but it made me wish I had the time to try more of their limited food menu. Warm service, looks like they had to hire more recently to keep up with their growth. OMFG!!!!!!! I've been here many times, like many times during lunch hours with fellow colleagues. I had their steak quesadilla, chicken sandwich, but when I tell you the mussels were heaven please believe me! Buttery, garlicky well seasoned mussels. Looked like a nice spot, but I left there hungry and unserved. Sat for almost 15 minutes waiting for the waiter to come take my order. He talked to one patron at the bar and looked at himself in the mirror for about 10 minutes, came and wiped down a table near me and never even acknowledged me or asked for my order... yikes. Even his colleague made eye contact with me several times and never made an attempt to speak or ask what I wanted. If you're gonna be in a predominately black/brown area, at least be able to speak to us. read more

I really enjoyed coming here for brunch on a Saturday! It's well decorated and enjoy the overall vibe. The server was real chill and nice! Their brunch menu recently started again and I love the French toast I got and it comes with a choice of alcohol (Bloody Mary, mimosa, or any beer) for only $15! We stopped in on Sunday after seeing it was happy hour. Great drinks and the bartender was absolutely amazing, she had great customer service and was very nice. My friends and I played Jenga, it was too packed, nice and friendly environment. They also have a free book exchange will is super cool, I'll definitely be back just to bring a book(s) and the playlist was great, I found myself going in and out of song performances in between conversations this will definitely be one of my go to bars! I've been to Skytown about a dozen times for brunch only on Saturday and Sunday. I enjoy coming here, it's always a good experience. The food is good. Plus it's a great deal - $15 Pre fixe includes a bloody mary, mimosa or any beer. I've literally had everything on the brunch menu and some of my favorites are the tacos, morning burger and egg sandwich. I like to add on a mimosa and drip coffee. The coffee is usually self serve at the bar and if you ask for almond milk they will provide it! There was only one instance where the coffee was terrible and they redid a new batch but it was still bad. They still get 5 stars for trying though! read more

First time back after Covid ..... Let me tell you still the same great sky town was a bit disappointed I didn't see my favorite server Eri but our server was fantastic! I LOVE this local bushwick spot and am here frequently with nothing but great experiences. Even on saturday nights still manage to get a table with friends. Staff is always sweet. The incredibly high volume of overpriced places makes appreciate places like this that area inexpensive but still so good. I've seen almost every item get ordered, even the mussels were surprisingly impressive and large. This time we got chicken tacos, steak quesadilla, and mozzarella sticks. I can't love Skytown enough. The service is excellent; the staff is friendly; the food is pretty decent. The portions are decent considering the price. The beef stew is plentiful; the wings are spot-on; and the fries are perfect alone and pair well with the beer selections. It can get crowded at times but that's a testament to its growing popularity and the cozy ambiance. I like to sit in the window and people watch. On occasion I would like to work remotely from Skytown but the wifi is consistently spotty or glitchy. One other thing that I don't like is dogs. Some patrons bring their dogs with them. I had even seen a patron once place her small dog on the bar! Gross. The bar/wait staff is nothing short of exceptional. I love Joe. Whenever he sees me walk in, my beer is already waiting for me at the bar. he has never gotten my order wrong and often checks to see if I need a refill. Moreover, the young lady who serves on occasion (I forget her name as of this writing) is equally attentive and personable. I love them. The owner who sporadically serves could use some training from his staff. He is less attentive and not necessarily friendly and wastes no time letting you know he owns the place. Anyway, I hope they resolve the wi-fi problems and keep the pets out of there. Otherwise, I love it. read more

So I have been here 7xs and each time I get $2off for a well shot upon check-in. The new female bartender (blonde) told me that they don't accept the offer when it's clearly on Yelp. I asked for a manager and she said that there was no manager on duty. Next time I come, I'll make sure that she isn't here because this is bogus. Staff needs to make sure that they accept Yelp offers. Saving the offer for later for someone that knows how to use it. Not coming back if she's here. Margarita didn't taste good anyway. Skytown is my neighborhood bar, and definitely a place I wish I was a regular at. I usually come for late night drinks, but it's also a solid place for brunch or dinner. They offer a variety of cocktails ($10 to $12 ish) and a variety of beers ($4 to $6). I really enjoy the "cool hand," which is a refreshing blend of gin, lemon, cucumber, mint, and soda. Skytown tends to be heavy on the pours too, which is always a plus in my book. I've only been for brunch once, but it was solid. They have everything from eggs to burgers, all of which are reasonably priced. You can either choose a prix-fixe menu for $15, which includes a drink, or order items individually for $11. Although under the JMZ tracks, Skytown is really bright and airy during the day and has great atmosphere at night. I definitely need to come here more! read more

This is one of my favorite spots in Bushwick. Hands down! The food is incredible. I always get the Cubano, and wings. The wings are honestly the best I've ever had. They come out hot and crunchy and are something I always look forward to. We also ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich which was also amazing. The drinks are great and they do have a full bar. And the prices are unbeatable. I don't know anywhere else you can get four speciality drinks, an appetizer, and two entrees for less than $80. I highly recommend Skytown! read more

This is my everyday bar. I come during weekdays alone to get some me time and read at the window, I come nights and weekends with family and friends to catch up. Straight forward beers on tap and in bottles, full bar so I sometimes add that shot of Jameson. The food is surprisingly good, especially the brunch items. Bfast tacos are a must and my guilty pleasure... fries (crispy, hot and salty), goes great with a cold beer. The staff is on their game, always friendly and attentive. I stick with the Salmon & potatoes with broccoli. Maybe because the lighting is so dim inside they weren't aware they left a sticker on the lemon. I mean, it's no big deal in my opinion but a few people I was eating with took issue with it saying, "For the price I'm paying if it's not edible it shouldn't be in my plate." I first visited skytown after a recommendation from a friend. I heard great things about the food so I decided to give it a shot. Within a minute of entering the establishment the owner, Eri, greeted us and brought us a bottle of water. I asked him for recommendations on the beer and food menus and he complied with a smile. I was going to order 3 chicken tacos and he said they were on the bigger side and two might be enough. I was so glad because they are definitely filling. They were amazing! They are on the spicy side so ask for no siracha if you're not into that. The seasoning on the chicken and the Pico de Gallo were to die for. My date had a fried chicken sandwich that was mouth watering as well, with crunchy, perfectly salted fries. He also recommended Bells two hearted and sold it so well that my date who doesnt drink beer ordered it and loved it. The service and food were so good that I became a regular at this bar. I come here at least once a week and I have the tacos most of the time but everything else I've tried has been phenomenal as well. (Fried chicken sandwich, burger, bean tacos etc...)
