Love this place. it's local for me and I come here after the gym, or when I want a good bite to eat/something to drink. recs: the Skybowl, The Double Cheeseburger, and the Kale Salad

So I'm am avid bar goer, usually solo. I like a good spot to just be left alone while I mind my business, possibly while jotting down the occasional scribble from my mind. And I also like a spot that's respectfully social enough in that friendly neighborhood charm kinda way, so I know I can have a casual conversation if the moment strikes me. I gotta say, from the outside, you have low expectations walking in-- so I don't know know why but the food tasted extra amazing. I got the shrimp taco (comes on a corn tortilla for all my gluten free gals & guys) but it made me wish I had the time to try more of their limited food menu. Warm service, looks like they had to hire more recently to keep up with their growth. Good on em the crowd here is pretty local, and happy hour is 12-7 with $8 wine, and the cabernet isn't complete sh¡t.

This has become our during the week spot. Our daughter goes to dance practice nearby and we date during that time. #shepractices #wedate This was the first Thurs of the year, and not nan of us were practicing Dry January. That said, the bar was FFFUUUULLLLL!! Music bumping, and every table occupied. We had tacos and burgers. (Both pictured) We thoroughly enjoyed both, especially the tacos!

Mussels! Flavorful, buttery, garlicky. Well balanced.

OMFG!!!!!!! I've been here many times, like many times during lunch hours with fellow colleagues. I had their steak quesadilla, chicken sandwich, but when I tell you the mussels were heaven please believe me! Buttery, garlicky well seasoned mussels. With two pieces of toasted baguette soaking in their buttery broth. COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF! This will be my everyday lunch moving forward. BESOS XOXOXO

Spotted: this cute little spot in Bushwick right on Broadway! They have a cute brunch menu and also a regular menu. Everything I tried (drinks and food) was so delicious! They make cute/good cocktails as well. . I've had mimosas and spicy margaritas, an egg sandwich, steak egg taco sandwich, steak taco, wings, and a kale avocado Caesar salad; and everything was amazing! No complaints! . Food - only had mozz sticks so I cannot speak beyond that in the food category. But they came out hot & not over priced. Service - bartender was super nice & she remembered us from our first visit. She makes a great Lemon Drop martini. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is room for table sitting, high top long tables, people watching window seats & space at the bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will come back again. Also they have a few games - we played jenga.

I really enjoyed coming here for brunch on a Saturday! It's well decorated and enjoy the overall vibe. The server was real chill and nice! Their brunch menu recently started again and I love the French toast I got and it comes with a choice of alcohol (Bloody Mary, mimosa, or any beer) for only $15! I think that's truly a bargain and there's bottomless coffee too which is a plus! Definitely recommend coming through for brunch!

This is a really cute hidden gem in the area. The fried chicken sandwich is amazing, as well as the Cuban sandwich. The bartender/server was really sweet and the place is overall super low key with a great vibe. I would totally recommend for lunch with a friend or a drink on the weekend.

The ceviche was probably the best ceviche I've ever had in my life. It was blood orange based, but the citrus was really well balanced. The king oyster mushroom dish was soo delicious. The sauce and the texture of the mushrooms were to die for. I've salivating thinking about them right now! The fish was also so amazing. The bottoms were so crispy, it was almost like it was a layer of potato chip! Really great texture, and the fish meat was cooked to perfection. Really sad that they're closing, but looking forward to whatever the chef/restaurant team does next!

It's a beautifully designed space, and we went in the evening so it was dimly lit and had good tunes, contributing to an intimate and cool vibe. The service throughout was good both by our primary server and the rest of the team that was bringing out dishes. For the food, we did not feel that it was a strong start, but the ending was great! The first dish to come out was their cornbread, which we agreed was very light and had a super tender texture, but there was just nothing special about the taste profile to us. The second dish were their prawns. We couldn't put our finger on the off-putting flavor in there, but we agreed that something just wasn't right and almost tasted spoiled. You also had to work a bit to dissect the prawns and remove the heads and skin. To work for it and then not enjoy the taste wasn't a great combo for us, unfortunately. It started turning around with their sweet potatoes, a type I'd never had before that were "baby" and purple on the outside while white inside. They served the potatoes with a gorgeously whipped Greek yogurt that added the exact right amount of tang to balance the sweet potato and the herby topping. The stars of the night were the coconut basmati rice and the lamb shank. My goodness! The rice dish was so complex from a flavor and texture profile and just hit all the right notes for us, and that lamb! Definitely one of the best lamb dishes I've had - Impossibly tender and seasoned to perfection. One other note I'll make regarding drinks is that they did not have a strong wine list. I ended up ordering a red, but later heard our waiter recommend against getting their wine to another table and suggesting their cocktails and mocktails instead. Just something to keep in mind if you're a wine lover!

Without us asking, he brought over extra bread to accompany our lamb tartare. He also gave us complimentary espresso martini shots when we were too full for dessert. We ordered the lamb tartare, French Onion soup, and burger. The lamb tartare was great (especially combined with the salt flakes and sauce, which brought out the lamb flavor in a light way). The French Onion soup was flavorful but light, and the burger (European style) and fries were delicious. The cocktails were interesting. We'd love to come back and try the mussels and creme brulee!

The tables are closely packed, there were fresh flowers at every table, and the floor has a fun black and white pattern. I tried the old fashioned Recette to drink, and the kale and Brussels salad. The old fashioned had a phenomenal blend of flavors. The salad was maybe a bit heavy on the dressing, but the flavors complemented each other well. The portion is small though. Overall, I had a great experience at Recette and would highly recommend them for a light brunch in Brooklyn.

The smaller bites are the best. Yellowfin Tuna has so many flavors to complement, Sugar Snap Peas really sing in their sesame sauce, and the Surf Clam Skewers are just so cool. I like the Sablefish less - I think it belongs on bread, but I did enjoy the Seafood Rice. Very flavorful in a quieter, more subtle way. The Blue Crab was just heaven, soft-boiled egg, chunks of crab in chili. Use the baguette to soak up every single drop. You must order the Pavlova. It is flawless. I think that would've been good, but we ended up getting 4 which was fine as well. We started with the yellowfin tuna and gnocco fritto, which was delicious, but maybe my least favorite bite. We then got the seafood rice, which was probably my favorite. It was a good size, and very creamy. It had an herby seafood topping which was delicious. After that we got the blue crab and soft boiled egg, which came with a baguette. It was super flavorful and the baguette was fresh. We ended with the muscovy duck breast, which was delicious, but a tad tough. Service was great. She was super attentive.
