Had a $5 promo on inkind so I gave this place a "shot" hahaha get it? Ok sorry. The Totoro was phenomenal - 5 stars for that alone. My boyfriend had the Dayglow F09 handbrew, which was good but not $13 good - it was kind of watery. But I loved mine and will be back for more specialty drinks. Overall rating: 4.7 Absolutely adorable spot in Bushwick. A bit of a trek if you don't live in the area, but I've been wanting to try for awhile. Admittedly, I kinda overstayed when I was killing time for a dinner reservation nearby. But the staff was so friendly! I also liked how drinks are so clear with their ingredients and their non-dairy options. I got the Ponya & it was delicious, and the serving size was amazing. The peanut butter cookie was also sooo good. I like the concept of Nightglow, but the seating area kind of feels like a second thought for me. Not sure what would make me want to sit back there. What this place excels at: being pretentious. What it's not great at: customer service. Baristas here are snooty and the vibe seems to be that it's a hangout for them and not a space for customers. Music is also grating and loud. Coffee is pretty good but for $5.44 a cup I'd rather go someplace else. I don't understand their weird boutique dentist office aesthetic either. read more

Absolutely one of my favorite cafes I've ever been to - drinks were sublime. Unique, creative, perfectly balanced and well curated. Their selection of whole bean coffee is also super interesting, with playful and aesthetic packaging. I got the Warhol, which had the perfect amount of citrus, balanced out well with the creaminess. I could easily tell that cream was used rather than just standard whole milk. Silky smooth milk texture, and the coffee itself shined - didn't taste burnt, overly acidic, or poorly extracted. Great ambiance in my opinion as well. There's different seating areas for different parts of the cafe. Dayglow is a concept space with "Nightglow" serving as its nightime cocktail bar experience. I had the chance to chat with one of the brewers there who talked about his experience working for dayglow/Nightglow, and it was super cool. I came here based off a YouTube recommendation from a well known creator in the coffee space - Emilee Bryant. Gotta say, she knows what she's talking about (and if you have any experience in the coffee world, you'd agree too). I'd 100% recommend anyone try out Dayglow. read more

Had a delicious coffee here on a Sunday afternoon. There is a decent amount of seating indoors and out but most seats were full when I was there. I had the French dispatch which was the perfect autumn drink. All of the drinks have interesting ingredients. The specialty coffees are a bit more than you would normally expect to pay but they are crafted very well so imo they are worth what they are charging! Super great matcha for a special occasion (the price is high). Love the concept of a cafe and bar and the vibe is great. The baristas were super nice. Got an Einspanner matcha with oat milk (extra charge) and the coconut top instead of the milk top. Barista recommended coconut top instead and glad she did. It was a delicious combo! I almost don't want to post a review because I wanna keep this hidden gem for myself. Dayglow is everything you would want in a cafe: great selection of artisanal coffee/matcha concoctions, immaculate vibes, and friendly personable service. I came with my laptop to get some work done and I was able to snag a table inside after someone left. I believe they have wifi but you have to ask the staff for the wifi password. I didn't need wifi to work but I saw someone ask and they gave it to them. I don't recall any outlets though so come with a fully charged battery. Aside from work amenities, the place itself is painted a calm baby blue and the natural light from the roof and the glass storefront create a serene oasis for people to enjoy their drinks. I ordered a small Warhol 2.0. The coffee was beautifully presented with an orange wedge and tasted as amazing as it looked. The coconut cream was fluffy, and mixed with the citrusy bright notes of the orange mixed with the light roast espresso was just wow. The service is also super friendly and personable. The staff really make an effort to converse with their customers. I had to go purchase a croissant because the caffeine in the Warhol 2.0 hit harder than I expected and the owner (I think) and I had a laugh. So if you're coming here expecting to get three different artisanal drinks, you may need to reconsider. I came here wanting to try at least two of their coffee concoctions and one drink was more than enough for me. Now I need to go back and try the rest. read more

My boyfriend and I tried the Totoro, a distilled coffee drink, and the Lost in Translation, a zero proof whiskey with cold coffee drink, which were both excellent drinks with complex flavors. Our favorite was the Totoro. We downed it so fast, but it's also a very pretty drink. The Lost in Translation was like a mocktail (coffee-based) version of an Old-Fashioned. Highly recommend this cafe for hanging out or getting work done! The drinks are so good and the staff are super helpful and passionate about their drinks. The menu is very extensive with very unique coffees and drinks. There are two indoor seating areas and an outdoor seating area. There is a concept of dayglow (non alcoholic drinks) and niteglow (alcoholic drinks). Even for indoor seating, there are two areas to reflect the concept!! The interior is very minimalistic and remembers me of aesthetic Korean cafes. For non alcoholic drinks, I recommend try one of the coffees or soba cha for tea. For alcoholic drinks, get the Totoro! It is a black sesame drink that tastes so good - creamy, nutty, and not too sweet! read more

Love day glow! Delicious and clever concoctions. Their space is great, but not a lot of seating. It's bright but I've sat in the bar where the beer is before. I was alone but it was cool. The service is excellent and their barista's are friendly. It's not a drip coffee kind of place. It takes time to make their fancy drinks so tipping feels appropriate. If you have a non-alcohol drinking date and you don't mind a bright setting or a v dark setting (in the back) this is a great place! Outdoor space too, but limited. read more

During the day this place is a delicious cafe, and in the evening it turns into an awesome brewery and cocktail bar. Just a very cool concept with delectable drinks too. They currently allow laptops so please don't abuse this before we lose this spot too like every other cafe. Came here for the niteglow and got the totoro drink. It was extremely good and the first time i had black sesame in a cocktail. my friend got the espresso martini which was rum based and came with a torched marshmallow. the cafe is on the smaller side though (not too many seats) but the ambiance is super neat and clean. there were people working on their laptops even in the evening. the barista was extremely friendly! read more

Cool concept for a day time cafe and Nightglow as their night time bar. Currently, they do coffee flight tastings in the back room as pop-ups. What I love is that they have a long list of creative cold and hot coffee drinks - my weak spot. I've tried a few over the last few months but recently ordered the Moonrise Kingdom which pulled at my heartstrings. The thought behind each drink sets it apart form other cafes. There are about 4 tables with chairs and a long bench along the wall. Airy, bright, a great place to sit solo or for conversation with a fun coffee drink. read more

I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon recently, and was really impressed. There's a ton of seating inside and out, and they have wifi as well, so a great place to chill or to get some work done. The interior is beautiful too! The staff is super friendly, and was happy to give in-depth descriptions to their extensive menu. Their menu is really really large; they have one just for your standard coffee drinks, and one is their special drinks. The latter menu is quite expensive; I think everything was $12+, which is pretty nuts for a specialty coffee. I ended up going for a pour-over, which I really enjoyed! The attention to the detail in the presentation was great; they pre-warmed my mug with warm water so it wouldn't cool the coffee too much. The coffee itself was really nutty, with some caramel notes; exactly the kind of pourover I enjoy. They also carry a huge variety of beans from various roasters, so if you're looking to buy some, also seems like a good place to stop. Would definitely give this place a visit! read more

I ordered Soba tea. the barista brought me with cup and tea pot. You can find a table if you wait about 5min or less. (Counter seats are always available) Bathroom is inside.
