On my last day in New York City before flying back home, I wanted to spend time with one of my favorite people and she recommended we hang around this bar as it is a cool and cute place to be. There's a swap meet outside and inside this bar, and my friend asked me "want to go to a swap meet on Sunday?". I said yes, because swap meets are my jam. We bought some items from the swap meet vendors and that qualified us a free drink ticket. I got the Dirty Birdy, and enjoyed it. I also got a hotdog that they grilled out front, which was delicious. I picked up a cute tote bag that I use all the time. You can find some nice art pieces and clothes at the swap meet here. It made me feel like a cool young person being here. read more

I'm consistently so happy every time I come to Easy Lover! The staff is always very nice. The drinks are wonderful. The bar itself is hip but not full of itself, if that makes any sense. It's the perfect spot for a small hang, a large group, or just a quick solo drink! They are always very welcoming. A solid Williamsburg bar! read more

This review is more for food rather than drink! Chanced upon this place 6pm on a Saturday when I was hungry between work and an evening event. I saw this glorious neon sign "Kitchen Open" beckoning me. Open the door and Korn's "falling away from me" was blasting, the scent of nag champa wafting, and I knew this was the spot for me. I got a breaded chicken sandwich which was bomb, with a good lil side salad. Wolfed it all down with a kolsch and without taking a pic! Actually going to come back for the vegan ceviche and I appreciated that their barfood menu was more fresh and healthy offerings rather than like just, fried things. Hella good vibes all around: All staff were friendly and approachable. It was chill when I arrived but starting to get busy for a show when I left, excited to roll back in here with buds. read more

Came here with some friends on Tuesday for post-work drinks and sat outside - there are plenty of tables and the heaters are fairly effective (better than average). It's a really cool spot with a good selection of drinks on their menu, fair prices, and friendly service. The tables are all equipped with QR code stickers that allow you to pull up the menu and order from there. I opted to keep it simple with a Lagunitas ($7 for a generous draft pour) but they have a good beer selection overall. I wish they had more info about each beer on their menu (eg type, ABV, tasting notes). I suppose it's not a big deal, I could have just looked them up, but it would have saved some time. A coworker got food as well - fries and a chicken sandwich - and she said it was great, although I didn't try the food myself so can't personally attest to it. Overall, wish I lived closer and this place would be my go to bar! Unfortunately coming from the WV is a bit of a trek but I would still consider it to meet friends in the area. read more

Stopped in this bar a couple of times before heading over to Brooklyn Steel for a show. Service was slow at first but the drinks were good and the happy hour specials were pretty well priced. My friend wanted to order the frozen margarita, but it wasn't quite frozen enough so the bartender offered to make her one instead. I thought that was cool of him, instead of serving her a crappy drink. Another cool thing is that they have a decent selection of sliders... and I LOVE SLIDERS!! Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to wait for the food but enjoyed some crispy french fries with our drinks. The bar has an easy, low-key vibe which I really liked and was lively without being obnoxious. If you're looking for drinks before a show or just in the neighborhood, I'd recommend stopping in. I stopped by here late night about a hr before closing but in that hour , i grew a liking for this place .. it's a intimate space but also has an additional space in the back i was told by the dope bartender . (JB ) was friendly and fully aware andknowledgeable of the spots events . I didn't get a chance to eat because the kitchen literally just closed but the menu looked pretty tasty I will def stop by again to hit up one of the many events they have a grab some food .. Great late night spot for some quick grub. Not an extensive menu, but definitively tasty options past 12am that will fulfill your craving. Two sliders for 12$. Fries are 6$ and theres a few different kinds like yucca and beet. Aside from the typical beef (from their neighbors Meat Hook) & chicken options they also have a mushroom croquette type of patty and a beet burger. Pork slider is available as well. The beef was tender and juicy, and the mushroom was delicious as well. Crispy and cheesy. A smart idea would be to round up a gang of friends and all order different sliders because mixing and matching is not an option. The. Get a round of 7$ beer and shots because why not!? Best outdoor space setup for COVID that I have seen, hands down. The extra high roof makes it feel open and well-ventilated, yet it's still warm and sheltered. Amazing job! Great beer and great food, too. They have Maine Beer Company beers on tap which is awesome. Music can be a bit over the top at times, but it's always fun to go here. read more

Easy Lover is a solid bar with a great name. I've been twice now and each time the bartenders were friendly and the service was good, and the bar was full of a good mix of neighbors and folks just having a drink. The wine list is great and has some natural offerings, and the cocktail list is on point. I was also a fan of the frozen margarita, which came with spicy salt (yes please, more of this!) The vibe really is low-key, which makes for a great place to get catch up drinks or take a date, and the music selection is awesome. There's plenty of seating to choose from. I absolutly love everything about this bar. Its cool ambiance and amazing staff will keep bringing me back again and again. I've been there a few times and there was something different going on each time I went.  There are DJs, karaoke, and even a comedy show. The beer selection (I'm a beer snob) and specials are great. I had the pleasure of being served by two lovely bartenders (Anna & Stephanie) and both were helpful in recommending some delicious food. First I tried the small bites. The spicy nut mix and buffalo cauliflower are bursting with flavor and perfect to snack on. Last time I went with a friend who recommended the beet sliders in a kale wrap. I'm not vegetarian but decided to try it any way and boy I was in for a treat. I think I will order them every time I go from now on because they are that good. Great bartenders. In terms of food, my dining companion and I both had the original sliders - really tiny burgers. They were good enough, though you'll feel ripped off after you finish. Cost for food should probably be 1/3rd less than it is. That being said, value is good if you go during happy hour. Side dishes are embarrassingly small for the money. Would only eat here during happy hour. Food aside, it's still worth going here as it's a solid bar, mostly due to friendly, competent staff, with well made drinks and nice atmosphere. read more

This bar is awesome! I went for a comedy show in the back of the bar (Drunk Planet Earth) and stayed afterwards for a few drinks. The beer selection was fantastic, bartenders were very kind, and the place is just awesome! Decently priced, great ambiance, not too crowded. I love this place because it still has a community vibe and character like a dive bar but with a bit more polish to keep up with the changing neighborhood. Great food. Just opened in our neighborhood. We loved Legion (previously here) but EZ Lover is definitely an upgrade. Good drink prices and a kitchen was added that stays open late.
