He suggested we meet up on one his fly-bys and I obliged. The bourbon and whiskey list is EXTENSIVE. If you're an aficionado of either, I challenge you to think of something they might not have. I bet you they'll have it. If you're not into whiskey/bourbon they have cocktails too. They've also got a solid menu of food an snacks. The setup is a really classy looking bar with clean woodwork. The dining area is pretty open spaced. The tables didn't look too close together. I would say this is an excellent date spot. Take a look around the corner to the back of the establishment and you'll find a smaller room with a pool table. We migrated there the moment we found it. It was a bit elevated compared to your typical NYC dive bar, with some cool lighting, a really clean interior, a nice tap list, and friendly staff. I had two pints of beer over the course of about 45 minutes of hanging out--one IPA and one Pilsner, though for the life of me I can't recall the brewery names that went with each.
