This was a great stop this morning. Everything was on point. Food was great, beverages good, staff was good, and there was no wait at the time I went. I went with the Breakfast Burrito which was delicious. My son had the Chicken & Waffles, and our other friend went with the breakfast Sammy The donuts are addictive and a must have with the jam, and you will easily eat them all. This was overall a good stop and I will definitely be returning for another visit when in Seattle. Great job Skillet.

We had a reservation for a group of seven, six of us new to the restaurant. We were seated within a couple of minutes of arrival. It's a cute, open restaurant with a full bar. Once we were seated, our awebwe came to take our drink order and then our food order. The menu had a nice assortment and something for everyone. Once our food arrived, we never saw anyone again until it was time to pay. We all enjoyed our meals, but I would have loved a refill of water. Another issue I had was the added gratuity. The bottom of the menu states that gratuity will be added for parties of eight or more. Our party had seven and the server took the liberty of adding the gratuity. All in all a decent dining experience thanks to the good food. I'd pass on a return though given the experience with our server.

We were looking for a breakfast spot close to where we were staying and found this place. The service was fast and the prices were fair. The food was good and the menu had a decent variety of dishes. The restaurant was clean, even the bathrooms. They had gender neutral restrooms, one single stall and the other with multiple stalls.

Food is ALWAYS FLAVORFUL! Breakfast, Brunch, or Lunch. Friendly staff that is more than accommodating and always ready to provide excellent customer service! Traditional diner vibes with great food, delicious cocktails, and a nice modern ambience.

Came here in a Sunday morning! Place was pretty packed but they got us seating. There's some outdoor seating too which is accommodating of pets. Having a conversation is kind of hard since where we were seated, there were people directly to the left and right of us talking and it's hard not to hear everything. Service was pretty good and fast. Food was decent too. Kind of over-priced for the quality. We heard the chicken wasn't the best so we didn't order any chicken menu items. We got French toast, shareable Mac and cheese and the avocado breakfast burrito with fries. The French toast was ok. Lacking flavor or taste. The Mac and cheese was pretty good but bland and tasted a tiny bit watery. The best item we ordered, that I would order again, was the avocado breakfast burrito. Super tasty and fresh. The fries in the burrito paired nicely as well.

This feel like a very classic Seattle vibe. It's definitely a little more packed than I thought it would be, it's hard to have a more personal conversation, it feels like I'm a part of everyone else's conversation around me. Overall the food is pretty good. I can't say it's worth the price but I think it's pretty typically for Seattle. I would return if I find myself really wanting to feel like a typical seattleite at some point in the future. No parking lot, find street parking.

Skillet Diner in Capitol Hill is an absolute gem, and I have to start by saying how amazing the staff were. As a Florida boy visiting Seattle, I felt immediately welcomed by their friendliness and warmth. They made the whole experience even better. The food was incredible. I didn't have the biggest appetite that day and couldn't take leftovers with me, but I couldn't resist trying the Chicken Chub with bacon jam--it was *so* good. The flavors were out of this world. Also, finding grits that are actually well-prepared is a rare thing, but Skillet nailed it. Their grits were fantastic, and I found myself wishing I could finish every bite. The drinks were just as good, pairing perfectly with the cozy, beautiful decor. It all came together to make the whole dining experience feel special and laid-back at the same time. If you're in the area, Skillet Diner is definitely worth the visit.

My friends and I stumbled upon this restaurant while visiting Seattle. The staff was patient and kind. He guided us through the menu and suggested the popular dishes. We ordered the The Cluck Chub, Chicken Sammy and the Breakfast Skillet. The food looked and tasted amazing! The fried chicken in the sandwiches were tender and crispy, and the breakfast taters/fries were cooked perfectly. The skillet was amazing with the mix of fried chicken, breakfast taters, scrambled eggs, veggies and chorizo sauce! 10/10 recommend if you're in the area for some delicious breakfast food!

It's been a hot minute since I've been up to Seattle and visited my old fave Skillet. SO HAPPY to report this spot still slaps and the service was phenomenal. My friend got the hot honey biscuit and poutine *with breakfast potatoes and caramelized onions instead of fries* - the poutine was insanely good. I got the chicken chub sandwich with a kale Caesar, and it was a flavor bomb to the extreme. Coffee was strong! Vibes were good. It's good to be back.

This place has the best breakfast! Your way eggs, bacon, and sausage is awesome. Flora and Haven, our servers, gave us a wonderful experience at the Skillet restaurant.

We were looking for a sit down breakfast in the downtown core on a weekend. It took a long time to be acknowledged at the entrance, and even longer to be seated. It was odd because there were a lot of tables open and a lot of wait staff running around. It seemed that staff coverage (who was doing what) was a bit ad hoc. A lot of tables needed bussing. Once we were seated it took a long time for someone to come take our order. A very pleasant woman finally stopped and asked us if we'd been served (we hadn't) and once she took us on, things improved. Food was substantial in size. I think they could make portions smaller and no one would go hungry; I know that's the diner ethos but it seemed a bit much. My chilaquiles were huge (more like breakfast nachos); the over easy eggs were well done but the whole thing was a lot wetter (sauce + salsa) than I prefer. My guy liked his chicken and waffles well enough. I would come back to Skillet if I was absolutely famished and needed a lot of breakfast in a sit down environment.

I've been to skillet a few times and every time I leave full and satisfied. Their food is delicious for both brunch and dinner. I've tried their salmon sandwich, hot honey chicken sandwich (with an egg) and a breakfast plate containing: eggs, bacon, potatoes and a biscuit (the biscuit was wonderful). My bfs go to order is the chub with a side tomato bisque soup but last time we visited he loved my hot honey chicken sandwich so much he considered switching his future order . Tips / recommendations: fries over the breakfast potatoes (garlic fries were phenomenal) and make reservations if possible, especially during brunch. This place tends to get busy and there are usually people waiting to be seated.

We got a few items here and either the item was a major hit or a major miss. So overall 3 stars ks what we give this place. The service was good, the inside is not bad, it's just a bit tight and hard to move around.

You order at the front before being seated which means food arrives shortly after sitting down. With that noted, I wouldn't return to wait that long. First visit, to try a relatively famous spot, sure. Inside is a bit tight, but conversation can be had. My friends got the lumpia-silog and bistek-silog. Lumpia was tasty, but not particularly outstanding. Bistek was dry. The beef was tough to chew, seasoned alright on the outside but likely overcooked if not old. I opted for the oxtail silog which was delicious but pricey. Oxtail Silog - for $29, this plate definitely gets a double take. After waiting in the hour line, I figured I should commit for a tasty meal. Oxtail comes in a side bowl alongside a bit of hearty broth which the rice absorbs well. Meat is tender, falls off the bone, but pulling around oxtail bones isn't the simplest, so definitely have to bite around crevices. All in all, this plate was delicious but think it comes with a huge tourist tax I've had better value for oxtail plates. Ube Pancake Stack - four sizeable pancakes. Some pictures, including my own, don't do these justice. I can definitely get behind the hype. They're drenched in a rich ube sauce and there's plenty to go around. Honestly the ube flavor is present on the pancakes, but it feels relatively faint because the sauce is extremely sweet and flavorful, minimizing the pancake taste and expanding the gap between flavors. That being said, I think I would enjoy the pancakes with less sauce (or preferably, on the side).
