We ate here yesterday and had such a fun time. The place is lined wall to wall with TVs so I'm sure the game day experience would satisfy the pickiest of sports fan. The bar area was plenty big to accommodate larger groups and the bar size was perfect for the space. We sat at the bar and were greeted by the bartender extraordaire, Silvia. While we only ordered draft beer, she was lightning fast in delivering it to us and was equally ninja-style when taking our order. As a longtime regular and I speak for the other regulars that frequent this neighborhood spot, I was very disappointed last night. After watching the food quality decline over the past couple months, the liquor selection dwindle down because of poor planning, warm beer, and even the beer draft system go down, I approached management about the issue letting him know the concern and discontent of regulars. Our concern is that we enjoy coming to the business, however at this point it's for the friends and people there and definitely NOT the food anymore. And instead of simply asking what the issues were (customer service), I was told "it's America go somewhere else then".... I explained that a simple glance across the bar showed a lot (literally one person at the bar had food / and they had cold nachos mind you) and I was told again, "it's America, you have a choice to go somewhere else"... I just thought it should be known the attitude that is had there and if they'd treat a regular like that how would they treat a new customer?... Even a lady and her husband that were sitting close by and that overheard the conversation made it a point to say hey there is definitely a problem with management here. We never get welcomed or thanked for coming in and when there's a problem with food, no one ever comes out to remedy or apologize for the issue. I'm definitely rethinking my options, especially since RCB is right across the parking lot and they apparently want our business and value regulars and the last thing I would hear there is "find somewhere else"... A quick scan of other reviews shows we are not the only one who feel this way. Another one of my favorite places to go in Kennesaw. Sidelines has great bands and a lively crowd that comes out every night, composed primarily of students from Kennesaw State University. The food that Sidelines offers is typical bar food; however, that is not what makes Sidelines so special. Sidelines has enough big screen TVs, pool tables and dart boards to keep anyone entertained for many hours. The lineup of bands that perform at Sidelines, while they may be the typical multi-cover bands, put on a great performance on the weekends. Sidelines also offers a great beer selection as well as many drinks and shot selections created by the bar tending staff and management. Being from San Francisco, it's been difficult to find good clam chowder and this place has authentic home made clam chowder. Me and my husband came in to eat in the evening on a weekday, and the service wasn't very good; the waitress had no personality. One waitress was wearing very short leggings shorts; looked like underwear. There should be a better dress code. We came in to dine and relax to find loud music and felt like we were in a low class bar. The food was ok; kind of like Applebee's at best. Looked like the only concerns were at the bar alone. Let me start my rant describing my disappointment by saying I've been coming to Sidelines for 10 years. It's always been my go to spot for lunch dinner or just a cold beer. Today, (Sunday) I came in for a late lunch but the bar was full so I decided to take a seat at the tables surrounding the bar. The female bartender, never seen her before, walks over and begins by tell me "next time see the hostess to be seated at these tables". Well ok fair enough but not gonna be a next time. Here's a tip...first impressions are lasting ones. Don't lecture customers. I get that all day at work and I don't need it when all I want to do is eat, drink a beer and relax. Adios Sidelines! In the interest of fairness, I want to update that I was contacted by the manager today and he offered a sincere apology and assured me that steps were going to be taken to correct the problem. He recognized that longstanding patronage is important to their business and ask I consider coming back. I am considering. When owners and management listen to their costumers and own up to mistakes it shows they are interested in continually improving. A business cannot rest its laurels on a couple good reviews. Responding to Adam's comment on my previous review. The order was take out. So no server and didn't discover the bad food until we got home. In fact this was your second chance. Failed before and failed this time. I know a little about the restaurant biz. An expiditor is usually the line of quality assurance. That person is supposed to check the quality of all food leaving the kitchen. Re-orders are expensive. Wasn't done at either time. Better burgers can be had cheaper at chain restaurants. Everyone has an off night right? Well, after last nights order, I can no longer not tell people about the continued failing experiences at sidelines in canton. We have even called the manager, who assures us the order will be correct, it NEVER is. If you order take out or delivery, they always put your ranch dressing inside with the food. It melts the lids and there is always hot ranch all over your food. We have talked to the manager about this SEVERAL times. Last night, my husband went inside the restaurant and spoke to the manager directly who assured us that it would be taken care of, AGAIN. It was not. On top of that, this is the second time in a row that the food has made us sick. We were both up with stomach aches and we ate different items. The quality of food has declined SEVERELY in the last year and we won't be ordering from there again. Since management does not care about the customers, maybe this review will save you a stomach ache and frustration of spending good money for something that will just make you feel really bad. I love their food. but I've visited this specific location twice now and had the worst experience. one server Katie made it even remotely better. we were seated right away. (right beside the hostess station) no one showed to take our order. there were at least seven to eight people standing around the hostess statio flirting and just messing around. finally after at least ten minutes Katie noticed us from the back of the restaurant and came to ask if we'd been waited on. after discovering we hadn't she went into action. she took our drink and food order. and sent the manager over. (I didn't ask for him) when he showed up he was useless all he did was make excuses and very snide about it. so I just asked hi to go away. katie continued to work her butt off. to make it good. so will continue to order from door dash but will never is it one again I'd rather pay a delivery service than any of the useless staff there. read more

Recently went back and was extremely pleased. I've been twice within a week. Had the chicken tacos first. DELICIOUS! The meat was so tender and flavorful. Seems the new manager Gary seems to be more focused on the running of the business, and does not care about the employees moral. Without good employees your business is sunk. The service at this location was terrible. Sat at the bar and waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged by the bartender, ordered drinks and said we were ordering food too. Watched him run around serving only regulars and ignoring everyone else, even continuing to serve the ones who were clearly wasted and should've been cut off. I had a lot of choices but decided on Sidelines because it was within walking distance from my hotel and there was a huge spotlight outside as if there was a hollywood premiere. It wasn't. Sidelines is real dingy and it reeks of cigarette smoke. The drinks were a decent price but the place was practically empty. This place is a disaster. I gave 2 stars because of the service (with 5 other people) and it was a poker night. Other than that, the shrimp po boy sandwich I ordered was horrible. The bread was stale before they tried to toast it, and its obvious the shrimp was not fresh. It comes frozen and they thaw it out similar to the the mini frozen shrimp kroger or publix sells. The food came out at 3 different times. Sidelines is your typical neighborhood sports bar, installed in a strip mall of the Town Center local town. I used to come here every now and then to play trivia. Definitely a "dude" hang out, without question. If you don't pound beers and like your entree fried, you should probably stay away. They don't take kindly to momma's boys. Actually, you know Chatchki's in the movie Office Space? This is pretty much it. They have fajita poppers and extreme nachos and all that kind of jazz. They do have a lot of pool tables and dart boards, and I guess a fair number of TVs, but I'd rather hit up a place with more personality or better displays if I'm going to watch a game. Since Last month though, service has been HORRIBLE. On 7/25 we're here for first time for their Trivia Night and the whole place had only a couple Server & I'm guessing Manager/Owner? We sat for over 1/2 hour, staring at Host and many tables came afterwards and when Server finally arrived? She went to other tables like weren't even there. She knew the people on table next to ours, and I guess you need to be a "known" customer to get their attention. I'm sure those event nights are to attract more business.. unfortunately Management didn't care about not having enough Staff to cover a busy night like that. Tonight 8/3 has been the worst experience here. Our Server, Bree, was so bad we had to keep asking for beer and iced tea refills.. in a Sports Bar! And our food took about 1 hour and she never cane back to check on us.. that's because she's more interested in large behind us.. again. She forgot our to-go order and NEVER came back with our cake to go. We had to ask a Hostess to get that for us. It's $100 check to be treated like that? Yeah. I'm visiting my sister from California, so I know good food. First of all, I LOVED the fried pickles they were lightly seasoned and golden. The potato skins were nice and crispy. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich trying to compare it to the place I go to back home and it holds up well. We also got the fettuccine Alfredo, which was divine! The tortilla sandwich was great too. Our server, Ashley I believe, was 3 days new and wonderful. She was a delight to chat with and gave us her suggestions which did not disappoint. She forgot to tell us about the free cake day before the time ran out, but none-the-less, she made sure we got our cakes anyway. Thank you for that!
