The bar

I so wanted to love this location of Three Roses Tavern. The Marietta location set the tone and so I had high expectations. The decor is modern but not sterile. I love that they kept the photos of old Canton. It wasn't very busy and the hostess approached us quickly. It was a pretty underwhelming experience though: no welcome or smile like at the Marietta location. How do hosts/hostesses not understand they set the mood for the diners experience? We were sat in a booth in the back, near the bar. A SuperTri was playing on the tv which was fun to watch between conversations. My husband ordered the gyro sans onion and although the display was appealing, it was pretty basic. A Fried Green Tomato BLT is one of my favorite sandwiches. It was pretty but I couldn't find or taste any bacon. The tomatoes were chewy and stringy. One shouldn't have to work that hard to eat a tomato. Ugh. The fries, however, were delicious- not soggy served in a cute fry basket. Yum! Bobby, our server, was attentive, friendly, and very understanding. He's a keeper! We may try this again but for a fried green tomato BLT, I'll head to 61Main in Jasper. Perhaps when Three Roses Tavern's health score comes back up, I'll give it another go.

Feels like...a quiet and classy big city neighborhood diner. Nestle yourself into the comfy booths or welcoming tables for larger parties. Menu has just enough appealing offerings. Service is welcoming and well-paced. Big screen tvs allow game viewing from many angles. Start to finish, Three Roses is a winner!

Been here 5 times. Everything on the menu has been awesome. Possibly the best place and menu in Downtown Canton. Love the small bar and the menu is awesome. Service is always on point. Bougie sports bars works for me.

These beer prices seem inflated to me

Cozy rear bar area with a smaller bar in a lounge-like atmosphere with a HUGE TV on the back wall above a few sizable booths (and a few other smaller TVs to watch sports), but even more expensive than recently opened Downtown Canton restaurants. I'm sorry, but charging $7 for a 16 oz. Michelob Ultra is wild to me. If you pay those prices that's on you, but if so, expect to continue to pay similar inflated prices if/when new restaurants pop up.

The grouper picatta idms DELICIOUS!!

Upscale sports bar! The vibe is cool but they mix it with a sports bar so that's kinda weird. I felt like I was on a cruise ship for some reason. The place is super cute and they have a downstairs. Nice Bar! I'm not a TV Lover when I eat out but if that's your thing, they have it! We were greeted right away but the hostess seemed confused by Who's section was next and come To find out she was our server! She seemed pretty new but when asked what their seasonal DARk beer was, she was able to answer it. That was a super plus for my husband. We decided to order a salad to split, and it came out with some weird pickle relish on it, which I didn't find I liked at all. They were nice enough to take it back and put that on the side and bring me a new salad. we also ended up splitting the burger with fries, which are very good. The burger is totally big enough to split. They were going to charge us a split charge, but since we ordered drinks salad and dessert, they didn't charge us for that. That could've been a negative for sure. I ended up getting a martini which was delicious and my husband enjoyed the dark seasonal beer. The burger was great. We even got the beignets for dessert which were quite tasty. We were surprised by how cute the place was (no more sandwich shop, love the decor) and we're glad that they're an addition to the downtown Canton area. We look forward to supporting local and returning to try more of their good options on their menu. The table service was SPOT ON, they filled your water and kept the table super clean! Pet peeve of mine to clear the dirty dishes and they were ON IT!!!!

It was cool enough that the fans did not need to be on and it was nice to not have a distraction of televisions that permits the inside dining area. I was greeted right away. Our server, Delaney was awesome. She made great recommendations and I loved the new lunch dish that she recommended to me: the Thai Chili Crunch Bowl. The dish was amazing with steamed jasmine rice, chicken, green onions, and more. I loved it! My husband got the lunch 6 pc wing combo. The wings were fresh and a good size. The fries were hot and seasoned. The bathroom was dark but clean. When we were getting ready to leave, someone came out and wished us a good day. Outstanding service!

Service. Strips. Sauce…read more I've been to Sidelines before and I'm never really disappointed in what I get, but it's also pretty simple bar food. The Chicken Tenders were exactly what I wanted, but I'm pretty sure I've had the exact same ones from other sports bars. I think the Tyson chicken breast strips are good (and I'd continue to get them), but they aren't really something special. I'd prefer wings and things. The sauce I got them tossed in was really really good. I got the Buffalo-aki wing sauce flavor and additionally requested the Lemon-Pepper seasoning... yum! The sweet potato fries were great. I really liked the way they were cut, and they weren't too greasy at all (like some fries). They were, however, not really seasoned... but it didn't matter when I paired it with the sauce. Which, by the way, the Honey Mustard sauce was especially good. I don't usually see Fried Green Beans on a menu, so I was expecting something really good and to add a lighter veggie to my meal, but they weren't great. While they were really tender, the breading was very thick and greasy. They tasted good in the first few bites, but it was hard to get through after a while. Would not recommend. The service at this location is particularly excellent. I had multiple people check in on me to see if I had been helped already. I was wearing a shirt with a small emblem on it, and multiple people pointed it out and thanked me for my military service. And they were all very personable and kept up a fun smile. Sidelines would be a great place to choose for wing night, and they've got lots of fun side options. It's pretty average bar food at a pretty average price.

I visited on a Thursday just before PM in mid-January and received a warm and friendly welcome. At this early our there were a few patrons about so there was no trouble getting a table. The darts, bowling, and arcade looked enticing but I was on a timeline and couldn't partake. They have a mix of 80's and later music that was very enjoyable and at just the right volume. I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken. But unlike the typical serving of a flat piece of chicken these were two chicken breasts on top of chunky mashed potatoes made with peel on, and topped with a jalapeno bacon gravy. The textures and flavors were perfect and despite the visibility of jalapenos in the gravy, the heat was barely detectable. The side of green beans had a wonderful garlic seasoning and were perfectly cooked and had that nice crunch still in them. Multiple staff came by to chat and ensure everything was perfect and ensure my drink was always refilled, and even management came by to check my table. Their friendliness was warm and genuine and I was very impressed. I look forward to trying some of their other dishes.

The space, the concept, the vibe all work. The bartender was excellent. Very professional, very kind, and clearly doing everything he could to hold the night together. I honestly felt bad for him. He was busting his ass nonstop and never seemed to catch a break. Unfortunately, the kitchen was an absolute disaster. From the start, four or five items on the menu were immediately unavailable. As the night went on, more and more dishes were 86'd. The message coming out of the kitchen was that they simply did not have the ingredients to cook what was on the menu, which is a pretty alarming thing to hear as a guest. Things got even stranger when we learned there was no chef in the kitchen. Instead, the general manager was back there trying to cook. It very clearly was not working. We ordered appetizers and waited about 45 minutes for what I believe was a seafood dip. When it finally arrived, it came out as a thin, runny soup. Not a dip. A soup. On top of that, it was so aggressively spicy it was nearly inedible. It honestly felt like no one back there had ever made the dish before. The food, flat out, gets a zero from me. If I could give it a negative score, I would. That said, the front-of-house staff deserves credit. They were polite, professional, and clearly trying to manage an impossible situation created by the kitchen. I felt for them, because they were the ones having to face guests while everything behind the scenes was falling apart. Again, this is based on a single experience, and I truly hope it was an off night that's been corrected. If not, I don't see how a place like this could survive. The concept is good, the people up front were good, but the kitchen that night was a complete failure. The entire 2 hour + experience was comp'd.

B&B got their hooks in us! Husband was craving a burger, I wasn't really wanting anything specific; we just didn't want to go major chain. Keep them dollars local, y'know? Help a real person. Anyhoo, I did a quick search and asked if he wanted to try B&B again. Thank goodness he agreed, y'all. My only gripe with B&B is their parking lot. It rivals Trader Joe's for impracticality. So take your compact car! They had the corn hole stowed but heaters were blazing and there were people dining on the patio when we walked in. Better ye than me, folks! We were seated immediately and then we met our delightful server... Early server spotlight for Owen. Such nice energy for a gloomy Wednesday evening, really upbeat without being annoying, the perfect level of attentive. Go when he's there and reward his awesomeness as well! Okay, I decided this afternoon that I wanted a li'l blue plate special for dinner. And Husband wanted a burger. He got a spicy smash burger, the actual name escapes me. Spicy & smashed, she was! There was a good amount of heat from the pickled jalapeños so he took a few off. His recommendation is that they go for a smattering of the diced variety instead. (I've created a monster!!!) He was also very happy with his battered fries. Unless I'm misremembering, they remind me of A&W fries; not as seasoned or as battered as Checkers, but so good. What did I get? You're sweet to ask! I did three sides: garlic green beans, fried Brussels and fried okra. Yes, yes, and yes. They are so wild, I think all three were fresh! Can you even?! You know exactly what I'm talking about when I say frozen fried okra has a taste. If this was frozen ever, they need to patent that technology. The garlic green beans were giving Chinese food but better. Really balanced seasoning, good crispness, flavor. Green, if you can imagine! And the Brussels sprouts... With bacon and sauce... Those leftovers will hate to see me coming. "Leftovers?" I sense you ask incredulously. Yes. Because while perusing the menu online, I saw a nice, big picture of their Butter Toffee Cake. And I was instantly imbued with the knowledge that this cake would heal all my past traumas, pay off my student loans, and give me winning lottery numbers. Only time will tell on all counts. But if you order one thing at that restaurant, I demand it be that cake. The person handling those cakes went to the Hogwarts' Academy of Culinary Wizardry. I can hardly describe it and I have no idea what flavor ice cream is on top except it's the best one. If you like food, but especially butterscotch, or not - you need this cake. I blacked out after that and woke up here on Yelp, so... Please go try that cake.
