I explored this bakery today. It is typical Asian bakery and gives me 85 degree vibes. Prepackaged breads and pastry, a cake case and a refrigerated case for more fragile offerings. Friendly service. Constant stream of customers. Please come and create your own experience.

Loved them coconut twist along with the taro root buns. Both weren't too sweet, dry or stale, but extremely delicious!!!

With so many Asian Bakery Shops Sheng Kee Bakery comes on top located in a busy Asian Mall with so many surrounding business. Been a regular customer for the past nine years and the staff are so attentive and the prices are hard to beat. Am always here for their freshly bake buns prefer custard, coconut and mung beans are my favorite. My co-workers and I would come by every now and then usually on the weekdays since its close to work. They have their weekly specials a real bargain can't missed on that. Definitely my go to for their savory buns and the drinks are very affordable.

Picked up some bread for my mom. I think they upped their baked goods as they seem to be selling similar baked items like their competitors.

Lots of parking right infront of this bakery and its right next to goncha and my fav dry cleaner kathy! As u enter, u can smell the aromatic desserts. They have a big variety of desserts, breads, cookies, cakes and savory bites to offer. Its good to see that everything is neatly segregated and clearly marked. I particularly enjoy their swiss roll cake slices and intricately designed strawberry wheel cake/ black forest chocolate cake/ teddy bear cakes. They are not crazy sweet and are almost 40% off on prices if u compare to P&B Service is average but its a good value for your buck.

On a food adventure with a friend to Fremont, we made a stop here before our lunch next door. This was a good sized store with its self-service display cases of Chinese buns, pastries and various baked goods in plastic bags. The drill is you grab a tray and tongs and pick out the bakery goodies that you want and pay at the counter. Besides pastries, there are various flavors of bread on top of the display cases and cream cakes and other sweet desserts in the refrigerated cases and hot desserts like egg tarts that you order from the clerks. They coffee drinks featured Peet's. I bought: Black Sesame Toast. My favorite bread toast here. Purple Romance with fresh taro. Bought it so friend could compare to my favorite taro bun from the other chain bakery, where we were stopping later in the day. Friend got HK Pineapple Bun, Green Tea Walnut Bun and a Portuguese Custard Tart. They have a lot of choices here for you to fill your Chinese baked goods cravings.

Serendipitous find. I spotted this place on my way to Loving Hut. I wanted to get moon cakes for the mid-autumn pray that Friday. They had an array of selections. I loved the fact that they sell individual moon cakes and mini moon cakes as well. The chocolate lava cake is dense and appears like a mochi consistency, but once you get to the center, you will get an oozing of the chocolate sauce filling. I got a bunch of the mini red bean moon cakes to try even though I bought a box of red bean moon cakes. The box is for the pray. The mini ones are to be enjoyed immediately. Both my kids and I really liked it. I don't think this is close to the taste that I remember from Eastern Bakery in San Francisco, but it does the job. I ended up praying a week after. I took 4 out of the box and gave my mom and sister the rest. Friendly ladies working. They accept cards.

Sheng kee always smells so good inside! The second I step in I want to buy everything to try. I got some buns and a slice of cake here, and all of them were great! I love the bbq pork pineapple bun, and the strawberry chocolate cake slice was really light and sweet.

My go to place for cakes! My favorite one is the passion fruit mousse cake as it's creamy and not too sweet.

First off, the place is super cute but also kind of overwhelming in the best way. There are literally walls of bread and pastries everywhere, and so many options that I didn't even know where to start. I went in planning to spend just a few bucks on Señorita bread and somehow walked out $20 deep with a whole box of stuff. I ended up trying turon, a puto sampler, a bunch of different donuts, and of course the Ube Señorita bread. Honestly, everything was so good. Like fresh fresh. The bread was still warm in my hands, which made it even better. The staff didn't really speak much English, but it honestly wasn't an issue at all. They were super patient and helpful, and still managed to explain what everything was so I could try new things. At the end, I just told one of the ladies I had $20 and wanted to try a variety, and she literally put together a whole selection for me. That was probably my favorite part. The line was kind of long, but it makes sense because the food is clearly worth it. If anything, it just reassured me I was in the right place. Overall, if you're even thinking about trying Señorita bread or just want to explore Filipino pastries, this spot is 100 percent worth it. Just be prepared to go in for one thing and walk out with way more.

I rarely go up to San Francisco which has some good bakery shops that makes great pineapple buns. I found this place on Yelp that carries pineapple buns. When I came Sunday evening, they had none left. The cashier said she will set aside some for me the next day for pick up at lunch. Sure enough I was able to get 4 pineapple buns plus I thought I try their bbq pork buns. The pineapple buns were soft and the topping wasn't as flaky as the Hong Kong pineapple buns. The sweetness level and bun were light whereas the Hong Kong is much sweeter and slightly heavier. I say their pineapple bun is decent and their bbq pork bun is smaller than the Hong Kong version. I rate this place a 3.

The lamination and butter was spot on. The filling was just a touch too sweet for us. Had the original and the apple cinnamon. Didn't except the apple to be a fave, but it was. Even the malasadas were underwhelming and if you think they are similar to Leonard's, then this does not come close. For the Portuguese tarts, they were served a bit cold. I'd recommend reheating them. The crust was so oily it seeped through the napkin and the filling was overly sweet. I took one bite and couldn't finish it. Overall, the texture and flavor didn't meet expectations. Service was decent but the staff were not friendly. This was a bit of a letdown. If you can, I'd suggest driving or taking the train to SF for this better spot, Holy Nata. It was so much better.
