First off, the place is super cute but also kind of overwhelming in the best way. There are literally walls of bread and pastries everywhere, and so many options that I didn't even know where to start. I went in planning to spend just a few bucks on Señorita bread and somehow walked out $20 deep with a whole box of stuff. I ended up trying turon, a puto sampler, a bunch of different donuts, and of course the Ube Señorita bread. Honestly, everything was so good. Like fresh fresh. The bread was still warm in my hands, which made it even better. The staff didn't really speak much English, but it honestly wasn't an issue at all. They were super patient and helpful, and still managed to explain what everything was so I could try new things. At the end, I just told one of the ladies I had $20 and wanted to try a variety, and she literally put together a whole selection for me. That was probably my favorite part. The line was kind of long, but it makes sense because the food is clearly worth it. If anything, it just reassured me I was in the right place. Overall, if you're even thinking about trying Señorita bread or just want to explore Filipino pastries, this spot is 100 percent worth it. Just be prepared to go in for one thing and walk out with way more.

The ladies are so superb service has been top notch no complaints and I can smell the freshly bake breads. My favorites are the Spanish bread commonly known as a señorita bread stuffed with buttery breadcrumbs and brown sugar a great breakfast snack goes very well with halo-halo a traditional Filipino dessert then there's a hopia monggo stuffed with mung bean paste, hopia ube both 4 for $5.99 and chicken empanada for a mere $3.25 which had pork and beef but everything else is well stock and organized they even have drinks. Valerio's Tropical Bakery is on my top list of freshly baked Filipino bread rolls.

The presentation was absolutely beautiful, making it the perfect centerpiece for the celebration. The cake itself was outstanding - light, delicate, and made with fresh, juicy mangoes. I especially loved the slight hint of tartness from the mangoes, which perfectly balanced the subtle sweetness of the cream. It was refreshing to enjoy a cake that wasn't overwhelmingly sugary and let the quality of the ingredients shine. This was my husband's very first crepe cake, and he absolutely loved it. In fact, our entire family enjoyed every bite. If you're looking for a dessert that's elegant, fresh, and not overly sweet, I highly recommend this one. We'll definitely be back to try more flavors, I'm especially excited to try the Black Sesame Crepe Cake next!

We've stopped by here a few times before but never actually bought anything. Today we finally came…read moreback because we noticed the other day that they had a special. 5 buns for $10 or 10 for $16.99! I told my husband we had to come back on the weekend so we could stock up on buns to eat for the week. We arrived around 12:30 pm and there were a few people eating in the front restaurant area. They currently have an XLB and wonton noodle special for $8 each, and we also noticed they have different weekday specials for around $6.50. We'll definitely be back to try some of those! But today, our mission was the buns. They have a really good variety to choose from. My husband picked out 10 and then told me I should get 10 too. I went for a variety, while hubby mainly loaded up on the custard buns. The buns are a good size, and the custard buns were packed with custard! I also tried the BBQ pork bun, which wasn't bad. The pork floss bun especially brought back memories of my mom packing them in my school lunches when I was younger. There were so many other choices, hot dog with green onions, regular hot dog buns, chicken mushroom, ham and cheese, ham and corn, tuna, taro, red bean, and quite a few others. I picked up a chicken mushroom bun to try as well. I was a little sad they didn't have a plain green onion bun since that's my favorite, so I ended up going across the street to a dim sum to-go place to pick one up. Overall, you really can't beat the price and variety, especially with this special. If you like Asian bakery-style buns, this is a great place to stock up. We'll definitely be back -- next time to try some of their food specials too!

This spot is takeout-only, so don't plan on stopping by for long. Finding parking isn't difficult…read morebut might take a minute on busy days, as it shares a parking lot with the rest of a popular plaza. The store itself is easy to find as well, with a clear label outside. Walking in, it looks half-closed--their cakes are all stored in a large refrigerator, with nothing in the case on the counter. There is a sign proclaiming "takeout only" in slight disarray, and the seating is pushed to the side. That said, the service is friendly and the employees are quick to help you and show you what they have in stock for takeout. I ordered the 4" Berry Berry Light Cake for a birthday, and they were able to write a birthday message on the cake board, which I really appreciated. The cake also tasted very light and the sweetness was subtle, which I really enjoyed. The berry flavor in the sponge was a little too subtle, though. My main concern is that the cake does not fully resemble the picture they advertised online. It is missing the freeze-dried berries on top, and the berry glaze did not reach as far down the cake as was shown in the photo. Because the berry glaze is the main source of the berry flavor, this was a little disappointing. Also, the cake was not finished when I came to pick up the cake (and I was ~5 minutes late). I'm uncertain if this is for freshness or if there is another reason. Overall, I like the spot for the fresh and light cake. It's pleasantly unique compared to your standard sheet cake, and everything is rather cute. However, it may be a better idea to buy the cakes in-person to be 100% sure of what it will look like, though daily stock is definitely more limited than if you place an order online. I hope they reopen their indoor seating soon.

A visitor from my office gave us pate chard and pork & egg bun which I thought was nice. I didn't get the chance to ask where. I'm only aware that he lived in East San Jose. I looked around Yelp and found this place and another off Tully. I didn't want to drive far so returned back to this bakery and sure enough. He bought it from here. The pork was sweet and the egg was hard boiled in the taller bun. The late chard I liked better. It had more flavor with a hint of spice. When I have cravings, I'll come back here.

The pastéis de nata was created by the monks in order to survive after the monastery was dissolved. That same recipe is still being used at that shop to this very day. Although I wasn't expecting a replica of the original, I did expect it to capture the core characteristics of a Portuguese egg tart. That said being said, I think the crust isn't bad but the texture of the custard more like a gel than a custard. Also I couldn't really taste any custard flavor.
