I don't know if you can imagine my joy when I saw the Paris Baguette sign off the main road while heading to the resort. As a Bay Area foodie, that sight instantly made my day. If you know, you know. The pastries here are absolutely worth the detour--and honestly, wherever I see a Paris Baguette, I do pull over. That includes locations I've visited in Northern California, North Brunswick, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and even the one here in Charlotte down in Pineville. It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I'm in that area, I always make a point to stop in and pick up a couple of their delicious croissant-donut pastries and marzipan or almond croissants. That's the beauty of this bakery--it's a chain, yes, but the consistency is what keeps me coming back. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, I had to stop at this Hilton Head location--and I didn't come empty-handed. Food connects people, and bringing pastries to your host is always a winning move. I picked up three different varieties of their famous croissant-donut style pastries (similar to the well-known cronut): * Chocolate * Tiramisu * Mango And I added two large almond croissants that were beautifully filled, flaky, and indulgent. Everything looked fresh, full, and irresistible. The setup inside is easy and efficient. It's self-serve: you grab a tray, line it with parchment, use the tongs, and select whatever catches your eye--from baguettes to cakes to coffee drinks. Checkout was quick, Apple Pay was accepted, and the whole experience felt smooth and well organized. The space was clean, friendly, and inviting, with plenty of outdoor seating. Bottom line: Whenever you see a Paris Baguette on your radar, pull over. It's dependable, delicious, and perfect for picking up pastries to share--or to treat yourself. To get here, you have wait in the middle of the road to park with high flow of traffic from the main road (Calaveras) or just turn into the lot if you don't want to park directly in front of the store. While we were browsing around, there was one staff refilling the mochi donut shelves and he asked if I wanted it fresh off the platter before he placed it into the shelves. We definitely said yes to the matcha, strawberry and sugar mochi donuts. We went sorta late in the day but, wanted to pick up treats for our coworkers and half the other pastries were almost out. We picked out strawberry croissants, some coffee buns and more smaller variety of croissants and packed it in two boxes. When we checked out, the cashier packed it neatly with the parchment paper since we were taking them to work the next day. read more

I only came here for coffee since my son was next door getting a hair cut. Food is pretty standard here. It's all sweet or savory. You can't go wrong. They had many options that you can't resist. It's spacious. People gathered in groups with their friends, hanging out or get some school work done. It's been more than 10 years or so since the last review. So I decided to post an update. Still good place for coffee and their many treats (Danish, tarts, etc). Unfortunately they all too expensive. I rather go to 85C where it is much cheaper. It's a great place to have your coffee and do work on your computer which I am doing right now. Lot less crowded than Starbucks located across the street. Due to this experience I will come here instead since it is on the same side of the road. read more

Unfortunately, I would say that their cafe is on the weak side. From their matcha to flavored coffee, drinks either taste watered down or too sweet. Service is straight to the point, but found the drink system they have not as efficient. Took the baristas some time making the drinks even without a long line, ordering food and cakes are quick but drinks require pull time. It's still a great bakery cafe in this neighborhood, inside the same plaza down a few doors from Grocery Outlet store on Calaveras Blvd. in Milpitas. This is actually one of the bigger locations. Since high inflation times, it's less crowded during the mornings now. Parking lot is usually congested, but has also eased up as more working class people are buying less and dining out less on weekday breakfast-lunch hours. I can easily find parking spots now. For a few bucks under $50, I purchased the pistachio strawberry cake this time. I noticed the cakes are much smaller nowadays and even their candles have shrunk in size by half size now. You must ask if you want candles these days. Cashiers are always helpful and I really enjoyed watching the employees make cakes from scratch in the kitchen through the large window inside. Good feeling. Pastries and sandwiches were fully stocked during morning hours. Pistachio strawberry whole cake was very fresh with lots of cream. Love it. Tasted very soft and good. Not too sweet. Low calories per piece too! Beautiful presentation and simple. We usually buy birthday cakes at PB locations every year. Overall, it's a great place to sit and enjoy mocha and have a pastry with it. My hot mocha small size cup was decent too. I'm not a fan of their coffee beverages, but the mocha was good. Satisfied. Just remember there's lesser customers during mornings nowadays. Like most Asian bakeries, Paris Baguette specializes in high quality sweets without being overly sweet. The cakes tend to be light, spongy, and typically topped with fresh cream. ** insert chef's kiss emoji ** One of the primary reasons as to why this PB stands out above the rest are the sweet owners!! They are involved and whenever I am lucky enough, I enjoy our little convos & interactions. The staff as a whole is very helpful, kind, and work promptly. It's been a while since I've been in this Paris Baguette and since we were having lunch nearby, we decided to pop on by to check out what goodies they have to potentially snack on later. Unfortunately the parking situation here still is tough especially with all the other popular restaurants in the area. So just be warned. Inside seems to be bustling. Not too many people were there when we went which is nice than you can look at all the goods. The shelves were well stocked which was great. There were so many new goodies that I hadn't seen or tried yet that although I was super full from lunch, I just wanted to cram them all in my second dessert stomach. What I've observed over time is that Paris Baguette tends to have a lot of crisp pastries and not necessarily a lot of soft ones. Albeit it's nice to see them branch out with fancy circular croissants and mochi donuts. Also like that they have miniature versions of larger pastries that can be shareable. Checking out was easy and it was nice that they packaged the goods in smaller bags for us. Easily paid by credit card. I don't go here often but it's nice to be able to have different dessert and pastry options when you need a snack or want to brings some goods to share with folks. read more

For $9 more, go with the large. Yes, $48.99 may seem a bit steep considering grocery store cakes are $20-30. However, you can taste the quality difference. The cake is fluffy and the cream is light and airy and not overly sweet, unlike store-bought cakes. Similar to some Asian bakeries, the smaller baked goods are self-serve. They have tongs and a tray available to hold the items you want. Paris Baguette has a few tables at the front for those who want to eat in-store. It's bright and clean inside. With many restaurants at this shopping plaza, the parking situation can be rough here. It may be easier to park further by BK or behind the plaza around the corner from the Korean restaurant. Getting out can be equally as challenging at the traffic light trying to get on to Calaveras. read more

I've been to every Paris Baguette in the South Bay and I was never offered a sample ever until today. I didn't even know they did samples. So yes, I want to just give Cassie a shout out for her incredible customer service and the tasty treats she gave out. This is probably the best store in the area. I never noticed the mirrored ceiling until today too. It's clean, the bathroom is clean and the service is incredible. You can't say that about the other San Jose locations. It's half-baked. It's Monday morning and I remembered I had an email from Paris Baguette for being a rewards member. I wanted to use my free pastry offer with a purchase of a drink. I ordered a Large Chocolate Hazelnut Nutella Latte and a Pain Au Chocolat (had them warm it up). My beverage was perfect not too strong and not too sweet, just right! My Pain Au Chocolat was also perfect warmed up, warm crispy, flaky and just the right amount of chocolat. When I entered the seating area, it had a few customers enjoying their coffee and pastries. Some working and some just chatting. The location is clean, not loud, plenty of tables. But that does depend on what time of the day you come in. They do offer free wifi which makes it great for people who are working out of the office. There are plenty of pastries that are freshly baked for you to pick and choose after you grab your tray and tongs. In the display case there are various flavor cakes too. Food/Drinks Salted Caramel Sweet Cream Cold Brew - Sweet Cream Cold Brew topped with a Salted Caramel Swirl. The drink wasn't overly sweet and subtle even with the caramel swirl. I would pass on this drink since the cold brew wasn't memorable. I decided to go all out and ordered new items: Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizzetta - Flaky Pizzetta with herb chicken, bacon, mozzarella, with ranch drizzled on top. It was toasted and served in a pastry paper sleeve. It was amazing and tasted like a lighter version of a pizza slice - pastry style. The crush was light, crispy, and flaky even after sitting out for an hour. It's definitely big enough to share or eat as a meal. Lemon Citrus Layer Cake Slice - Four layers of vanilla sponge cake filled with lemon curd and lemon soft cream, topped with lemon chocolates. Wow, I was pleasantly surprised with every bite! It was super light and had a nice lemon curd flavor that wasn't overwhelmingly heavy. I would order this again and hope they keep this flavor around. Customer Service The staff were really helpful and friendly. They also provided my drink recommendation - Salted Caramel Sweet Cream Cold Brew. Ambiance Casual spot to hang out or quickly grab takeout. There were a ton of tables that had parisian-style chairs. Location/Parking Shared parking lot in a plaza with other businesses. Was in the area so why not drop by? I went in to see what they have but I was really looking for the soft sweet potato cheesecake. I don't ever see it anymore, all I see now is just the regular one. I got a couple and looked around for more treats. When I go here it's usually already low in stock, maybe it's the time of day (later in the afternoon) or maybe they just don't make enough in the morning. Either way it doesn't matter too much to me because I don't really get that many stuff here other than the regular stuff I look for. I usually also get a slice of green tea chiffon cake if they have slices available and a hot coffee. Nothing else really stood out to me. Maybe because I have been casually going here for so many years that I have tried most of their stuff and am only after 2-3 things now.
