I can't say it is the best I've ever had. Doesn't even come close. The food was just mediocre. I liked the mac and cheese the best. The rib tips were very dry. I couldn't even eat them. Overall, Sharko's is very good. I have been here multiple times and would definitely recommend it. The burnt ends sandwich is my personal favorite as well as the garlic smashed potatoes. I've seen complaints about the coleslaw being bad and although it is a touch watery, it's still solid. . All of the sauces serve their purpose but my favorite is the pig juice. The ribs were good but not great. I've never experienced bad service here myself although I'm not usually there during peak hours. Actually the best part were the free home made pickles. Ate the slightly sweet and extra thin slices after each bite of the hot bbq sauce. Sharko's used to be our favorite BBQ place. Over the last year, it has gone way downhill. The ribs used to be lean and meaty, and now they are very fatty. The prices on the huge sandwiches went way up, but we were willing to pay it because the meat had been lean and tasty, and the portion size was huge. On our last visit, we ordered a sliced brisket sandwich but got burnt ends instead... the bun was soaked with grease, and half the meat was inedible burnt fat. Sorry, but I've have burnt ends here before - this was gross. The fries were cold. My wife's pulled pork sandwich was at least 1/3 smaller than before. In short, this was a disastrous end to what was a great place. We called and talked to the manager who said "Fries don't travel well." ... really? I bring fries home every week and they aren't cold. He said he would credit us for the brisket sandwich, and instead credited us for the less expensive pulled pork sandwich. We're done... won't be back. read more

Everything I have tried so far is really good. Each time I go, I get something new, but have yet to be disappointed with their BBQ. Their pork and brisket sliders are my favorite. Several sauces to pick from which is nice. Their corn bread is amazing. The only thing I dislike is their menu and ordering process. Its a little confusing and overwhelming. All their food is great, we love their Sunday beef brisket chili, we've done Thanksgiving dinner with their awesome turkey & fixin's, their brisket pork & beans are to die for, mac & cheezy amazing, ALL OF IT IS FANTASTIC !!! When they have their special pulled pork sandwich's, we buy a ton, they're great for work. Spices and those vinegar pickles are incredible. But most of all, the staff is totally amazing, so helpful, and courteous. Now if we can only get thru this COVID thingy so they can put that free soft-serve ice cream machine at the exit door . . . Food was average at best didn't really have much smoke flavor at all everything was priced separately which made for an expensive outing. Best BBQ in the area. A little pricey if you go with the individual meats (seems like a reasonable amount of anything ends up costing $15). Food can be a touch oily for my taste but many prefer BBQ that way. Sides are great. Pickles are great. Fun, tasty sauces to choose from. And free ice cream. A lot of people mention Q and I concede that it is a little better/cheaper, but if you live in the area and don't want to drive 20 minutes, I'd give Sharko's a shot. read more

Having read the reviews I thought this would be a good BBQ place. It was hugely disappointing. I ordered a slab of ribs, brisket, sausage plus the Mac n cheese and spinach sides. My expectation was that the ribs would be moist, smoky and flavorful. Instead, they were extremely dry with only a slight blaflavor. It was so dry that the meat was very tough and not chewy. It just broke up into stringy meat. The brisket seemed very moist and a decent taste. But it seemed to be swimming in grease. So greasy that later our stomachs were all feeling a bit ill from the richness of the grease. The best part of the meal was the sausage and the two sides. They were good but more on a fast food level. The spinach was really good. In the end that's not why we came here so please recalibrate your expectations to what tastes like low quality at a very expensive price tag. Please save your money. This is not a place for second visits. The,others here with higher reviews need to try real Texas BBQ (like Pecan Lodge in Dallas). I have had better ribs at Famous Dave's and the freezer section of my grocer. Aim higher! Everyone deserves a second chance and last night we went back to give Sharkos's another try. I have to say we were pleased that we did. The meats were very moist and tender. Between four of us we ordered different sides and all were good. The double baked potatoes were very nice but the broccoli salad was a little runny. We tried both kinds of beef brisket. My recommendation would be to stay with the regular brisket over the burnt ends which are still a bit too greasy for me. We may have caught them on a bad night before. And we're glad we came back. Picked up dinner for our family of 4 adults last night after seeing the giant inflatable pig! The meat was DELICIOUS! We had brisket and pulled pork. Both were excellently seasoned and fat free. This is the least fatty BBQ I can remember. Sides were good and muffins tasty. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the sauce. Sassy and Sharkbite were too sweet in general. We don't usually like mustard sauces but the Pig came closest to having a bit of a bite. We pulled a better sauce out of the fridge and ate happily. The best pulled pork we have ever had. Juicy, succulent, and just the right amount of smoke. Cooked to perfection. The pulled chicken is so soft and tender! Baked Beans will seriously make you wanna slap your momma(jk) but they are THAT GOOD! All the sauces are to fight over( and we do), and I haven't even started to think about the homemade pickles. Ordered catering from here for a party. Every dish was really good. Many healthy options for side dishes. The sauce was decent.

The tips and links were outstanding. Excellent sauces. Pickles and Onions were Super ****ONLY CONCERN***** they sell the meat by the pound, I noticed that they put the serving container and the lid on the scale. Then they placed the link and then the tips in one pile. I'm not saying they are cheating at the scale but.....are they? In other reputable bbq places, they put a thin sheet of paper and then the link. Weigh and take off the scale. Then they place a new thin sheet of paper and weigh the tips. All are then placed in a container. I would have given them five stars if not for the scale issue. Please fix, poor perception read more

Went to the Naperville location for lunch today. I had the chicken which I found to be very tasty and moist. I also had the corn bread, mac and cheese and cream corn. All very good and hot. I would have to say it was a bit pricey at $17.57 for lunch w a small drink. There are no combo meals and everything is separate. Id like to see them rethink that. The brisket was dry but we added BBQ sauce. Had good bark though. Ill go back for sure. read more

Meh. Overpriced. Very nice owner and fabulous customer service. Clearly knows how to bbq. The meat itself is cooked to perfection, BUT, if you don't like mustard based bbq sauce, which I loath, then you won't like it. Which I don't. Took me a few times eating there before I could put my finger on what I didn't like. But people should go here. And I certainly know locals that love this place. A regular for me. At least twice per month since they opened because we love BBQ and they are right down the street so that's awesome. Their brisket, pulled pork, sausage, and burnt ends are always must haves for us and always consistent. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and I love their lemonade and sides. My only negative comment is the sauce names don't exactly depict clearly the flavor, or region for which they are modeled so even after being a regular customer I stil end up bringing home a few samples of each and figuring it out each time. Perhaps a menu spot that describes the sauces and a little background/pairing suggestions would be a good addition to the experience. read more

We have been going to Sharko's since it opened but haven't been since Covid. Went there a few days ago, and quality has unfortunately gone down. The ribs were extremely tough, and hard to chew. Brisket was very good. Prices are high, and I think I'm ok with that for some really good ribs, but these were a big disappointment. Sorry to say as we used to love this place! read more

Went in for take out on 8/14/20...... very small space inside and extremely smoky. My eyes burned when I left this restaurant with my order and I smelled like smoke. Perhaps poor ventilation. I've been to many bbq establishments and never left smelling like smoke. As for the food..... disappointed there were " no burnt ends available" but the sliced brisket sandwhich was delicious. The ribs were tender and fall off the bone. As for the sides, I loved the spinach casserole as well as the homemade pickles. You get some pickles free with your order but I also bought a jar for home. The Mac n cheese was very dry. I also bought a shark bite bbq sauce and the original bbq sauce for home. The sauce is very good, just would prefer it sold in a squeeze bottle as they gave at the restaurant rather than in a jar. Over all Good. A couple items exceptional. And perhaps if I got a fresh Mac n cheese and burnt ends were readily available I would say the food was exceptional. Only down side is the eye burning feeling while there and smelling of smoke when I left with my order read more
